Steak & Eggs

I can't tell you how many times I've come to this Perkins. I think I've had one bad experience in years. I usually stick to the same thing and it never goes wrong. I love the steak and eggs here. The steak is well seasoned and smothered with butter garlic that just gets the appetite flowing from the aromas. Our server was absolutely amazing and funny! Even after we finished our meal, we sat around catching up with a friend for a little and she was super accommodating. They also have new donuts in the bakery that look sooooo good!

When I entered the restraint I was not that hungry but when I sat down it only took 3 min. I loved the fast service in the morning. Then when I saw the menu I was surprised by all of the colorful pictures of the food and it took only 3 min to order. After it took about 15.56 min to get to my table. The ambiance was fine and all of the staff were great too.

I have to say I don't know why this Perkins has such low stars. I went with my husband and we got breakfast on the way to head back home. We were seated right away. Our server was very nice and pleasant. We ordered our food and it came out pretty quickly. Everything was hot and it tasted very good. We sat in normal booth seating and everything was clean. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area.

When I went on vacation to the Pocono Mountains, we dined at Perkins for breakfast one morning. I would never again! The onion rings were the best part of the meal. They were crispy and cooked to perfection. My breakfast was very flavorless and the eggs just had cheese thrown on top of them. The english muffins were hard as if the bread was old. I was not impressed. There was a long wait and the restaurant is loud inside. Service is efficient, but if you ask to customize too much you will be met with frustration.

Sophia was our waitress and she was wonderful and patient with us. We had a little one with us and the entire wait staff was so kind to her. We ordered the calamari and fries as a starter and omg it was amazing. The fries were the best and we def needed to place a second order for another round of fries. As an entree, my sister and I ordered the chefs special to share. It came with a steak, crab cake, and lobster tail, steamed string beans, and mashed potatoes. There was also a variety of sauces. Everything was soo delicious and loved that we got a taste of everything with the platter. We enjoyed our dinner and loved the ambiance. Olivia and the entire wait staff were great through our entire visit. I will def visit when I'm back in the area.

As an out of towner who has access to amazing cuisine options in my area this restaurant gets three stars and that's being nice. When you walk in it's like a motel entrance. Literally it has all the tourist pamphlets lining the entrance to the hostess stand which doubles as the front desk of the hotel. It's not welcoming and feels cheap. To get to the restaurant you walk down a narrow long bar area where plenty of locals (I'm assuming) were enjoying happy hour. Loud and unwelcoming imho. We were seated in a two top which is super close to another two top. When I requested a booth in leu of the table (every booth was empty) the hostess said they were all reserved. Noting during our entire dining experience there were empty booths. Felt a little shady. Server was very sweet and great personality but unfortunately was not very fast. Every time she finally came back to the table she was apologizing for taking so long. She had other tables but wasn't in the weeds that we could see (in my youth I worked both as a server and hostess). The homemade bread we were looking forward to wasn't fresh and it was lacking taste as was the dipping oil. Adding salt and pepper helped the oil dip. Even though we were both hungry we didn't eat all the bread. That's a problem. We ordered clams as an appetizer. Again, tasteless needed salt, no flavor otherwise. For dinner, I ordered a seafood trio with Brussel sprouts. My husband ordered a fillet cooked, medium with a baked potato. The crabcake lacked flavor had way too much filling tasted like it came from Cisco. After a second bite, I would not eat anymore. The shrimp was ho hum and the lobster not that great either. My husband's steak was very bland no flavor in the meat even though it was cooked to temperature with a slight char on the outside. Because of the slow service and lack of flavor in the food we just wanted to check and get out of there as quickly as possible. What a bust for over $200.

I was really impressed by how aware of allergies and dietary restrictions that are. Seating is ample, the space is huge, and the service is good. That + good food + excellent beer options (their own beers and some guest beers on tap) make this a great place beyond a quick drink.

The flatbread was just okay, cheese was tasteless and broccoli was nearly raw. The beer was also just okay, I got the pumpkin, blueberry, cream ale, and Hefeweizen. Nothing to write home about. The blueberry was particularly bad - but the pumpkin was good. There was musical bingo which was fun, but they play the songs waaaaay too long, never been to a musical bingo like that. Maybe play each song for 30 seconds, this guy played each song for like 2 minutes it was crazy. In almost 3 hours they only had 3 rounds of bingo! Overall, I'm not running back to this place and didn't get any beer to go - rare for me from a brewery. Some staff was nicer than others. Shout of Aliya our sever for being very kind and attentive.

The staff was very nice and seated us promptly, we were sat at a table that was booth on one side and chair on the other but it was an extra tall bar stool type table. Soon as I sat down the sun was right in my eyes. Yes only a small nuisance till the bar tender shut a blind (because the bar folks were effected) but there were so many empty table. Why sit us at this table ? There were plenty of other tables that would not have had this issue. Not sure why the hostess would not know not to use this table for this time of day. Other then that the place was very clean and a normal pub type atmosphere. Nothing super special though. We started off with an appetizer called the "Texas Twinkie" - okay. I read "twinkie" and think some form of cake/bread with a filling. What we got was more of an egg roll. The outside was either a wonton type wrap or a tortilla then filled with brisket, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeño, and BBQ sauce. This was very delicious but definitely misleading in the name and the menu didnt really describe the item, it only give the name and listed the ingredients. I bring this up because we also ordered the traditional pizza.... what we got was more of a flatbread and pretty bland as well. Super basic bread with a lack of flavor marinara sauce and cheese. Also the sauce to cheese ratio was sad. You can tell this because all the cheese on the slice would come right off with 1 bite. We would not order this again based on the price and what was served. I also had the French onion soup. This was pretty well done. Not to salty, no crazy cheeses added. It was well balanced and was worth getting. My partners entree was the barley creek whiskey BBQ sauce on chicken tenders. These were just ok. The sauce seemed more tomatoe based then normal for a BBQ sauce and again just wasn't what one would expect from the name whiskey Bbq sauce. I am sure people do like this place but it wasn't very impressive to us. 3 out 5 stars is a fair rating as service was good for the most part, the place was clean with a decent amount of menu options, but the execution of the food lacked and the menu names are definitely misleading for the items we had ordered.

Definitely recommend their brownie sundae for dessert, with their Double Dunker ice cream! SO GOOD! I also included a video of one of our rowdy kiddos having a good time with her food! Super worth it dining experience, I will say there is absolutely no signal to use your cellphone, so more family bonding haha. This place is amazing and would definitely come back.
