This dental practice is terrible. Really expensive and poor work. I had to have work redone and had to pay another dentist.

If I could give it 6 stars I would! I have been scared to death of dental work for YEARS. But I…read moreknew I eventually needed to go and get some long overdue work done. I researched and really liked the "feel" of Atlanta Dental Spa. Their "No Judgement" attitude is what I liked the most. I walked in the front door (BIG step) and Tiara took such great care of me. She is so sweet!! After x-rays and scans, I met with Dr. Gandhi who was very understanding of my fear. He was gentle and explained everything that needed to be done and what those options were. It was scary looking at all that was needed, but they offer sedation dentistry and that's what I did. After a good couple of hours of being "consciously knocked out", Dr. Gandhi, Whitney and Britney got the work done! I left being able to smile showing my teeth for the first time in years! But more so, correcting the things that could affect the rest of my health. After I got home I did NOT have ANY pain which is saying a lot as I had a ton of work done. They said that days 3-4 might be the worst for pain, but there was NONE. And that's taking nothing but ibuprofen. The advancement of dentistry is amazing. More than that, finding a dental office that treats you like family, sees you at your scheduled time, offers you neck warmers, blankets, headphones with your choice of music...but most of all truly cares about your patient experience. I'll keep my mouth healthy at Atlanta Dental Spa-Highlands and Dr. Gandhi is my dental guy going forward! (Also thanks to Tiffany who helped answer my financial questions!)

My dentist is better than your dentist. I promise you. Dr. Meshkian is an absolutely incredible…read moredentist and has done amazing work for me. The practice also schedules "family appointments" for me so I can bring everyone in at once for our biannual check-ups. It saves me so much time and the appointments themselves are quick, yet very thorough. I have never been left in the waiting room for very long and the entire front office staff is so incredibly pleasant. Highly recommend this practice!

I first started coming here because they are the closest dentist to where I live (Kirkwood). And as…read morelong as I live in Kirkwood and my insurance covers it, I will continue going to this office. To preface, I've had various issues with my front teeth since college due to an accident - 3 of my front teeth broke. Since then, I've had some level of insecurities due to the size and shape of my teeth. Before coming here, I did Invisalign 5 years ago, but my teeth looked awkward because of the shape of the crowns I had before the aligners. They did not look visibly straight and had weird alignment/angle issues. Since then, I've had my crowns replaced, and I'm finally at a point where I'm genuinely happy with how my teeth look. It's truly thanks to this office. Dr. Ahmadi has been my primary dentist for the last few years and has been one of the best dentists I've ever had. He listens to my concerns, answers any questions I have in a way I can understand (aka, doesn't use dental jargon lol) . He explains what is being done and why it's being done. A great guy all around. I had an emergency early November. One of my crowns (that was done at another dentist office) broke suddenly in several pieces. While their lab was creating a crown, Dr. Meshkian and Mayleen (I think that was her name, I'm so sorry if it's not) created a temporary tooth to place in the gap. I nearly cried because it looks so good while I waited for the real crown. I did not want to walk around with a gap in my front teeth for a month. Once the crown was delivered, Dr. Ahmadi finished placing it and helped scan my teeth for a new retainer. I swear I've seen the staff more in the last few months than I have some of my friends lol. But the staff is friendly and welcoming. I am genuinely so appreciative of all the work and attention they've done for me.

I have used this dentist since switching from Modern Dental (faulty equipment resulted in my mouth…read moregetting burned and blistered). I would say that Dr Kearns is a proactive dentist and will work with you to get your mouth in the best shape possible. Some patients may like a dentist who is more reactive in nature (read: cheaper), however I prefer the former and Dr Kearns office has been a wonderful fit for me. In addition, the staff at the front desk as as well as the dental techs have all been professional and usually remember me (for better or for worse. muhahaha) I would totally recommend checking out this office.

I cannot recommend this dental practice. My first visit was a cleaning, and everything was fine…read moreuntil Dr. Kearns came back and told me I had three cavities. This was surprising to me as I have been receiving dental care every 6 months for my whole life and haven't had a cavity in 10+ years. My prior dentist was in my hometown and someone I had been going to since childhood and was very familiar with my teeth. Because we had a good relationship with this dentist, my mom even asked them what they thought and they warned that I should get a second opinion. However, I was scared of having cavities, so went ahead with the fillings on Dr. Kearns recommendation ($400+ out of pocket for a college student). I was also told to buy an expensive specialty toothpaste in the office that retailed for half the price on Amazon. Over the next several months, I had horrific, constant dental pain where the fillings were. I couldn't eat anything on one side of my mouth for months. After about two weeks of pain, I went in for a revision, which did not help. Only now 6 months later I am starting to be able to eat on the other side of my mouth. I should note that I had no dental pain in this region before despite the diagnosis of three cavities. I should have switched after this, but had scheduled a 6 month cleaning immediately after my first appointment which crept up on me, so decided to just go in and do the cleaning. When I arrived, the front desk told me I had a balance of $170 that they were about to send to collections. I had not received a single text, email, or physical mail notifying me of my balance. I was able to pay this balance, but knowing that they were happy to send this to collections and potentially impact my credit score without any notification is a disgrace. The cleaning itself was fine, but my hygienist told me Dr. Kearns was very busy and when she came to check me out she barely spoke a word to me, only rattling off dental jargon to the hygienist. I will not be returning to Intown Dental Center. I have never had anxiety related to the dentist until now. The poor bedside manner, weaponization of authority to overprescribe procedures/sell you things you don't need, shoddy fillings, and lack of billing transparency all made this a horrible experience.

I know that I am such a pain when it comes to dental work. My teeth are so sensitive to cold air,…read morewater, sweets that it makes it very difficult for a dentist to do any fillings, crowns etc. Today I had my first root canal ever. I remember as a little girl the pain my mom spoke about when she had one (40 years ago). With that memory a root canal has always been my biggest dental fear. This morning I had a check up and was told I needed an emergent root canal. The doctor recommended having it completed today rather than my next availability in 2 weeks. In addition to sensitivity I am very difficult to make and kept numb. I am happy to report that the dentist and her assistant listened to my concerns, adjusted their treatment methodology and allowed me to control the suction (which generally irritated because of sensitivity). They listened to me when I became concerned about numbing and adjusted. There was ZERO pain during or after the procedure in the tooth that received the root canal. Over the years I have always advocated for myself and this office is 100! They didn't test me...they listened to exactly what I explained about myself.

Notes: It looks like "Polish Dental" went out of business -- Yea! -- but then the same "operators"…read morepopped up at the same location under a new name. So beware! The scammers running "Polish" are just now calling themselves something else. Also, every positive review I checked into on this site or Google turned out to be fake. One of them literally had "John Doe" as the name, so the fake positive reviews weren't even very well done. ##### I had a very bad experience with this office ("Comfort Dental" Midtown Atlanta, which seems to be the same people and location as the now-defunct "Polish Dental"). I went in for a routine checkup and cleaning. They performed the cleaning without having reviewed my records or done an exam first, and then the dentist told me everything was fine and I could go home... still without reviewing my x-rays or chart. (Anybody ever heard of a *real* medical professional performing procedures without looking at a chart first?) Only after I questioned this did they look -- and immediately found a serious cracked tooth: this is a type of problem that should have stopped them from performing even a cleaning until after it was fixed. Indeed, once they bothered to look at my x-rays, they stated it was urgent, and pushed for same-day crown work. The procedure was poorly handled (multiple failed attempts at numbing because they kept injecting the wrong site, and severe pain), and the temporary crown failed within about 24 hours (because they botched the "geometry" of the grinding so badly another dentist later had to completely redo it), leaving me with an exposed tooth and chronic pain. After that, the office became nonresponsive. They did not provide *any* follow-up care, would not clearly explain billing, and failed to provide complete medical records despite repeated written requests. I was charged nearly $1,000 for work that provided no benefit, and they also billed my insurance for a procedure they did not complete -- in fact, they billed for additional work they didn't even attempt to perform! I had to pay another dentist entirely out of pocket to fix the issue, because they wouldn't even refund the insurance for the work they hadn't done step-one to perform. Isn't that insurance fraud? There are also concerns about how this business is operating. They changed the name from Polish Dental, I guess because that company went out of business... but are still running credit cards and billing insurance in the no-longer-exsitant busines name. Finally, when I contacted GA State dental regulatory folks, they couldn't find any record of "Comfort Dental" even having a valid license to practice in this state. Maybe this needs to be a Fulton County District Attorney or even a GBI level matter, given how many laws they seem to be breaking. I'm not a lawier, but isn't practicing without a license a felony? Same for insurance fraud? I'd like a law enforcement pro to take a look, in any case, because these folks are a clear ongoing threat to public safety. Overall, this was not just a billing issue -- it raised serious concerns about basic clinical standards and patient safety. I would strongly caution others.
