What a blessing! My car required an OEM replacement. The unit is no longer made, so I got a used unit on eBay. I requested several quotes on the phone installation and they varied from $130 to $250. I own an NEMT business and decided to try DTS Performance after reading some reviews. Anyone who runs an NEMT understands that the vans with lifts must have an interlock on both the handbrake and the shifter. Somehow the handbrake interlock in my E250 which consisted of a host of relays stopped working after I had my AC system fixed by another shop. Within an hour he was able to determine what each relay controlled and resolved the issue. The shop that broke it kept my van for 3 days and couldn't determine what they had done to cause the interlock to stop working. He was professional the entire time and even volunteered to help me remove my seats which were folded up. This speed to resolve allowed me to get right back to business the same day. Dan has just finished installing front and rear dashcams in four vehicles belonging to myself and other family members. That's EIGHT cameras. The work has been impeccable, the job was done at the time we agreed upon. The dashcams are sold by Streetguardian and meet all of our needs. There was a slight delay in this last installation. Three days before our agreed installation date my wife's car was rear ended at a traffic light. Not Dan's fault but he had to be put on hold for almost a month while the car was in the shop being repaired. I requested a quote and he came back with $400....this was his response...by the way Mike who I found on this sight charged my more than half this quote and sent me amazon links to buy parts which came to $22 not $100. And he's also one man operator "Those are very competitive prices. The best price I could do doesn't come close. If you are happy with the other places you got estimates from, I would go with them for sure. Being a small 1 man operation, I just do not get the discounts on materials that those other bigger shops must get. The cost for parts alone for your vehicle is around $100. You are looking at the dash kit, antenna adapter, wiring harness etc. So there is no real way I can compete. Especially once you add in the labor costs. Amazing service! Dan the owner gave me door to door service. He offered to come by my job to help fix my car radio. Within a hour of me calling him he was there which was so convenient because I work at a school. Unfortunately, in the end it wasn't an issue he could really fix because the wiring was good.
