Adding this on here because I've had it on Google but, want to make sure it gets to Yelp too. A few months ago, I had them install all new speakers in my VW Golf as well as a subwoofer and amp that I had from a previous vehicle. They did this all at a reasonable price and with a pretty quick turnaround. Fast forward a few months later, my car had some issues that the dealership is trying to blame on aftermarket speakers. I brought it back into Car Tunes and they very quickly brought it back, opened the door panels up and assessed. They brought me back to show that their work was done right. On top of that, they spent the next 2 hours performing tests to determine what may be causing the issue - all at no cost at the end of the day on a Friday! Speaking as someone who has worked at a local, family owned business for 6 years, these are exactly the things I'm looking for in any company I do work with. Someone with pride and ownership in their work. I will continue doing work with this company and recommending this company to anyone needing any audio improvements. Amazing. I searched high and low for a good honest business with reasonable prices for installations and was consistently disappointed by companies in Tampa proper. I decided to broaden my search and found Car Tunes--and I'm immensely glad I did. Jason is the man. A mere 110 bucks plus parts (another 15, but my speakers barely fit in my car as I purchased them on my own and yet he still made it work!) to install 4 front component speakers and two 6x9's in the back in my Honda Civic? Unbeatable. Every other place quoted me 130 (to start), some even past 200. I told Jason I was in a hurry to travel across the country and he fit me in with no appointment and had my car done the next morning by 10 am (I brought it just an hour before he closed and he had it done an hour after they opened the next day). Impressive. And! He even put all my panels back on properly and FIXED all these rattles my car has had for years!!! And that was just from taking things off and putting them back *properly*. I used to sell car stereos. My radio broke and I needed a replacement. The Car Tunes salesman recommended a $99 diagnostic to determine the problem. Before the diagnostic he also recommended replacing the amplifier and the speakers because they might be worn out. He also claimed he couldn't hook-up the subwoofer to the new radio and I'd need a new one with a roll-off control. This is a typical sales technique to run-up installation charges by selling you more than you need. I cancelled my appointment and walked out. read more

These guys have done tint for me on 3 different cars and it's always a great experience. They are much, much cheaper (like 50%) than anyone else around and they're fast. They don't try to upsell you on better film like other places around which is annoying as hell. I don't need some type of high dollar premium film on a 12 year old car. Solid shop here. read more

All around a great experience. We went in there at 1pm and came out with a perfectly installed 12" subwoofer by 4pm all at an affordable price. My husband and I just moved to the area and went to Car Tunes for installation of subs. We ended up going with larger subs and kept the smaller ones to put in our car. Excellent job on installation of subs and great customer service letting us know what would sound best. Prices are affordable as well. We have gone in for tint, sub installation, and laminex install. Even though the laminex was not having it on my vehicle they were very helpful and refunded our money since the product wasn't going well with our vehicle. Called and made an appointment they were very accommodating and flexible with my schedule. They were able to pinpoint problem quickly and fix it the same day. They were very professional and I didn't sell me anything that I didnt need. While waiting I overheard a conversation with another customer who had recently bought a used car and thought something was wrong with it . They were unable to replicate the problem so instead of selling them things they didnt need Jason came and told them the truth that as far as he could see everything was working fine now, they would have to continue to monitor it and bring it back in the future if needed. Solicited Car Tunes to install my equipment in my 2015 Infiniti and they took two full days to install the equipment and quoted me almost $200 less than what I ended up paying. Also, took money under took $600 cash under the table to avoid paying taxes and wouldn't give me a receipt for my $600.00 cash so I could not dispute the bill. I am calling the IRS and reporting them as well, besides opening a complaint with the BBB. They also didn't know how to correctly adjust my Audio Control DQ-61 Line out converter even though they indicated they knew what they were doing. Never again will I take someone's word for it. Just because people have been pounding nails for 30 years doesn't mean they know how to pound every kind of nail correctly.I would give them a zero but it doesn't allow for it. The reason I received quotes from 3 places is so I know what I can expect to pay not because I expect to pay more. Stay away from these individuals bait and switch tactics. Wow, I just discovered the two door lights are not working and one was hanging out of my door, after further investigation I am noticing the infinity crossovers are just bouncing around in my door panels and they must of knocked my lights out. If they don't fix this right I am disputing the whole labor charge this is rediculous read more

I was expecting a more professional attitude than the one that I received. I was barely greeted upon entering the fabulous Show Room that carries TWO BRANDS. The man that I believe was the owner was consumed with complaining about customers. Last I checked, customers are the livelihood of a business. When he finally got around to helping me, his tone was terse, impatient, and condescending. The price of the installation was more than the system and it was not itemized. To top off this daunting experience, the emblem was stolen off the trunk of my car. Car Tunes was the only establishment I had visited. The emblem was there when I washed my car in the morning. Car tunes was able to install both in the matter of 4 hours, and the product is flawless. The back up sensors and warning signal are impossible to tell they weren't manufacturer installed.
