Extremely rude staff that showed no care or intent towards customers. Prices were outrageously high with extreme markup.

Clean and organized storefront. Every sample was labeled and instead of handing it directly they folded the end so that it was easier to pick up. The ladies were pleasant and well informed on the different notes in all the perfumes they carry and even ones not in the store. The interaction felt genuine and not forced. They have a wide selection and able to find something that suits personal collection that will complement in all prices ranges. Will be back again. read more

Yesterday I went in to buy a perfume for me and another one for my girlfriend. Everything went fine, I chose the perfumes and exited, the perfume that I bought for myself wasn't of my linking, so I changed my mind and went in for an exchange. When i walked in, the girl that had previously taken care of me, wasn't there so a tall male with glasses took care of me this time. As soon as I mentioned I wanted to return it, his attitude changed, he clearly seem mad and irritated about this. At the same time a little kid with his sister walked in to ask about the girl that had previously attended me, to which he refused to answer ever after the kid explained it was her friend and was looking to be assisted by her. After a little back and forth the worker kicked them out off the store. As for my case, he exchanged the perfume for a Invictus that came in a beat up box. (It came as it is in the picture, it didn't even come with the plastic warp). Overall a bad experience, even though they have a pretty wide selection of perfumes, they need to better up their costumer service. read more

Went in today to purchase an atomizer bottle to test which fragrance I want to purchase. In which I asked if i could purchase the two for 25$ atomizer in which the sales associate (santos) informed me that due to policy that I would have to make "a minimum purchase of 40$" and I asked specifically if I was allowed to put any other fragrance than the one I am purchasing and he said yes. In which I purchased the red Versace and the two atomizers both different fragrances and he did just that for me. Once I got to register he first said my total was 83$ and some change in which I seemed surprised by then santos said if I'd like to join their rewards in which I did and now check out. He said oh I am only going to charge you one fill fee. I asked what there is a fill fee? In which he said "I know it's a stupid policy and that's why he only charged me one" so I accepted the kind gesture obviously concerned about it but I didn't immediately say Anything. Due to having to go to work. Once I got home I called in to address my concern in which mikeee said to bring it in as long as it's still sealed he will refund. I went in and he was extremely visible upset. I even asked him if he was to allow it I could purchase just the atomizers so they didn't lose out on money. In which he very rudely yelled at me saying that it's my fault because I didn't clearly understand their policy in which it was explained and I clarified that santos did not properly tell me any fill price was required. I asked mikeee if he was on with it is still purchase the atomizers so their company didn't lose money. He very sarcastically said "thank you sooooo much for being sooooo kind" in which I made the decision to let him know please just refund the entire amount and I gave him all product and receipt . He then completely went off and kicked me out of store and threatening to call the security and police. I walked out and am pretty shocked at this demeanor of this guy. Looking at other reviews this isn't the first occurrence of this guy. Save your time and money and don't shop here. read more

They sell perfume. End of story. Oh, you want more? Okay... I walked in knowing what I wanted to get, but humored the salesgirl when she wanted to show me the top ten bestselling perfumes of the season. Ended up buying the perfume I went in to get... the Acqua di Gioia (Armani). They did have some good sale/manager specials going, five to six perfumes that I could have bought for $10-$25 depending on the brand. But I restrained myself. I really enjoyed this store! Walking in, the aroma of all the perfumes mixed together was wonderful! I cannot say the same for every fragrance shop I walk into. The employees here were casual, fun, and helpful. They have a huge selection of perfumes for women and colognes for men, and lots of it were on sale on top of the already discounted price. There are also make-up items and nail supplies here as well. Would definitely come back. read more

The only reason I am giving them 5 stars is because of the kind gesture that was made today, after a hellish experience at the Gap we (my client and I) went into this store to see if he had enough money left over to buy some cologne. Well, long story short - he didn't. He was short almost $6. When the cashier told him the cost he said. "I'm sorry I don't have enough can you cancel it?" For some reason she couldn't, she said something along the lines of I need to finalize the purchase before doing a return. Anyhow, after struggling for a bit she pulled out her wallet and added the $5ish that he was short. He got very embarrassed and at first refused to accept it. She said don't worry about it. I told him to "allow someone to do something nice for you - its okay - count it as a blessing." He did. I thought that was just wonderful of her. So sorry I didn't get her name, but to the girl at the counter: if you're reading this - Thanks again!! You made someone very happy today. :) read more

I bought success for $10 on Black Friday sale but the quality of the cologne looks really cheap and felt like it was water added in the cologne cuz I couldn't smell it. I have to spray Atleast five times in order to smell my cologne. Not a good experience, felt like it was a fake one. read more

Anne H.....I had the exact same experience this year during the holidays. When I read your review, not only did I think I had written it myself, with the mirror image of what happened to me, but I also dealt with a very rude and unhelpful sales girl by the name of Ines, that not only spoke to my wife and I in a very rude tone, but made my wife feel like she was belittled and laughed at as we left. I took it a step further and contacted the district manager, to let him know of the way his employees are treating his costumers. Not only was he as RUDE and unhelpful as the employee he admitted he hired himself, but he then hid his rudeness and lack of wanting to make it right, behind the "Corporate Policy". I too am in the customer service industry, and I Manage a restaurant right across the street from the mall that I had this horrible experience in. You can make sure that everyone I come in contact with, and everyone that walks in and out of my doors will know the type of attitudes and customer service levels this brand runs on!!!! I am very disappointed with this company. I have recently purchased 2 items from this company because I really liked the promotion that is going on. Today, I went in to try and return one of the perfume because I got it as a gift for someone and they did not like the scent, I was rejected for my return or exchange and I had the reciept at hand. When I went in I was told that since it has been sprayed. I was not able to return this item. I find that hard to believe because first of all, when I purchased the product the retailer failed to mention the return policy, If I would have known about the return policy I wouldn't have purchased the product in the first place. Second, that is not professional, I feel that this company has decieved me and completely "riped me off!" Lastly, being in the retailing business this company should acknowledge that the holidays are coming and people (me being the case) will consider "retuning or exchaning" so why not mention the return policy to the customers? This doesn't make sense to me at all and I am really upset. I am stuck with an item that I know I am not going to use. read more

I called the Perfumania at the Folsom outlets and asked if they had Sensuous Nude for a Christmas gift for my wife. They said they did so I went in to get the perfume. I again asked the woman at the counter for Sensuous Nude and without hesitation she grabbed it off the shelf and handed it to me. She seemed more concerned with trying to up-sale me on some lotion then making sure the perfume was right. After I gave it to my wife for Christmas, she realized right after she had sprayed it that they had given me the wrong perfume. It was a different Sensuous perfume. When we went in to return the product with the receipt they told us that it could not be returned because it had been used and that they don't even carry the perfume she wanted and had never heard of it before. They refused to return it and gave us the district managers phone number. If it had been our fault I would understand there no return policy. But this mistake happened because of the lack of knowledge of their employees and they should have tried to make it right instead of basically shrugging their shoulders and saying sorry. Sorry doesn't get my $75 back or the perfume my wife wanted. We will never go back to any Perfumania again. If you do make sure you double check everything you get. read more
