We were traveling and had to stop to get something to eat and Perkins was right off the highway plus I wanted to stop and get one of their delicious apple pies and blueberry muffins. We were a party of nine and we ordered several dishes off the menu from breakfast to lunch to dinner. Everyone enjoyed their dishes from the burgers to the skillets to the steak and broccoli and everything was brought to the table at one time. Our waiter was amazing. I was surprised at how good the food was. I would rate this restaurant 8 out of 10. Our tab was $160 bucks not counting tax and tip. That was pretty good for nine people eating at a restaurant. read more

Letter to Tomah Wi Perkins management....WHATEVER YOU DO...NO NOT LOSE THE CURRENT COOK STAFF!!!! THEY ARE THE BEST EVER. Been to this Perkins over the years. So so would best describe their past performance. NOT SO ANY MORE .... They are terrific. They are fast, and the food and preparation are 5 star! They sre also accommodating ! I currently have started dialysis and for me, all potatoes are off the menu. They great fully substituted fruit! World class for sure!! Thank you Perkins! read more

I loved this place. Very affordable option just like to Dennys or IHOP. Maybe even a bit more affordable depending what you order. Breakfast served all day. Lunch & dinner available as well with a variety of options. I think these options are also available anytime however, I would have to confirm this. There is also a bar with pool table and slot machines and "rippies". Friendly staff and attached to a nice looking Best Western. Very quaint when no tournaments in the bar area. Even so, it's still fairly quaint. You can't go wrong with the breakfast yum . read more

Great food! Phenomenal prices, you get a whole lot of food for a very good price. You will definitely leave full. Good spot to bring the family for breakfast. read more

Great staff and excellent food. Good portions and excellent desserts. If you leave hungry, that is on you. Great for small groups, and banquet room for bigger parties. Love this place read more

I really hate to be mean but this was such a disappointing experience. There were at least 5 flies buzzing around the table, I never got a water refill and my broccoli came out covered in black spots. I got a replacement side of fruit, which was a bunch of cheap melon and two grapes. The place is clearly understaffed and needs an overhaul. read more

Perkin's is a great midway stop for breakfast enroute to Minneapolis. The place was clean and I liked the light music they had playing to start the day. We were greeted by friendly staff and Paula our server was really good about taking our order and checking in on us. Breakfast items were served piping hot. The buttermilk pancakes aren't to be passed up! They make them from scratch daily and come to the table steaming hot with a nice ball of melting butter and maple syrup on the side. read more

Wonderful place to eat. Staff is very friendly. Food is hot and delicious with a variety of things to choose from. It is always clean. The new pie pancakes are to die for and make sure you save some room for dessert because the muffins and pies are the best in town. Whether you are looking for breakfast lunch or dinner stop into this Perkins and they will take great care of you and your family read more

All good and service plus food was very good. Place was clean everybody was happy. Food was warm and very good. My wife go to Perkins quite often read more

Always have good service and food but tonight, due to not being that busy, they shut down the restaurant early. No problem, we sat in the bar. Really wanted a cup of coffee and they said they dumped the pot already. This is 1 1/2 hour before closing. Very disappointing. read more

Was recently the Perkins in Tomah, WI. Had a delightful waitress named Kim. She was absolutely fantastic- she took our order, made sure we had refills, even visited with us as she was able. The atmosphere was great, you good the employees enjoyed their job and working there. Would definitely stop there again!! read more

Our servers Izzy and Brooke were fun. We had a great experience at this Perkins. I am not a fan of chain restaurants but the company I was with wanted to eat here. The layout is a chain Perkins so if you haven't been to one go check them out. The meal and desserts were as expected. Not a whole lot I can say about a chain but this one was fun. read more

Food was great! Took a bit to get it, but once it arrived it was tasty. Service was okay. Nothing spectacular. Overall good experience.

Showed up an hour before closing and was turned away. They opted to close the kitchen early because they weren't busy.

There early. Quite awhile to get seated. Short staffed. Nice Waitree and nice atmosphere. read more

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery - Steak & Eggs. Fruit dish. Quite tasty but meat towards the end very tough couldn't chew. - American Near Me - Tomah, Wisconsin

We didn't even get a chance to try the food so no idea if it was good or bad. We were part of a larger group, but were running late so we needed to wait as a result. We asked to be added to our group of friends when our turn came up on the list and the person at the counter told us it wouldn't be an issue. We had just wanted to be able to hang out with our friends and didn't care if we had to wait for our food so waiting to be served wasn't that a big deal. We waited for an hour and six other parties left before we finally got called. They then told that they would not be able to add us to our group of friends because they had already been served, but offered to seat us nearby so we could still socialize with them which we were fine with. However, they then tried sitting us in an entirely different room all together at which point enough was enough and we left. They really need to get their shit together. It very much felt like no one had any idea what that were doing. read more

Food was fantastic, our waitress Paula was kind and had great energy on the job. My food came out within 5-10 minutes after ordering.

Paula was an absolute amazing server. She has always gone above and beyond. Ive been in here a couple times and she's served me. Paula has always shown her expert service when I have been inside. read more

Excellent service by Paula! Food is wonderful. Nice selection of food, not just breakfast. Very clean and plenty of space between tables.

Classic American diner. This place is a local go-to for breakfast, lunch and dinner, everything from eggs benedict to grilled cheese and macaroni. You want it, you got it, and the price isn't too bad either. By the way, I can't say enough about their California Eggs Benedict. Usually their coffee is really good. If not, it's worth the wait for a new batch so let them know. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Then there's their pie rack... If you weren't full before you got to the register, well, pick up a pie because they are beyond excellent. read more

I enjoy the service of the staff at Perkins in Tomah. The food is always fresh and never had a complaint. Everyone always smiles and greets you when you arrive. Paula is my favorite waitress. She always remembers what cream I want for my coffee as well as the type of potato I want and same with the toast. Always a delight to visit Perkins in Tomah, Wi. read more

Waited 35 minutes after obtaining the water, waitress had be flagged down to ask when order would be ready and was told that the cook was busy. After I told we were leaving the order magically appeared. My salad was so salty I not finish it read more

Perfect. They have great food & a great staff. No complaints from my family of 5 everyone enjoyed their meals.

Eggs Benedict was spectacular, get the country fried potatoes, I think that's what it was called. Its served during breakfast as an option other than Hash. Its kinda like mini potato wedges. Breakfast for three with drinks was just under $30 bucks. Perkins must be stepping up.. they had two wide flat screen TVs on either end of the dining room. Displaying news and sports. Kinda unique, a little wild for a family restaurant.. I liked the fact that the restaurant was originally more about the family. Moving on.. guess what??? Yup you guessed it! They have a Big buck hunter Pro machine here! Of course, we played a round.. read more

I am not disappointed the service is amazing we got in and immediately got seated and served everyone was happy and nice. The food is hot and tastes great. They refilled our coffee and it was good. This place should get an Oscar. Pros: Amazing service, refills and tasty food. Kahn's: The bathroom is inside of a hotel and that kind of sketched me out. BUT OVERALL GOOD VIBES!!! read more

Food here is solid. Nothing special. Think the best thing I liked was that you could really order something off the menu and customize it to your likings. I got a breakfast meal and subbed some things and added and subtracted some other things. Np! What was shocking terrible was their lemon meringue pie. It was really terrible. I was shocked that it was homemade there at the place. I could have store bought one at a supermarket and it would have tasted better. read more

We showed up really at the end of the night just before close they welcomed us in and with amazing service and delicious food we were not treated just as if we were there at noon the staff meet all our needs and just excelled thank you for the excellent service clean bathrooms and dinning area I asked to meet the cheif as he made some really good food he was a great guy and happy to have a complement on his food he earned it. read more

Go if you're hungry but skip the town of Tomah altogether if you are of color, because they have undoubtedly nailed the subtle yet distinct condescending "no non-whites allowed" vibe that minorities are quite familiar with. I'm used to it but my Caucasian fiancé was pretty appalled that people still act this way. Thank God we are not from small town=small mind. read more

I had the Turkey Cobb salad there for dinner. It was good and filled me up. Im only rating it 3 stars due to it being a chain, my first visit and the fact that consistency is an issue at most chains. Terrible food. Waitstaff was nice but food was both under cooked and overcooked. Coffee was week and tasteless.

Food is always good. Hot and fresh. I would give it four stars if it weren't for the flies. Every time I've been here, there has been 1 or 2 joining me. It can get a bit irritating. Aside from that. Servers are great and the food never disappoints. read more

The food was great and our waitress was awesome. With that being said, don't fall for their "kids eat free" bit. We ordered three adult meals and three kids meals and somehow not a single one was free. Our bill ended up being almost $20 more than expected. We ended up leaving a great tip for our waitress because she really was exceptional, but unfortunately we won't be back to eat here again. read more

Our service was lack of and our food was cold and soggy. I always put my younger kids order in first and they didn't come till ours did and all our food was cold and soggy. When I went to pay the cashier didn't even pay attention to the card I handed her, I suggested she should check ID like the back of my card asked and she got rude with me as did the manager who pushed us out the door. Very bad service and food. Won't be returning nor will I recommend especially if you are military. read more

I usually do not write negative reviews but I must say this one deserves it. We stopped at1:30 pm, so we had brunch. I ordered the trio: soup, salad and pie, my husband a breakfast platter. When our food arrived my salad was half full of rotting lettuce. The waitress was not even apologetic, and seemed upset with me that I had the nerve to show! I decide I would forgo all salad choices and opt for a sandwich instead. She returned with the sandwich and no apology. My husband ordered soft scrambled eggs and got over easy, he did not complain. We were not visited again until we were completely through- no drink refills or my pie! When I told her as she was clearing g plates that we needed the pie removed from our bill she seemed upset- wanted me to take it with me. I said no we were traveling and it would not keep. No apology again. This was only the second time I had ever eaten at any Perkins restaurant, but my first go was a similar experience so , no more! read more

Food is good but the service we got from the waitress was terrible, my entree came with a free pie and when I asked the waitress for my pie she responded I was going to give it to all of you at the same time to go and I looked at her like ok and then she asked me are u sure u want it now and I said well I was going to eat it here but if you don't want to give it to me I guess I will eat it whenever u want being sarcastic then she noticed I was upset and said ok I will give it to you now !!!!!!!!! Then she was putting everyone's food at the edge of the table until I said excuse me can u tell me who this food belongs too? I almost put a complaint this was at Wisconsin dells !!!!!!! read more
