I brought him a Pendleton blanket to incorporate with leather for a new bench seat, giving a nod to the 70s while still keeping a luxury feel. Together they collaborated with me to design an entirely new look that exceeded my expectations. The result is simply stunning--Ed is a true artist who has perfected his craft. He had a wide variety of leathers to choose from, and I ended up going with a gorgeous Mercedes leather. The transformation is night and day compared to the old, ratty seat cover I had before. On top of that, my truck didn't even have carpet, and they custom-made a carpet that fits perfectly and pulls the whole interior together. Every detail is thoughtfully done, and the quality is second to none. If you're looking for someone who not only has the skill but also the passion to bring your vision to life, Ed (and his right-hand man, whose name I regret forgetting!) are the team to go to. Mike and his wife are very personable and know auto upholstery backwards and forward. They have a very neat and large well organized shop. I wanted to add headrests to the existing seats and Mike set me out on a hunt for headrest parts that he can put on the existing seat frames. He is great to work with. My wife will have to pick out trim and color pattern for our new seats. Since the Malibu is hi metallic black on the top and hi metallic red on the body, we will have black seats with red and maybe silver accents. Should really dress up the Mali SS. No amount of handwaving and slick talk will convince me that they need that much time in labor and no parts. The time it would have taken them was 8 days - everywhere else was 2-4 days. I had my car taken apart, cleaned, dried, and detailed and out back together to a very high standard for less time and money. This is just a word or warning - shop around. When they quote you without even looking through an open door, that's when you know they have too much work to give you a fair shake. Sure was a pretty building though!

The car is now at another shop, where mechanics are correcting issues that Vintage Customs should have already taken care of. They might be great with certain classic cars, but I cannot recommend this shop for classic Camaro(s). The friendliness was there, but the workmanship and accountability were not.

He said that he knew a shop that did really good work and it would be easier for me to get service a few minutes away rather than an hour or so drive. But if they could not help call him back and he would fix the top. So I called the other shopp but they were booked until after January. I called Matt back and he got me on the schedule. I drove up yesterday it took an hour and a half. Matt was there and got the car in immediately and started to work on it. About an hour and a half later he had the job wrapped up and I was on my way back home. Perfect! The reason I contacted All City Convertibles and Customs was because of how rare it is to see a company with 100% 5 star reviews. Yes price is important but it was not the driver to go there. It was the fact that they actually cared would talk to me and were there to help. I think when you read their reviews you will see that.
