Additionally, I asked to see the before pictures and video that was mentioned on the phone, but was told there wasn't any. Any time a car goes in for service, a detailed report is completed by the technician, but I was told they do not do this. That's a bit concerning to me. When my mom moved down earlier this year with an older car we also had her take her vehicle to Clarke's Automotive, which is now mostly run by Bob's son Matt. After a few months being here, she needed some repairs due to normal maintenance as well as repairs to the underside of the vehicle. For a month and a half, the car was back and forth to Clarke's Automotive. It seemed for awhile that we may have been being taken advantage of with the amount of repairs, their cost and the continuious back and forth to the shop. Bob Clarke stepped in, explained what was going on with the vehicle and we came to the mutual conclusion that it was time to move on from that car. He then took the time to go over with us what type of car we should be looking for, the process in this new day and age of car shopping, etc. If Bob had not stopped in, we feel we may have still been putting money in a car that was not worth the cost to repair and would have been taken advantage of.
