We have a now-unusual well-made armchair with wooden legs -- and unexpectedly to all, it reclines! You just can't find pieces like this, and certainly not at affordable prices anymore. So when it became ripped up over the years, we knew we wanted to keep it. I spent HOURS reading reviews to find a local place to trust with reupholstering it. Although I saw that this business seemed to focus on cars and boats, the reviews were excellent, and the pieces of furniture impressive. When I went to look at fabric options (warning: it's a bit hard to find, and you might wonder if you're in the right spot: you are), In couldn't believe the available inventory. The owner kept bringing us fabric books and helpfully explaining about quality, prices, etc. We found a pattern we liked, and the quality is excellent (UV, stain, and tear resistant). We also saw some amazing ongoing upholstery projects in the shop, so we felt confident we were in good hands. Sure enough, within just a few weeks, our chair was ready and looks like new. We're so happy with new padding, attention to detail and quality of the work. They even threw in a free tuxedo cat! (Just kidding, that's Alex.) We keep meaning (and forgetting) to bring two little stools to be matched. But have no doubt: anything we need (re)upholstered, we're coming here.

Later he was able to get us a pass so we can go there on our own, too. There never was any pressure to be done selecting the fabrics to start work, and we certainly took our time to find the right colors and materials. Because that selection is very important and he is cognizant of it. When the selection was done, he came to us to pick everything up and did the work quicker than we thought it would have been possible since we extended the scope of the work on the fly: we decided to replace all the existing 23 year old seat and back foam in addition to re-upholstering, also grease up the rotating stools, add nonscratch pads to legs, and apply two layers of Scotchguard. Everything happened smoothly, with wonderful timely communication along the way, and finally delivery with everything carefully wrapped up in plastic for protection. The final result vowed us!
