Tint and speakers installed very well. Cameras also installed very well except the wiring to the "rear" dash cam hangs out of my ceiling fabric after a couple days. New head unit was not connected to my steering column making changing the volume difficult since the head unit doesn't have a volume knob. (It's touch sensitive). Other than that the process was incredibly easy, I had a lot of work done and they finished it same day. Might go back and get a sub installed eventually and see if they can connect the unit to the steering column. read more

Mercedes 2013. Front left headlight not working. HID lights were installed by Performance Pit about 3 years back. Called and was told that the repairs could be from $100 to $160. Did sign consent to have the inspection done... The older man whom I was told was the owner came back talking out loud about the charges being $250 to replace ballast and lightbulb. I asked why so much (I reminded him of charging me about the same to install both 3 years back). Arrogantly he walked away saying that prices do go up every time (?). No other explanations. I was given an invoice that only shows the price paid... No cost for labor (15 m), no cost for parts (see pics) I'm not a troublemaker. I did pay the proposed amount... But I was not treated with the courtesy and dignity expected. read more

I brought my BMW in for a radio installation and backup camera, and what I got in return was nothing short of a disaster. The service was completely unprofessional -- the installer actually asked me to show them how to install the radio in my own car. The job they did was sloppy and careless. My previously flawless dashboard was returned to me scratched and scuffed. The center console knob that once worked perfectly now doesn't function as it should. The backup camera they claimed to install doesn't even work. To top it off, instead of integrating the USB plugs into the glovebox where they belong, they left them sticking awkwardly out of the side of the floorboard like an afterthought. This was supposed to be a professional installation, but the results look like a rushed DIY project gone wrong. I'm beyond disappointed and now stuck having to pay someone else to fix their mess. If you care about your vehicle, avoid this shop at all costs. You can literally see the aftermath of the dash scratches and remains of the coating they scratched off. Also they left out screws and tried to put screws in where they aren't even supposed to go. They used a box cutter to slice my trunk liner instead of properly removing it and didn't even run the wire to the camera through the right areas... The owner (i presume) then extorted me saying i can pay 200$ more for them to do the job correctly or pay the full price to get my keys back and to get off his property after damaging my vehicle and not completing the job properly. read more

Originally, I took my car to get the front two windows tinted. However, I found out they were lightly tinted but didn't keep the heat out. Came across this place based on good online reviews and was looking high and low in the Tampa area to get my tail lights tinted on my new car to blend in with the rest of the car. They asked me to come in to give me an accurate estimate and once I did their pricing was very reasonable. They had availability to do it when I came in for my estimate, but based on my prior commitments I had to make an appointment for another day. I've had this location tint windows on 2 of my cars. They sell all types of after market vehicle add on's such as stereos, navigation units, speakers, lights, grill guards, toneau covers, truck bed liners, and much more. They have a small showroom and waiting room inside, or you can sit on the deck outside. Their location is on a busy main road, but can be hard to see from the road, so watch for the banners and signs or you'll drive past it. They accept appointments or walk-in's and will give you a great price and fast service. It's very hard to find a place that does the 3 points of the pyramid, Fast, Low Cost, and Quality, normally you have to choose 2 of the 3, but at Performance Pit Shop you get all 3! They had my car's windows tinted and me out the door in under 1 hour as a walk in, with no appt, wow! Other places I called had a 1-2 week wait to even get me in the door. Not here, just show up and they will get you done fast, very very fast! Jesus is the main man you talk to here, he is a well organized guy answering calls and dealing with customers all at the same time, very efficiently and professionally. He knows his stuff and will go into as much detail as you want, and he will also work within the budget you give him. His crew of techs also have a professional attitude and you can tell they enjoy the line of work they are in, and they are good at what they do.
