Now to the part that really matters. My pup was diagnosed with renal failure a couple months ago. She and I had talked about this when I would bring Skip by when Wizard was in the hospital. She was empathetic to my plight and I could see that her heart was breaking just as mine was. She got out a book that had various medical conditions so I could read about how renal failure affects dogs and what you can do and what the vet recommends etc... what chain store would do that for you? None that I know of... All the pups that visit have a special place in her heart too. It's not just a business. It's family.

They are incredibly helpful and friendly no matter how you are shopping and I only mention this in particular because we have all had to adapt to new things during this time (Covid-19 pandemic). We are adding a new pup to our family this week and needed to get food for her. I was able to seamlessly call in a pick up order for contactless pick up from them. We followed him to his practice. My daughter even shadowed him several days and has applied to college for veterinary medicine. He has seen our chinchillas and is an incredible vet. Sadly the poor, uncaring nature of the staff is something I can't look past. Everyone is entitled to a bad day, however on two separate occasions when I called for appointments they spoke so degrading and crass to me. They sound like they just woke up, never have an answer to my questions and don't call back when I was told they will. Direct quote from one of them about my two year old Rottie " does he need a shot in the ass or what?" I don't feel they are capable of seeing misunderstood dog breeds that need a little more TLC in an office. I'm saddened to even write this because Dr. P is awesome.
