Had to have my car towed after business hours last night .( a few days before Thanksgiving). No available appointments until next week . Called them at 8am and said can you see if it's just my battery? By 1030am got a call back and was told it was just my battery and it was even under warranty and I can pick it up anytime . Needed the windshield washer fluid pump replaced. Appointment was at 9:00 a.m. At 4:15, they called and they would have to get the part, keep the car until the next day. They also found moisture in the brake line (didn't ask for them to check). We couldn't leave the car. When we got there, the part was there. We took the car anyway. Because they had the part, we rescheduled the service. I dropped it off for an 8:00 appointment. Car was ready at 1:45. When looking at the invoice, the only thing done was the brake bleed and flush. Brakes were not an issue in the first place, but we had them done out of an abundance of caution. They said the part was on a national back order with no timeline of availability, after them saying the part was there. They never communicated this to me until I questioned the invoice. I scheduled to have the part replaced with Honda (just a couple days later). I had Honda check the brake fluid to see if it looked new. The brake fluid is very dark brown (they sent me a picture). There is no way the brakes were bled and flushed. It would seem I spent $320 on an oil change. read more

Cannot say enough great things about Hi Tech Automotive. My Toyota Tundra had to be towed in and could not start. About an hour after the car was delivered to Hi Tech from my towing company they had already diagnosed and fixed the problem (had a bad battery cable). I just did a battery replacement about a month ago and thought had a bad starter. They did a great job at a fraction of the price of what I thought was going to be an expensive repair. I just have a feeling if I went to the dealer for a fix they would have replaced a part that did not need replacing. Would highly recommend this mechanic. read more

I scheduled an appointment back in December for an appointment on January 4th 7am based upon the 5 out of 5 stars they had in Yelp. I got there and they were friendly and greeted. They gathered my info and then told me they will get with me but they are busy with appointments. I responded that I had an appointment and the male rep responded, oh okay. I drive 112 miles, 3 hours a day so I wanted my car to have a complete inspection. I also requested an oil change and expressed concerns that the car pulls to the right, the start up is slow so perhaps I need new spark plugs and that the tire sensors light was on. I waited for completion and was told that they rotated the tires, changed the oil as I requested and reset the alignment. They asked me about the spark plugs stating that it should have been doing at a certain mileage maintenance but I wasn't sure. It seemed as if they didn't want to do it because they deflected and said well since I was taking the vehicle to Infiniti then more than likely it was already done. So I paid the bill and drove off the lot and noticed that my tire sensor light was still on. So I turned back around and went back to them to let the know if the issue. The mechanic stated that they did not have the part and will be ordering it and will call me on Friday to reschedule to replace the sensor. That was Thursday January 3rd it is now March 13th and no call. To make it even worst, I drive to work Friday morning and now when I break at high speeds the steering vehicle drastically shakes. So on Tuesday, March 5th I take my car to Good Year because the service engine soon light came on. I noticed the car started to drive rough and when stop while on it idles rough. So found out the vehicle had a bad coil. So they recommended I replace all 6. They also stated that the full injectors needed to be clean and I needed back breaks. I don't know if HiTech conducted a full inspection or check up but I took the entire day off with the intention that I wanted to get any and all repairs needed done but they didn't do that. I don't know if they were too busy and the quality if their work was sacrificed or if they just didn't care. All I know is i told them that I drive an older car and I drive 3 hours 112 miles a day and I do bit want to end up stranded on the side of the road so if you see something that needs to be replaced or repaired let me know. I did call Infiniti and they confirmed that the spark plugs were not changed during the 100k miles scheduled maintenance. I won't go back to HiTech perhaps this was isolated, perhaps they were overwhelmed with vehicles being such a small shop. read more

These guys saved me hundreds of dollars today. I was told by Pep Boys in Keller, TX (where we recently moved from) that my back brakes were at 45% a few months back and I needed to get them changed soon (they were trying to upsell me while they were replacing my front brakes). Today Hi Tech Auto inspected my back brakes and determined they were at 80%. 80. Freaking. Percent!! Let that sink in for a moment. They even went so far as to change the cabin air filter for me because while they were checking out my brakes they noticed the AC wasn't putting out like it should. (I had no idea and hadn't even mentioned it.) I just want to take this moment to thank you for not taking advantage of me. It's hard enough finding a mechanic you feel you can trust, especially being female. It could be all in my head but my brakes are much more responsive now. Maybe you topped it off with brake fluid...I don't know. Whatever you did, I feel safer driving now. I'll be coming to you from now on. read more

Honest. If it doesn't need done they won't do it. Thought I needed front brake pads due to high pitch squeal. Brake pads and rotor were fine. They didn't charge me anything. Just had a cooling system flush and fill for almost half the price of the chain shops Asked them to check the brake fluid and flush and fill if necessary. They said the brake fluid was fine. No charge for checking it. I'm not sure if other places would have been that honest. Good mechanics and owner is always there. Easy to talk to and never try to up sale read more

They couldn't do my oil change because there was no appointments but Becky made sure to ask me if I wanted to set one for Thursday. She said I could still go in for the break light, so I did. This is, without a doubt, the best auto repair shop in Hillsborough County...and I've been to many of them. We have four vehicles and each has over 100K miles so we are, unfortunately, fairly regular customers. Hi Tech will see us on very short notice, the work is always done right the first time, and prices are incredibly reasonable. Here's an example, last week just before Thanksgiving my Toyota Sienna developed an intermittent electrical problem. Hi Tech got me in the repair queue on very short notice. Because it was only 30 minutes before closing I had to leave the vehicle overnight and for various reasons, I would have to wait about two hours to get a ride home from family. When the owner heard that, he personally drove me 15 miles home to my neighborhood. Beat that service at your local dealer. P.S. Problem diagnosed and fixed the next day before lunch. Bad Battery which was under warranty but they didn't even charge me for labor to diagnose and replace. read more
