Was there on Sunday 2-9-25 and my heart was filled and warmed with this place and the manager Cristina and waitress Amy. A very unfortunate accident happened with a elderly lady and those ladies handled it top notch. The compassion and care they showed this lady and her family brought tears of joy to my soul and the world would be blessed to have more people like those 2 ladies and Perkins is very lucky to have them working so hard and representing their establishment. The patience and love I witnessed them share with the customers and families is second to none and the food was fresh and amazing and well executed. Great value and the staff really elevated our experience. I will never forget how great those 2 ladies were and hope they succeed in every aspect of their lives because kind people like them deserve it. This will be my families new go to spot for the rest of my days. read more

Food was amazing. I got meatloaf and it's homemade and so good. I've been going here faithfully for the last few months 2-3 times a week on my lunch breaks. Manager Christina is so nice and Ashley makes the best pies in town. They are always so prompt and polite and the value and loyalty program is very nice and makes it a lot more affordable for me as a single mom. I really like their cranberry raisin oatmeal cookies. I also tried the new Mac and cheese and it was delicious. And the new stacked cinnamon rolls are also very good Ashley made me one of each a few weeks ago and I shared them with my kids. They loved them and keep asking me to get them more. The campfire one with the chips and pretzels was the perfect balance of sweet and salty! Eh. I don't expect much from a place like Perkins. The food here is generally "meh". Late night, tipsy or drunk, that's the only time I'm going to check out a Perkins. BUUUUUUT I will say I do like their waffles and omelets. There are serviceable if it's late and you're hungry. Otherwise, I think I prefer IHOP or Waffle House better. On 1/07/24 about 4:00 pm myself, and an elderly senior women went to enjoy s meal at Perkins. Located close to home, was ideal choice to enjoy a meal and conversation. There was a sign stating Cash Only. On second look very few customers seated. Neither my mom, nor I had cash. My mom explained she was fatigued snd needed to eat soon. Asked if we could Leave our drivers licenses as collateral to serve us a breakfast meal. We live close to Perkins. Like the food and services the past 15-20 years. My mom was standing in a walker in front of manager. Asking him if please serve her as she had to eat something soon. Again saying I promise, you can take drivers license and she would come back to pay him. He ignored my mom shacking and uncomfortably holding unto walker. I chimed in said my mom has medical necessity to eat now, would he please trust us to pay him cash come back next day. He smirked said cash and cash only. I told mom lets not waste more time here. Manager was basically saying go to hell, he did not care she needed to eat, she had no cash! I was furious that most staff standing around no customers to serve. Perkins could not risk scrambling a couple eggs and pancakes on regular, neighborhood patrons. Basically said go to hell, no compassion or consideration. All worked out well. Went to IHop had wonderful breakfast and service too! Cold day in hell Perkins sees my business anytime soon! They rather turn you away than risk non payment while staff twiddles thumbs. This place is disgusting. The moment you walk in, you will be greeted with an odor that will turn your stomach. Trust your instincts and turn around and leave. The entire restaurant is dirty. Our table had a puddle of liquid on it from the last guest and the wall we were sitting by was an exposed board. The carpets were filled with grease and just sitting there will make you want to leave and take a shower. The service is also not good. Our waitress was having a profanity laced conversation with the table behind ours (while she was standing at our table). I don't care about profanity, however not good for kids. She also did not offer refills. The health department should really look into this pit! read more

My family and myself had brunch here (all 10 of us). We had a wonderful experience. They did a exceptional job with managing our party and few other big parties that were there at the same time. Our server was excellent very nice young lady I believe her name was Sam. She was prompt, polite, and very accommodating, personable, and also very patient with my grandchildren. The food and coffee was fresh hot and hit the spot. I had breakfast and my egg were cooked perfect and the pancakes are the best fluffiest I've had in this town. All the employees seemed very upbeat and happy. The manager prepared our table and sat us and stop by throughout our meal to check on us all. She was even cashed us out at the end and was very warm and inviting. I really enjoyed her positive attitude and personality. My grandkids really liked her she was very good with them and treated them with respect. They talked about how nice she was on the way home and were so happy to receive delicious cookies with there cute kid meals. We will definitely be coming back. Maybe for Thanksgiving and Christmas or both. We were informed by the manager they would be open. I am very happy that this place is still around and isn't brand new and too outlandish for my liking and that knows how to treat there customers right and have such great quality food and fair prices. It took 25 minutes for them to take our order. Then another 40 minutes to cook our omelets. Then when my husband looked at his they had put green peppers in it. This time it took 7 minutes to recook. The whole time we were there all the waiters did was say they were sorry for the wait time to everyone that was there. If this restaurant wants to stay in business they need to hire more staff. I used to come here a lot. They run coupons where you can get free muffins and I would buy a slew of them to take to work. The muffins are really large! They have a wide variety of pies and a varied menu. You can find something fairly healthy or something deep fried, so there is pretty much something for everyone on the menu. read more

While the menu looks great, the primary problem with this location is the staff. During our visit we were led to our table past a book with five waitresses all loudly gossiping and discussing previous customers tips. This continued for our entire visit, sometime when the waitress would walk over to check on us she would continue the gossip by raising her voice to almost yell level so the girls back at the table could hear her. There was a dish here called Grannys Country Omelet (or something to that effect). The first time one of us tried it, he ended up having serious digestive issues for the remainder of the night and the following morning. Figuring it was a fluke, someone else tried it. Again, same horrible results. Then I tried it, thinking I could beat Granny. Unfortunately, no go - she bested me. It became a challenge to see who could outlast Granny the longest. Eventually we figured out eating it was probably not such a great idea and gave up on the Granny Challenge. It's like Denny's - greasy, overworked/underpaid employees, food is "meh" at best. It was easy access since we were in the hotel across the parking lot. It was a much better option than the stale donut that the hotel chain offered but it wasn't that good. I would not return, we really only went due to getting 10% off our bill thanks to them advertising at the hotel. Realistically, portions for breakfast are smaller than expected. Long wait for coffee to be brought initially, don't bother hoping for any refill - and it wasn't even busy. He worked with since I really didn't know what too try this time around after the 1 st time coming here . So I got chicken strips and fried pickles and moztz stick and a brownie. Okay chicken was very good . So i went back agian 3rd time I got the mans name that helped me agian. His name is Eric I got the chicken strips appetizer are half off after 9 pm and also get 10 percent off for being at the hotel . So this trip I got chicken strips .motz stick and onion rings . Weird smell as you enter the restaurant. Very noticeable. Again, a diverse diner style menu. I had the turkey while my wife had shrimp and grilled fish. The portions were adequate for the price, served hot and were tasty. If given the choice of this restaurant versus another, I'd probably go elsewhere. We ate here tonight due to our late arrival. My wife had the 55+ turkey dinner - - I had the "Magnificent Seven" - - (2) eggs, (2) sausage links, (3) pancakes. The food was not real hot - - but, it was good. However, it was the second time we've been to this restaurant in the past three weeks and both times the drinking water we were served had a strange, peculiar taste. We live in Peoria and have the same city water Perkins has - - ours does not have this bad taste. It was so bad we never drank it either time. Eating at Perkins can be quite the experience. Aside from Steak N Shake, IHOP, and the bars, Perkins is the only other Peoria option for a sit-in restaurant that is open 24 hours on the weekend. Service while dining in is so-so, and the wait times are long. Also, being open during such hours brings in a bit of a wild crowd at times. Now, for carry-out, they are amazing. Service is phenomenal over the phone, and they get the food done very quickly. Check your bags before you leave though because they will occasionally miss a side or condiment. 1/2-off pie slices and appetizers are a great deal after 9 p.m. They have amazing pies here. Sometimes, they have weird concoctions that are extraordinary in their bakery but they are always for a limited time. They had these amazing cake pies and cookie/strudel mash-ups that they no longer sell. Food prices can be a bit steep for what you are getting though. Portions run average to small. read more

The service is ALWAYS great & it's a good value. We usually get our meal within 10-15 mins. Staff is very friendly. I'm devastated to hear they are starting to close some Perkins. Went in and should have just turned around. Place smelled like low tide and the AC must have just been working at 1/2 power. We were in a hurry so we were seated and ordered. Went to the restroom to wash up and it smelled worse than a Porta-Pot!! Flies everywhere! Food came, not horrible, but during the meal, water started dripping from the ceiling vent onto my wife and her meal. Waitress noticed us looking up and pointed out that sometimes condensation will drip from the dirt and dust covered vent. Wife is now worried about Legionnaires! No offer of a different table or any apology. And then $50 bucks for a breakfast for 4 people. Next time, just gonna stick with the sad continental breakfast in the hotel. read more
