We tried this spot because we were in the area handling some business on Sunday and didn't feel like cooking. The menu is massive with different types of offerings but we were interested in the Peri Peri chicken. We both ended up ordering a half chicken with mild sauce, and we turned them into combos for additional $5.00 each. The total came out to $43.24. We both had corn on the cob as our side. I was a little frustrated because the combo options were confusing. The corn was just some frozen half ears with grill marks that tasted dry and burnt. The chicken was equally dried out with just a hint of flavor on the skin. We also tried one of their mocktails, the passion fruit version. For $5 we got like an 8 ounce cup of sugar or syrup flavoring with a lemon and another cocktail garnish. The funny part is I watched her fill half the cup with the Stary soft drink! Peri Peri is where it's at! The gal at the counter immediately greeted us and offered to answer any questions we had. The menu had a lot of eye catching items I wanted to try, however it came down to the Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich. I'm typically particular with chicken sandwiches because sometimes the chicken can be dry or you get a piece of chicken with mediocre flavor. This chicken sandwich did not disappoint. It came with three pieces of chicken nicely fried with a perfect golden crispy crust. The honey and garlic flavor ignited the chicken's juices. It came with a slice of American cheese which at first I was skeptical because it wasn't fully melted, however it melted in each bite I took. It was so good, I decided to get another one to go for dinner. [foodie confessions] I made the meal a combo with a side and fountain drink. I went with the Peri Peri fries. The fries were seasoned and tasty. The other item ordered was a quarter chicken with rice and a side. The side of choice were the olives. The chicken was juicy and naturally paired well with the rice. The olives had a blend of sweet lemony flavor. It was delicious. We passed on dessert however there's Hershey's ice cream with a variety of shakes that looked yummy. Perhaps next time. We got served by the talking robot which was cute. It brought the food to your table, you grab your food and simply follow the instructions on the screen for it to return. Don't fret, the staff still checks in on you to make sure you got everything you ordered. It's a casual (fast food type) of dining so don't expect the full wait service. This place is no longer PPO (consider that closed at this location) it is now a Nash&Smashed chicken and burger place that is still trying to get its act together, we were waiting 50 minutes for a hamburger and chicken and waffles (Saturday at 1:00) and didn't have the waffle in the bag when it was given to me for takeout. Came here for a post-workout meal (Planet Fitness is in the same complex) with a friend. Restaurant was clean and the server was quick to clean the tables after customers leave. It was not very busy when we came in around 7pm on a Monday night. We ordered the Mini Platter with Peri Peri Fries and a Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich to share. The Mini Platter includes 1/4 Chicken, 2 wings and 2 chicken strips. We asked for the Hot sauce. It was tangy but mid. The chicken itself is fairly bland, so you need a lot of sauce. We asked for the other flavors just to try out and liked the Mango Chili the most. The platter includes a choice of one side so we ordered the Peri Fries, which comes with a side of ranch. These were on point - fried fresh and crispy. The show stealer was the Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich. Chicken filet is fried and then topped with the sauce. Combined with the bread, the sandwich made the other chicken look sad. If you decide to check this place out, go for the sandwiches! This location is brand new and is hosting a grand opening event in November. We stopped in and noticed they have a kiosk where you can place your order if you don't want to stand in line. We decided to go the old-school route and order with an employee. I ordered the honey garlic chicken sandwich + 1 side and opted for the onion rings. My wife ordered the Nashville hot chicken. When I opened the bag to start the meal I was surprised to see three sauce containers (everyone knows I love my sauces). Two were a garlic dipping sauce which I assumed were for dipping the sandwich into. The other was a oil mixture that may have been for the onion rings. I could be wrong but that's how I ended up using them and they were superb. First of all, if you are a garlic lover then this is your sandwich. As someone who can eat baked garlic paste alone, I felt right at home. The rings themselves were cooked perfectly and had a fresh taste to them. I ordered the lemon and herb chicken and garlic bread. The chicken was dry not much herb, fully overpowered by lemon juice. There was no garlic in the garlic bread. Just buttered bread. Disappointing at all levels considering I tried this first time and the high hopes you would expect from original peri peri. I came to Peri Peri after spending an hour at Uptown Cheapskate, I thought to myself why not have a late lunch here since I've had their food before (Laurel Location). At first the joint is clean and well placed but I couldn't help but notice that there was a lot of signs of their restaurant being "halal" nothing wrong with that but the only time I've seen a huge emphasis on halal is at Indian/middle eastern restaurants. I check out their menu and I'm incredibly confused by everything. They didn't have the franchise kid meals, the grilled chicken, and basically the standard peri peri menu. I was overwhelmed so just ordered the chicken fingers and corn bread. The food comes out and the chicken was ok but it lacked freshness. The cornbread was what really convinced me that their food wasn't fresh. It had a weird gray look and it was very dry and tasteless not like cornbread and it smelt like it had a lot of nutmeg. I asked for a different side and ordered the seasoned rice, the rice arrived and I immediately smell this "perfume" smell. The rice smelled like a bath and body works, it looked like it was leftover rice from how every many days ago and was just down right nasty. I tried taking a bite but then I immediately started dry heaving. I just threw away the food and kept it pushing. This isn't peri peri. It's someone who's of Indian or afghan descent who bought a franchise to only serve their motherland food. I have no issue eating this kind of food, but I came into this place expecting Peri peri. So wanted to like this, but every time we've ordered from here, the chicken always tastes like raw poultry even though it is fully cooked. In fact you can smell that poultry scent off of the chicken, even though as mentioned a bit ago, it's fully cooked. It's happened every time we order the chicken over rice. Fantastic new location with the same great halal menu! The interior is brand new with clean flooring and comfy booths. The Prime Peri Filet and Honey Garlic Chicken sandwiches were excellent. The extra hot on the fried chicken sandwiches is actually pretty hot so be prepared. I wish the shakes were a little cheaper but no complaints on the flavor. Perhaps the worst food we've had in this area especially for the price . The chicken is basically a slob of chicken smeared with a spicy red chili sambal paste like thing and has no taste . The fries were undercooked and costed $5.49 as an add on with a real small portion . We thrashed it all as it wasn't cooked at all. The chicken nugget was more dough than Chicken.
