My shelf, and wallet, can testify to that loyalty. The former manager and team were exceptional, which is exactly why I kept coming back. And then... today happened. The current staff have somehow managed to turn a luxury experience into a masterclass in how to alienate a devoted customer. Charging for samples, the very gateway that led me to purchase every single scent I own, is not just tone-deaf, it's laughably bad strategy. But what was worse was the attitude: dismissive, argumentative, and outright rude. Instead of fostering curiosity or connection, they essentially told us to leave. So I will, permanently. Consider this a case study in how to dismantle years of brand loyalty in a single interaction. I will never set foot in this location again.

I spend a small fortune on clothes and I have been a customer of Anthropologie for many years and I make purchases constantly. I purchased two tops that were a huge disappointment they were at full price, yet the material was awful thin & scratchy and see through also one of the tops wasn't completely sewn it had a huge hole in it at the seam. I had to wait 3 weeks for the inventory to come in for them to ship it to me and I immediately cut off the tags but realized they were awful and 1 was damaged. Returned them to the Westport store the next day after receiving them in the mail. The sales lady was high and almighty saying she would do me the favor just this one time but the tags need to be on for a return. WHAT HAPPEND TO GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE INSTEAD OF APOLOGIZING FOR MY INCONVENIENCE ONE WAS DAMAGED AND I HAD TO WAIT FOREVER TO RECEIVE THEM JUST TO TURN AROUND AND RETURN THEM THE NEXT DAY! When I called for an appointment, my call was handled by your AI chat Madi. I asked a couple of times to be transferred to an actual salon member but Madi assured me each time although that was an option, it would be so much quicker if I had her handle it. I requested an appt for an all over color & blow dry. I also asked to assure the 30% discount was applied. Madi made my appointment & said the discount would be handled at the Salon. When I received the confirmation, I saw Madi had booked me for roots only. There was an edit option, so I corrected the mistake & noted what I needed done in the Comment/Note section. At check-in & with the Colorist, I was told Roots Only & I explained the situation. The girl apologized, as she saw my note. The Colorist took a before picture & after coloring my hair, she said it would be 39 minutes. I reminded her & that I needed the ratios of the 2 colors used before I left so I can duplicate at home. Next was my shampoo & was a great experience. She was friendly, thorough & a joy. She apologized that although she was doing her best, the residual dye stained my face. Why wasn't your own product Stainless-Preventing Barrier Cream used? I was still dealing with this for a couple of days. After the shampoo, I was directed back to my station & given a blow dryer & brush...no full blow out. My station had no mirror to watch the color process, so I did my best with the blow dry. My colorist was nowhere in sight to take an after photo & tell me the ratios for home. As I proceeded to checkout, I was asked how I liked the results & I replied I have no idea; I haven't seen it. In addition, the edit done to the appt wasn't showing on your end & I was told there was no way to fix the charge or give me the 30% discount. The girl was very apologetic & did her best to rectify the situation; she even found a code for 20% that would work. In the end I walked out paying pretty even to the online price. However, I would not repeat an in-salon experience.
