It started when I first arrived and I had to start from scratch with setting up my appointment. I called the number I made the appointment with prior to my appointment and they had the appointment set up still, not sure what the problem was there. Got the service done, then I arrived to pick up the car and they have misplaced my key. I'm told it was misplaced while they were vacuuming. Took about 10 minutes to find the key. I'm charged, I'm looking at the receipt while they look for my key, turns out they overcharged me by $133 for labor. Had to have that refunded. Finally they find the key, my money is refunded, I get in my car, & it wasn't even vacuumed. Not a great experience. The only thing I was pleasantly surprised about was that they store your summer tires for you at no charge when you switch to your winter tires. read more

We had the worst car buying experience ever. We went into the dealership mid November. After a 1,000 down payment and the promise that they would find us our desired car by the end of January, we are finally getting our car mid April. Throughout the whole process there has been a lot of miscommunications and delays. In addition to the delays and miscommunication the general manager was very rude to me when I confronted him about these delays. Overall this dealership does not feel trustworthy and I have had much better experiences buying from other Toyota dealerships (try out Larry Miller). read more

I purchased a used sienna from here, the overall feel and experience was nice. The person that sold me the car was professional and helpful. Why 2 stars ? 1) failed to disclose up front there was only 1 key for the van. Didn't find out until after the purchase was complete. 2) one of the selling points for me was I got to ditch paying for a monthly car wash service and use their unlimited car wash benefit. Well, that's all fine until you find out that you have to wait over an hour for them to wash your car and that's WITH an appointment... I do not have that kind of time, for over an hour wait I would expect a professional detail job, it's no better then me just doing it myself in a driveway which isn't good. The auto wash down the street even does a better job and their cheap derailing service does it in 15 minutes on a busy day. Overall I'm a bit pissed at them using this as a selling point. I have no shame in bringing my kids with me to run around and make a mess of things while they make me wait for a stupid car wash. Living in slc you kind of need this to keep the cars from gaining rust during the winter. So with that closing, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM WITH THE IDEA THAT YOU ARW GETTING FREE CAR WASHES BECAUSE IT WILL COST YOU YOUR TIME.. A LOT OF IT.... time to go buy my service again. I have a Prius. One faithful day that Prius stopped running, with a dash light saying "Check Hybrid System". No warning at all, this was no bueno! At the time I was living in Bountiful, so I made the mistake of having my Prius towed to Bountiful Toyota. After about a week of diagnosis I was told I have two options for my car: Option A.) They could fix a part within the hybrid system which would cost about $2,300 plus labor (and labor would be a lot as they have to fix a part within a part). Option B.) Replace the whole part at $3,500 but labor would be less, as they would just be swapping parts. Either option would leave me paying over $3,000 for a car that is currently worth around $8,000. Needless to say (yet I still say it) I did not like these options! So I had the Prius towed to my regular ol' mechanic, salt of the earth type of place in Salt Lake called Red Rock Auto (these guys are amazing). Mike at Red Rock called The very next day and said that I need to contact toyota about a recall (even though I asked them to check all recalls when I brought it to Bountiful Toyota), as that's most likely the cause. After about a 5 minute google search I found info on the recalls, and contacted the Toyota Recall Division. The lovely lady I spoke with took my vin and all my info, and told me there is an extended parts warranty on the Intelligent Power Module, which is most likely causing the issue. She put me in touch with Mark Miller Toyota in Salt Lake, as I was close to there, and did not want to return to Bountiful Toyota. After a quick chat with the fine folks at Mark Miller Toyota I was told that my car 100% qualified for the part replacement, and I setup a time for me to have the car towed for a third time, but this time to the much more capable Toyota experts. After my conversation with Mark Miller Toyota (I didn't actually talk to Mark himself, but I feel like he was there in spirit) I then called my liaison Andrew at Bountiful Toyota, to explain the newfound warranty part discovery. After I told Andrew the situation, he said he would talk with the service tech and call me back. A day later he phones me to say that the service tech new about the warrantied part, but didn't want to perform the switch as my car has over 150,000 miles. However, they were still okay with charging me over $3,000 for it. He asked if I wanted to tow it back to Bountiful and they would (begrudgingly) fix it as a warranty replacement, and I politely declined. I had paid $70 to have it "diagnosed" at Bountiful Toyota, and paid $65 to tow it to and $65 to tow it from there, so I was already into Bountiful Toyota $200 with absolutely no results, and no refunds, just a migraine. After about a week at Mark Miller Toyota my car is back on the road and drives like new without costing a dollar for the issue. I did splurge on an oil change, cabin air filter, and new wipers for a grand total of $197, which far beats what the fellas at Bountiful Toyota tried to weasel from me. I much prefer giving them my hard earned money after this ordeal. If you have a Toyota issue do yourself a massive favor and take it to Mark Miller Toyota in Salt Lake. They get the 5 star review and Bountiful Toyota gets 1 star. read more

Do not, under any circumstances, come to this dealership. I bought my RAV4 back in February and the sales side of things wasn't great, but not terrible. What is terrible is the service side of things. I took my car in a little while back to get the 5,000 mile check done. They came to me with a list of things wrong, one of which was that the alignment was off and that it was going to cost close to $200 to fix. This being a new car, I decided not to get it fixed. I hadn't noticed the alignment being an issue while driving. Flash forward 5,000 more miles I come in to get my 10,000 mile check done. First, nobody came and got me when my car was done. I finally had to go ask about my car and it was parked outside... who knows how much extra time I spent waiting for my car after it was actually done. The guy who worked on my car had left for the day, so who knows. What is more interesting is that nobody ever came to speak with me about the alignment being off. So my alignment can be off at 5,000 miles, but it magically fixes itself by the time I get to my 10,000 mile check? They were definitely trying to scam me on my first visit. They are unprofessional, forgetful, and downright deceitful. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I brought in my Prius hybrid for a check engine light inspection. We got a P0A80 code with our own scanner. When I spoke to the service person , they told me I would get more detailed information and codes about my hybrid battery health , not just the P0A80 code that i got myself. I paid $177 for inspection and got only the P0A80 code and nothing more. I was told my battery and blower needed replacement at over $4000. The diagnostic fee was $150 and $15 for miscellaneous charges. I was told that was shop supplies and fluid changes. There were no supplies or fluids used. But they did inspect my floor mats and removed them, did not ask for " floor mat inspection". I paid $177 for the diagnosis code of P0A80 that i already had. I picked up my car , the next day I called to see if I could put that $177 fee toward some service with them and the answer was NO, you already picked up your car so that $177 is lost Those dealers are thieves! Engages in deceptive business practices. 2004 Toyota Sequoia. 1. Sold me a vehicle that has a safety issue and yet claimed that passed their 150 point inspection. The vehicle has a fuel gauge and computer problem that would make the vehicle stall every 30 min while on the highway. 2. Lied about a key issue the vehicle had. The car was provided with one key (no fobs)that was stripped and could be taken out of the ignition after it was started. Was told that I could order new keys with no problem and most it would cost $200. After i took it to a more local Toyota I was told the key is a valet key and can not rekey or program fobs without a master. the keying computer would need to be replaced. Total cost $1000. When this issue was brought up to the sales manager he was rude and basically told me too bad you bought it as is. 3. Worst ever. Totally dishonest and disorganized. I bought a 2018 4 runner online before I moved here from CA. Internet Price $38k. Called the rep and reserved it offered to wire the cash. Rep calls back and says Sorry, the car is $50k that doesn't include dealer added parts (that were listed in the $38k internet price) I file a complaint with Toyota corporate and State of Ut MVED for deceptive advertising. Dealer GM calls me and offers me a fair deal on another 4 Runner. I send in paperwork and deposit. In the middle of my move to Ut. The GM calls and says "Sorry the truck you bought got sold" and offers me a 3rd! 4 runner. I go to pick it up and everyone was fairly nice . 2 weeks later I get a call from Finance manager that they had listed the VIN for the second 4 runner on my paperwork's and I needed to come in (80 mile round trip)to correct their issue.. 2 months later I get a drop on my FICO because they ran my credit 5x in 2 days. I try to address it with some sales guy named Cam Benee and he is completely rude and arrogant. I ask to speak with his boss and he says he has no boss. So, another complaint to Toyota Corporate and the State. There are some nice people that work there but their practices are deceptive and they are extremely disorganized. I am a lifetime Toyota customer but wish I had never had the misfortune of dealing with Bountiful Toyota. I had been a Customer of Performance Toyota of Bountiful for many years. I bought my Truck (Brand New) from them in 2017 and have taken it back for Regular Servicing since that time. The last two times I took my Truck in I was told by the Service Writer that my Truck was in need of a Wheel Alignment. After I was advised of the need the first time around, I took it into a reputable Tire Shop and asked for them to check my Alignment. I was advised by the Mechanic that my Truck was in near perfect alignment. The next time I took my Truck into Performance Toyota they gave me the same line about needing a Wheel Alignment. I declined the solicitation for their Service Department to fix the issue based on my previous experience. A few days later talked with a Management Person who assured me that if indeed my Truck was not out of Alignment, as the Service Writer had reported and recommended for servicing, I would not be charged for that service. I was very skeptical with that report. I attempted to contact the Manager of the entire Dealership to discuss this issue and express my concerns. At the time of this review, I have not heard back from that Dealership Manager. I suppose maybe management is not interested? I am now very wary and do not intend to return to this Business based on my experience. read more

They found it up in Idaho Falls and brought it to Bountiful where I put a deposit on it over the phone. If you know what you want, they'll find it for you at a reasonable rate. Not to mention they treated my SR5 Off-Road Tundra fairly as a trade in. Dealers in California are ruthless and that's why I keep coming back here to buy from these guys. I see some negative reviews on here, but my experience was nothing but positive. I worked with Brian and he was extremely helpful and friendly. While my car was there he was texting me and it was more like talking to a friend that is working on your car than it was a mechanic. He was even giving me updates on his day off. He was honest and upfront. The customer service was phenomenal. Also of note, I had taken my car to two other mechanics to diagnose a misfire at high speed before taking it here. I had also done plenty of my own work and still couldn't find the problem. They were able to fix the problem quickly and I could have saved myself months if I had just brought it here in the first place. I will say they are more expensive than other mechanics for repairs, but in the long run I would have saved myself money bringing it here. read more

I would not not take home another Toyota from these guys if they were giving them away. Bold statement I know, but stick with me and I'll share a few experiences as to why I feel that way so you can make the wise decision to avoid these guys altogether. The buying experience was absolutely abysmal from the very beginning. We opted to install a blu-ray player and the sales guy assured us it would be installed as part of the screen on the ceiling (obviously he had no idea how they were going to install it). When we went to pick up the car, the blu-ray player was installed in the middle console making it now useless for any storage whatsoever, when I complained about it, they gave us some firework vouchers and shooed us out the door. I complained again at one of our service visits and when my car was done they just left the detached blu-ray player with wires sticking out on the floor of my car. Mind you I paid 2k to have this installed and now I have neither the money nor the blu-ray player. I've tried repeatedly to get this addressed and they keep telling me there's nothing they can do, so I guess they just keep my money now. We also had a remote start option installed in the car. It also has the ability to remote lock and open the car. Well within a month the feature had already locked us out of the car with no way to get inside and nobody to reach out to for support. Spent $100 for the locksmith to break into my car, we no longer use this feature for obvious reasons even though it cost nearly a grand to have installed. My wife brought the car in for our very first service visit with our 8 month old baby. She brought enough milk to last a little over an hour. The service visit took 3.5 hours and no one came out to check on her or give an update until the 3 hour mark even though she was pacing with a hysterically crying baby for 2 hours. They let her know the delay was due to the car wash, then proceeded to take another 30 minutes to return her vehicle. I could honestly go on but I think that's enough examples to paint the picture of what's going on at this dealership. Toyotas are great cars, but I would suggest you avoid this dealership like the plague, there are plenty of other dealerships out there. I've brought these issues up in the past numerous times only to be turned away and told there's nothing they can do. I feel robbed, and just hope that others can avoid a similar experience. I won't be coming back here because I've had multiple negative experiences. I had a problem with my car that I went to get fixed and upon receiving my car back, I had more related issues. They refused to acknowledge that they might have caused the additional problems when working on it earlier and insisted that I pay them to check it out. When it literally happened right after they were messing with it. It would be one thing if they were nice about the situation, but they were incredibly rude! A huge headache to deal with. And to make matters worse, THEY LOST MY KEY!!! Seriously, that is not ok. I couldn't believe they didn't have better organization. They kept bringing me out the wrong one (almost gave me someone else's keys??) and I waited for a very very long time while they dug through offices. Eventually they found it in some random guys office away from where they hang keys. I'm glad they found it, but they definitely need a better system. If your car needs very basic work, you'll probably be fine coming here. Just pray that nothing goes wrong because if it's anything like my experiences, it won't be pretty. read more

Warning they will put your vehicle and your safety in peril and blame it on someone else refusing to take responsibility. This is unbelievable and I will never ever return to this Toyota Bountiful and have asked them to never contact me again. This is mostly due to their management and not necessarily the rep I was working with. Three weeks ago I took my truck in for a simple oil change and it came with a free tire rotation even though I have all my work done at Burt Brothers. First of all it took them an hour for the shuttle to show up and take me to an appointment in by then I was so late the appointment had to be canceled and I decided to walk back to the dealership because I knew the shuttle wouldn't be picking me up again anytime soon. I waited another hour JUST TO CHECK OUT AND PAY! in total it was 2h25m for an oil change and tire rotation. When I had returned back they told me that my left side couldn't be rotated because the previous business who had last touched my tires bent the bolt. "who last did your rotation? Because they had bent one of the rods on the lug nuts". I said that was in May. Anyway they could not get it off so they told me I needed to go there to have them fix it In the mile and a half drive home my vehicle was pulling right and I could hear something inside coming from the front left tire. The next day I just dropped it off to them and said "you have the entire day to look at this please figure out what that noise is and why my vehicle is pulling to the right". It hasn't done this since May when burt brothers touched my wheels last. They called me back and told me that the bent lug nut had snapped off and was rolling around in the And that's what the noise was! I asked them is it still safe to drive if there are only four lug nuts holding the tire on and they completely dismissed it that it was fine, but again that I should take it to who I normally have rotate my tires, Burt brothers, and have them fix the problem and pay for the change. Literally the next time I drove my truck about 1 mile later I start hearing the same noise from the front left tire but it is louder and grinding more even more. I returned home and take out my jack and lift up the truck and the front left tire completely wobbles around. I took the cap off and two more lug nuts had snapped off falling to the ground with the bolt rod inside them and there are only two bolts holding the wheel on and both of them are still loose! I called back Toyota bountiful furious and said you guys didn't even tighten any of the Lug nuts on and now two more have snapped off and that may be why the first one snapped off and now there are only two left and they are still loose. The service manager said yes this is our fault we will take total responsibility for it. But the next day he calls me back before they were coming to bring the tow truck and said his manager told him that it still not their fault all of this is Burt brothers fault because they put on the bolt wrong and stripped it out. I told him none of the bolts are stripped. They're just loose. He was stunned. So he talks to his manager again and calls me back saying well they're lose because that's normal. We put them on as best we could because Burt brothers used the wrong bolt pattern and they'll eventually come loose anyway. "THEY'LL EVENTUALLY COME LOOSE ANYWAY?!?... AND YOU LET ME DRIVE IT?!?!" Well you were supposed to take it to burt brothers immediately. Then he tells me what I should say to Burt brothers because it's all their fault and Toyota bountiful only inherited this mess and to make an already long story short at the end I call burt brothers they rolled her eyes laugh and said there's nothing wrong with the bolt pattern and they're not stripped. we're not going to say anything bad about them but we fix their problems all the time and they don't want to take responsibility for anything bring it down here and we will take care of everything because we just want to take care of you and make sure you were safe and that you can drive your truck. So I had it towed to Burt Brothers and they replaced all of the lug nuts and bolts on all four tires because they wanted to wipe out any kind of work or mistakes Toyota Bountiful did. Then he asks me "did they do anything with your brakes and rotors?!" Yes I said. They checked them and said they may need to be replaced soon. He tells me the bolts on the caliper are all stripped and and ruined so they bought me a caliper and put that in at no charge too to make sure I'm all set. They also said it's absolutely asinine to have me drive away without that fixed and to leave bolts not right saying "well that's the best we could do but it's normal for the bolts to come loose again". Toyota you had numerous chances to make this right and own it. Don't try to fix things now. Don't try to make things right. I will never return and for safety of your other customers and people here I hope they never do either. read more

Do not ever do business with Toyota Bountiful. My wife and I learned this the hard way this year. We have a hybrid which warned us of the hybrid system failing. We took it in to have it looked at and while wasting two weeks with them saying that they didn't have the tool to diagnose the problem. They came back with the engine torn apart without my consent and the mechanic saying that the transmission needed to be replaced. I took it to another mechanic to get another opinion and while it was being towed the mechanic was getting upset and unprofessional. We took the vehicle to Coles and after he put the engine back together the vehicle started up with no problems. Unfortunately when Toyota Bountiful tore the engine apart they emptied the transmission fluid and while driving it without transmission fluid it blew the transmission. We have been very happy with Coles after replacing the transmission. It is very hard to find a mechanic you can trust and Coles will now be our go to mechanic. Toyota Bountiful are crooks and I will never do business with them or their affiliates. Update: Kelly, Your assumptions are unfounded. We in fact had the vehicle towed due to the consequences of your tech tearing apart the engine without our permission and our fluids where checked during an oil change just a week before we had the car looked at. After our mechanic put the engine back together the vehicle started without any problems. The transmission failed after I was taking my kids down too Alpine to visit their cousins. Be grateful that I am not taking action and suing for the damages that you and your establishment created. This was an expensive lesson learned and I will make sure by social media, word of mouth and the BBB that no one else will experience the same type of hell that your establishment created. read more

They quoted us a price for doing a diagnostic test (even though previous service was done at another Toyota location they say that their computers don't connect to each other and therefore if they are unable to check the quality of service from another Toyota location), they told us it was $57 for the diagnostic but when I came to pick up the car they had a $5.89 miscellaneous charge for rags and gloves and any other materials that might be used in the service of the vehicle. He told me none of those miscellaneous items were used because it was simply plugging their computer into the car computer to run a diagnostic but it's just a miscellaneous charge they charge everybody. He was unwilling to remove that miscellaneous charge even though there was no miscellaneous items used. I let him know I'd be writing a review and he said go ahead. read more

The sales person Emily was amazing but when it came time to go to the finance manager, the experience became so distasteful that I am sorry I gave Toyota Bountiful my money. We spent an hour in the office where he openly disparaged his sales colleagues to us for an unknown reason by calling them lazy and incompetent. He took a personal call in the middle of the consultation (are we not worthy of your full attention). He said a bunch of scary and questionable things like replacing a windshield costs $1200 (well not if you have insurance it doesn't). My wife walked away feeling completely belittled as a woman. I want to give them zero stars. The worst dealership in all of Utah. They are a scam and have terrible customer service. Worked with three stooges Bobby, Ivan and Rodney. I don't know if it was because I was a female and Polynesian but apparently my CASH was not good enough for the three gentlemen that I had to spend my Tuesday afternoon with. Originally I was told by Bobby that the car I was looking for was no longer going to be sold on their lot. Interesting right? Online said different. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt checked in with them and they let me test drive the car two days later. The selling price of the car ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE was apparently a system error and tried to sell me the car $5000 MORE than advertised. As we negotiated pricing the car started to get more and more expensive. How? Why? They talked in circles. Would not give me a straight answer on anything. Apparently they were "being generous with the discounts because it was the end of the month". Price negotiation started at $39,989 (original was $36k but they had taken a black marker and blacked out the price and wrote in new $39k price) then apparently they were taking $2,300 off that price. Then finally the offer was $41,867 WITHOUT taxes and fees. I go home and the same car I requested with the same EXACT vin was now being sold for MY asking price $35,095 online as a special one day only offer. Three hours later I see this price on their website. Was I supposed to be show up and be a middle age WHITE MALE to do business? Would my CASH have been accepted then?! Then Rodney has the entire NERVE to text me after the car is sold and says "you should have taken the deal, we were being generous and giving you a good deal" Thank you Hot Rod how professional of you. When I asked for proof that the car was what they said it was, the sales manager immediately began wheeling and dealing me for their "mistake." Throwing in all sorts of "upgrades" as well as a high pressure sales pitch. Never coming down on their base price to match the actual car's value until I literally walked out of the dealership. That was on Saturday and two days later, it is still listed as the incorrect vehicle on their website. They know about the mistake and it is still there. This tells me this is intentional. Went in to test drive a couple cars about two months ago. I've been looking here and there and was interested in getting a Toyota. The salesman was nice and not pushy. However, I got in one used car and it reeked of dog. I liked it, besides the dog funk, so I asked what they could do for me. They gave me a quote but told me they could not odor bomb it if I wasn't going to buy it. And if they did odor bomb it after I purchased it, we could discuss if it didn't take. How do you not take in a used car and notice it smells disgusting and not detail or odor bomb it before putting it on the lot? I said I needed time to think so they brought out the manager who tried to get me to look at other cars. They did not have anything else I was interested in (mileage or price) so I walked. I returned to look at another car a couple weeks later. I got in to test drive and the salesman climbed in the backseat and took off his mask (sigh, ugh). And then he decided to talk politics during the drive. This car was not detailed either and the cupholders were gross. I said I need time to think about it, and again, out walks a manager. He was even pushier than the last. I told him I needed to think about it and the response I got was "do you need 5 minutes, 15 minutes, an hour?". And to top it off, I went to look at cars with the other half, fully stating when we got there that I was the one purchasing and they spent half the time directing questions and conversation at him. So I walked. Not impressed and disgusted that they cannot even detail their used cars. And despite signs on the door, half the customers and salespeople were not wearing mask so that should have been a warning when I walked in the door. read more

The last time I was in I asked about the open recall on my 23 Tundra. I was told they had to order a part to complete the recall and that they would call me to schedule an appointment when the part comes in. A week later with no call I decided to call the parts department and check on the status of the part myself, they informed me that they had had it and had been holding onto it for a few days, yet nobody had called me to inform me. At that point they transferred me to the service department where I requested an appointment to complete the recall now that I, on my own, have discovered that the part had arrived in my name and for my vehicle. At this point in time I had about a week before leaving town for work for 3 weeks, and during that week between calling and leaving town, they had no availability to complete the recall. I told the person on the phone no problem I'll call back in 2 weeks to schedule something for when I get back in town. 2 weeks later I call first the parts department and they confirm for me that they both have the part AND that the part is still reserved in my name and for my vehicle, I am transferred to the service department and they ask if I myself confirmed for them if the part is at the dealership, I tell them yes and that I spoke to the parts department moments before who confirmed. Appointment scheduled, I receive an email the next day asking me to confirm it which I do. The day of the appointment comes. I make the 40 minute drive there and arrive 10 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment, I am told upon checking in that it will take about 2 hours, after an hour I walk around and find my truck parked in the parking lot and not inside the garage where they had me leave it, about 30 minutes later I am told they only have 2 people working that day who can accomplish the recall and that my 2 hour appointment has now turned into a 4 hour appointment. What's the point of scheduling an appointment if your going to do something like this? This on its own is absolutely ridiculous. Another 30 minutes pass, at this point I have been here for about 2 hours, and I am told that somehow they don't have the part, so they won't be doing anything that day, I am given my key and told the truck is out front and I am given an I don't care attitude. I explain that this is all wrong and explain everything leading up to that point, and I once again receive an I don't care attitude. Unfortunately it gets worse from here. I ask to speak to a manager and learn that now the part required is on back order and there is no ETA whatsoever and it will take potentially over a month to receive the part after I should already have the recall accomplished at this point. The manager also tells me that apparently what happened was after 6 weeks all parts get sent back IF at that point there is no appointment scheduled. Which doesn't make sense as I was finally able to schedule an appointment after about 4 weeks AND at this point it has been just about 5 weeks, but I had the appointment scheduled for over 2 weeks and there is absolutely no excuse for the part to not be available that day as on top of all this it was reserved in my name for my vehicle. The manager then tells me that the evening prior, after everyone had left coincidentally, that an email was sent out saying that the following parts were sent back to the supplier and followed up by saying to cancel the according appointments and apparently my appointment and part was on said list. I was never shown this and don't believe this at all, seconds prior I was told if an appointment was scheduled it wouldn't get sent back but seconds later now that's not the case? And conveniently this email was sent out the night before my appointment and that's why no one informed me? And to top it off at this point it's noon, meaning it's 5 hours into their work day and 2 hours into my appointment and they're just now figuring this out? None of this adds up and I was expected to just accept their train wreck of failures over the past 4-5 weeks and drive 40 minutes back home with the fire hazard recall still not accomplished and no ETA on when it would be accomplished. I was told when the part comes (god knows when now) they'll pick the truck up for me and return it with a full tank of gas after accomplishing the recall, although I appreciate the gesture, I live on Base and because of that, this minimal compensation creates headaches and is probably more work than it's worth over just driving back myself. I don't want to, but at this point I wonder if I should consider going to Toyota in Riverdale instead, I have bought 2 new vehicles from bountiful in a 6 month period and have had them serviced there since as I believe they are the better dealership compared to Toyota riverdale, but after this train wreck I wonder if I may have been wrong. read more

My girlfriend was in dire need to get out of her Honda Civic lease. We got in contact with Justin and Jace and they were amazing to work with. They got us a more than fair value for her car and we were able to get a great deal on a new Tacoma. The process and the deal was so easy that my older brother flew in from Nebraska to buy one too, drove it home 10 hours just so he didn't have to put up with the typical dealer nonsense. He worked with Jeff and has just as easy of an experience, they even picked him up in his new truck from the airport!! Between both deals we worked with so many people and we got the same easy and transparent experience with all of them. The finance manager tried to hand me a contract to sign that did not match the numbers we verbally agreed upon. Watch out!

I test drove a mini-van we'd found online with Lorenzo, who was easy going. My husband test drove with Tyler later that day. My husband liked the van, and wanted to take it to a trusted mechanic for inspection. Tyler and Ivan (the manager) said they could offer him $400 off the sale price if he purchased that day and didn't wait until the next day after taking it in to our mechanic (the soonest appointment). My husband said no, because an independent inspection was important to us. The next day, our mechanic verified it was mechanically sound. We told Tyler we wanted to buy it and he suggested we write a check for most of the final price, citing the price we agreed on, and then suggested we bring a credit/debit card to pay off the rest, when we "figure out the details." We went to the dealership, and we asked about the dealership's promise to detail the car and for a listing of fees to negotiate. Ivan printed out the car's sales price, fees, and the final cost. His form's starting price was $23,848 (before taxes and fees), when the starting price on the website we had been discussing was $23,484. We suggested that perhaps he had typed it wrong, but he said the $364 difference was a "one day only" discount (despite the websites price) "to earn our business" the day before, but since we had taken the van to our mechanic, we had forfeited that "discount". He then implied that the price on the website was raised since we looked at it last. He asked if we had brought the provided paperwork from the day before. We did not have it, so he showed us "our paperwork", the form being dated 4/10, the day BEFORE we had test driven the van or met with anyone. We concluded they were trying to squeeze extra money out of us, so we left. Tyler, off that day, called us. He quoted the original $23,484 and not Ivan's number. He said he could talk Ivan down to the original number, and could offer us $500 more if we financed, implying an early payoff penalty. We determined the discount to not be worth the interest by financing. Once home, I verified the website price had not changed. Ivan lied about the price. Ivan later texted my husband, also citing that we could get the $500 financing discount. We told him no, too. Another manager texted us, apologizing for "whatever happened," and said he was having Tyler and Ivan talk to try and figure something out. Two days later, Tyler texted my husband a new offer. The offer was closer to our goal price we were trying to negotiate to, so we had them agree that they bring the van and paperwork to us (saving us an hour round trip). He wanted us to sign that day, but since they still had not detailed the van, we asked to sign after the detailing was done. Tyler said it would be detailed the next day, Saturday, around noon, and then he'd bring the van and paperwork to us, but said it still could be sold before then (this was around 6:30pm). My husband texted Tyler on Saturday around 12:40pm, asking to be texted before they came. Tyler called him around 1pm, saying the car had been sold to someone else soon after our contact the day prior despite our arrangement. So, poor professionalism by: 1) Pressuring my husband to purchase without taking it to a trusted mechanic. 2) Pressuring my husband to write a check before all details were arranged. 3) Changing the sale price at the last minute to be higher to try gouge us. 4) Using false documentation to "prove" the sale price 5) Stressing they were "trying to earn our business" one day, while trying to gouge us the next day. 6) Having multiple contacts with the same offer we'd already refused. 7) Vaguely apologizing, implying that WE were wrong for having some sort of misunderstanding. 8) Not having detailed the car before negotiating a sale and then acting like we were wrong for wanting the detailing before signing any paperwork or giving money. 9) Selling to another customer after negotiating a sale with us. 10) Not contacting us promptly when the van had been sold. For every oil change I keep coming back, I recently purchased 4 tires and the prices were better than the local tire places and still had the comparable warranty. I'm a return customer for the 3rd time and I decided that I wanted to trade in my car and I had such a horrible experience this time around. Anthony was my salesman and he was able to get me into a 2019 Ford Edge. I worked with Hunter in finance and they gave me the impression that I was approved for the car. I signed a bunch of paperwork, took everything out of my car that I traded in into my new one and let me drive off the lot. Maybe 2 days later Hunter needed 2 of my most recent pay stubs and I sent those. I have been driving my "new car" around for a month and didn't hear anything back from the dealers since that day. I had the impression that everything was set and stone. I checked to see if my payoff had gone through but still seen that it was on my credit. At that point I decided to reach out to Anthony to see if he could look into it for me as well as who I needed to make my payments to since no one reached out to me nor did I receive anything in the mail and whatnot. The day I texted him he stated that it was his day off and he would reach out to me the following day. He never followed through. Another day went by and I get a text from Ivan, who I believe is the finance manager stating that there was a problem with the approval on the ford and asked me if I could come into the dealership. I was at work when I got the message and wasn't able to text back. I went after work and asked for him but he wasn't even there. He had left already. Which I wasn't too upset about because I didn't let him know that I could go in. There were some other people who tried to look into it for me but they had no idea what was going on. They called Ivan as I was there to get more info and they asked if I could come the the following day. I had no problem with that and told them that I could come around the same time which was around 7:00-7:30 pm. I get there again yesterday after work and ask for Ivan, and whomever greeted me told me that he was not there. At this point I was a little irritated because he wasn't there and I told them that I would be. Hunter was there today and he had no idea what was going on and said that he wasn't told anything. Hunter was trying to figure things out as I sat in the lobby for about 15-20 minutes and no one had said anything to me at that point. As I'm sitting there waiting to figure out what was going on someone asked for the keys because they needed to get some info from the Ford that I was driving around for a month. The guy who asked for my keys never came back. Hunter came around again and said he was still figuring things out. I was there way longer than I expected. I was getting frustrated because no one was saying anything to me. Finally , after patiently waiting for about 30-40 minutes another guy came who I believe was some sort of manager let me know what the issue was. I was irritated at this point because why let me drive off with the car If I wasn't fully approved? I would have rather kept my car that I was already in and wait to see if I was approved or not before taking the car. That just doesn't make sense to me. I was told that I would be given my Corolla back. But anyways he told me that they were going to find my car and pull it up to the front. So I sat there for another maybe 15-20 minutes waiting for them to get my keys and my car. This was such a horrible experience you guys need to do Better with communication. No email, no text, no phone call to let me know that I was not approved. If I didn't reach out to Anthony myself would you guys have even reached out to me? This was just some shady stuff. And to top it all off I was given my car back with no plates that I drove all the way home in. I didn't realize that until I had made it home which is in Midvale. So from bountiful to Midvale I drove with no plates. Like seriously?! Now I have to spend my morning tomorrow at the DMV to get duplicate plates! I am beyond upset, frustrated and angry with this whole situation. read more

My husband and I put a $1000 deposit down with them in May 2023 for a new Prius. We knew inventory was limited and that because we were looking for a specific color we would have to wait. During the 6-7 months we were waiting the only time I heard from them was when I reached out to them. 3 weeks ago I went in and met with a sales manager to discuss the lack of communication and then never heard from him until I followed up 2 weeks later. 2 weeks ago in frustration I reached out to a different Toyota dealership. Within 2 days they were able to trade for an allocation of exactly the car I wanted so we put a deposit down with them and should be receiving the car we want in January. Reached back out to Bountiful Toyota to get reimbursed the $1000 I put down with them since they could not give me what we want and we are now working with a different Toyota dealership. Surprise, surprise we are going on 5 days of not hearing back from them even though I've been told I can have my money back and they have my credit card info to refund my card. I've been texting back and forth with the sales manager to get my money back and keep being told it will be taken care of it, but it hasn't been yet. I bought a used car two weeks ago, 14 days exactly, and it already has issues. The AC isn't working, which I suspect is the coolant or radiator fan. I have left messages about this twice, as no one was available to receive my call, and I haven't heard anything. I don't know what my warranty entails because no one is talking to me. The sales associate who helped me, Leontra, was awesome and very helpful. The dealership itself has been more than frustrating. This repair is costly. I am dissatisfied with the poor quality of customer service I've received thus far. read more

Finance team is amazing! I purchased my vehicle from them last year. The finance team worked hard to get me the vehicle I wanted, didn't even try to get me to get anything other then what I wanted. Being a first time buyer(no co-signer) it was hard for them to do, because of the vehicle I wanted. In regards to sales men, my sales man left during finishing up paperwork, for another sale. Nonetheless I think this place deserves five stars Service team is amazing. Ethan got me in( I was a little early) for an oil change, and I was out the door in 40 minutes. While they were doing that they fixed my rock chip on my windshield. The waiting area has a drink and coffee machine as well as snacks that include popcorn and candy. The chairs have outlet plugs just in case you need to charge a device while you wait. If you purchase a vehicle with them you get your first and third oil change for FREE!! Also they send you a video of them doing maintenance on your car while you are waiting! I definitely will be servicing and buying possible new vehicles with them in the future! read more

Overall a pleasant car buying experience with some grievances about car keys and floor mats. My grandparents have purchased their last three 4Runners from Toyota Bountiful and have been happy with the dealership. The grandparents got me in contact with Craig Vierig the dealer who sold them their 4Runner a couple of months ago. Craig was fantastic! I emailed Craig with a list of features I was looking for and the price range I was dealing with. Although Craig focuses on selling new models, he went out of his way to find me the used car I was looking for. I was able to purchase a 2008 Highlander that was in very good condition for the age of the vehicle and the miles driven on it. Negotiations on price were courteous, and more importantly, FAIR. I walked out of the dealership with a great deal on a quality used SUV just in time for winter. The car stayed at the dealership for a couple of days while they finished some very minor cosmetic repairs and had the vehicle professionally detailed inside and out before pick-up. My only complaints came when I went to pick up the vehicle. After test driving the Highlander with floor mats inside, the vehicle suddenly had NO floor mats and that was something I was going to have to pay for out of pocket. Somewhat annoying, but hey it's just floor mats. Then, when picking up the car I noticed there was only one set of keys for the vehicle. I asked if there was a second set of keys and they dealership claimed that the person who traded in the vehicle only dropped off one set of keys. This seems contradictory since the dealer had a laminated card on the one pair of keys that said "set one of two." I believe the dealership misplaced the second set of keys and is now passing on the cost of creating another set of keys to me. It will likely cost me somewhere between $250-$300 to have another set of keys with a key fob that's tuned to the correct frequency for my car. You would think that the dealership would offer to do this for free or at least at a discounted rate since I just purchased a vehicle from them, but no such luck. If you end up purchasing a vehicle from this dealership make sure that you get details like keys and floor mats guaranteed before signing any paperwork. read more
