Management, you need to know that these are A+ 5 Star employees!!!! I'm in my 50s and needed to buy several outfits, including for a funeral, and these young women were phenomenal in terms of helping me find something and just their incredible joy and passion about their job. I've been a customer of yours for over 15 years, but moved away a few years... still my favorite place to go shopping for all kinds of things! Wish you had a store in Arizona!

It's wedding season and they're very busy but they fit me in and knew exactly what to do. One week later I came back in for my fitting and the smaller dress fit me perfectly. And the icing on the cake, its a female owned small business: 3 sisters who all are extremely talented and absolutely adorable. I can't say enough about them!!

As I'm reading some of the reviews be considerate of the women in this shop who have to deal with the MOMs not the teenagers. Shame on You. In today's society everyone is too sensitive. For goodness sake if someone were to tell you that your kid needs a size up! you would have a heart attack for someone telling them that. Today's shops are afraid of suggesting anything that might offend you because everything offends everyone Get it straight. It's not Their fault. It's yours. They're catering and staying in business so you don't have to go online and get a tight, cheap, poorly made, non refundable, no contact piece of fabric. So we all can enjoy a Special Day. A step Ahead is Fantastic! Thank you for all that you do. You are appreciated and you have made Millions Happy!

Claudette's women's boutique is one of my very favorite stops when visiting Old Greenwich…read more Claudette (also the name of the owner) has an amazing stock of very fashionable, high quality clothes in a range of prices. Her shoes are also really nice--and she carries some Patricia Green flats which are hard to find! Her jewelry and handbags are also really great. Claudette is very helpful and knowledgeable regarding helping customers choose styles that work for them and look good on them -- she's not afraid to be honest when something is not a best choice for one of her clients. I highly recommend this wonderful boutique!

The no-return policy is understandable to prevent woman from wearing an expensive item and return it for cash. However, this dress never left the store. I walked in there the first time and refused to try on something i thought was for 'skinny women' (im a size 6) (eyeroll warranted. It's cool). I knew i could look like i did in the dress... But i was always too scared to try anything like that on. Now?? I don't need a reason to put on a beautiful dress. Or they OVER buy on a trend from the 2000's....There's no variety. There's nothing that makes this place worth a visit. Most of the staff is just as uninspiring. They offer a halfhearted greeting when you walk in, but beyond that, they're completely disengaged--mostly standing around with their arms crossed, looking like they'd rather be anywhere else. Which makes sense because they barely make minimum wage, which is concerning considering how much the owner walks away with year after year. I probably wouldn't be inspired to help customers either. It's pretty obvious that the owner of this store couldn't care less about their employees--or their customers, for that matter. Unless you're looking for outdated clothes and indifferent service, I'd recommend shopping elsewhere. Go shop at the family owned business Richard's in Greenwich much better selection, happy employees and OWNERS!

Darien sport shop seems to have survived the online revolution with help from, you guessed it Santa…read moreClaus. Every year Santa comes and kids line up from across the country to sit on his lap and tell them what they want. In Darien, that could be a new Canada goose jacket (available at DSS) or a new pair of Nordic skis (available at DSS). Maybe even a new Range Rover (not available but DSS can order it). And for the adults who brave the intense December line to catch a glimpse of the big guy, they setup a makeshift bar (no charge of course) with Bloody Mary's, Mimosas, Beer, Wine, all the fixings. Back to Santa, did I mention this guy is the real deal? He claims that he runs a bird seed shop in the off season, lol. Yea Kringle, I ain't buying it. Tell those elves at the North Pole that the socks you brought me in '94 were bull$#&!. Jk I'm a good boy I take it back.
