I've been getting my windows tinted here for years ... since they were at their old location on N Dale Mabry. They're now located just down the same road by the Martial Arts place. They always do a great job and their tints have a lifetime guarantee. Yes, lifetime! You just have to keep the documents to bring in. Selecting which tint is simple to do with their options on display, but their staff is always on hand to help. I do wish they would include a wipe down of the windshield and any smudges after the tint job. Other than that, it's a perfect place for tints. read more

If you have a Ford Fusion and want to keep your car running like you had it before using this company, do NOT take your car here!! Our daughter's car radio went out before Thanksgiving and we were looking for a reputable business to put a new one in. Since she was going back to school early, we checked some places and then I remembered Audio Itch when it was on Cypress-since they have been around for about 30 years. Called and explained the issue and was told to bring the car in for an estimate, since it looked like it may need some expensive parts. Cool- take the car, was given some options and pricing. I asked " can this be done today?" " Yes, no problem, give us a couple of hours." After not hearing from anyone after SEVERAL hours, I'm becoming nervous and call. Was told, was having a little issue, but calling tech support for help. I head over as it was getting close to closing time. I go inside to see what's going on and now I hear them trying to start the car and NOTHING! Now, mind you the car was running FINE when we dropped it off! My husband comes up to see what the problem is and was told they don't know... it just won't start... HUH?!! We told him to keep the car and figure out the problem. After 4 days of them trying to "figure" out what's wrong, they Jerry rigged the engine to get it to crank and pretty much wiped their hands of the problem and told me, it wasn't the radio that was the problem, it was the CAR! We spent $1,100 for a radio, parts and labor only for the car to get towed to our mechanic who told us the WIRING was messed up from the install! We are still having issues and the car is back at the shop after being TOWED from Gainesville! The message on device that tells you what's wrong says the Power relay. OMG!! I dropped off my car without any problems waited about three hours and then they called me to let me know my car was finished and then I come back pay them $500 dollars and then when I receive my car back, the guy comes in saying hey you know you had ants in your car and I was like what do you mean I didn't have any ants in my car and then I go out and look in my car and see hundreds of ants that I know for sure were not there before I dropped off my car, it was due to the negligence and careless ax performed by this company as when they took my dash off to run the speaker wire they must have just thrown my dash in the grass do mediocre work and for what I paid I expected my car to be in good condition when it was returned to me not full of ants!!!!!!!! read more

I went in to see if they can fix and the owner of this "establishment" proceeded to yell at me that I did not request this. After asking him to lower his voice he proceeded to tell me " you have not seen me yell like I can". As the customer all I wanted was to have it fixed and was willing to pay the extra $50 to do so. For no apparent reason this man yelled at me in front of his employees. I was humiliated and felt verbally assualted by this man. All of this could of been avoided if he just was polite and not raised his voice at a woman much less a repeat customer. It's difficult to give a one-star review and I do not often do so. After our most recent window tinting experience, the one-star rating is well deserved. We're still waiting for the little bubbles and gaps to settle in from the application (told it can take a few days-weeks) so we're following their recommendations to not roll down the windows nor clean them. I will update in a few days if the bubbles don't disappear. Once we got home, we saw lots of little shards and bits of tint on the floorboards and in the back window. The pieces aren't small enough to miss and would've easily been seen if the cleanup process had been more attentive. Over the years and at both locations, we've brought four cars here to have window tinting installed. When reading the reviews, I was surprised that others had not received good service. However, I was encouraged to read that Audio Itch as recently as six months ago replaced another reviewer's damaged tint "no questions asked" because the tinting began peeling on one of our cars. Unfortunately, we were not afforded that same warranty coverage and experienced awkward interactions with two employees. Perhaps, the employees are not empowered to offer warranty coverage or loyalty discounts. As a military family who believes in supporting local businesses, we will look elsewhere when needing future tinting or any other service Audio Itch provides. I highly suggest you do the same. I'm very sorry that we didn't cancel our appointment and take our car elsewhere as Audio Itch didn't seem to care about our customer loyalty so why should we support their business? Audio Itch provides car audio equipment, car audio installation, window tinting, marine audio, car alarms, and back up systems. I recently bought a new car and didn't realize how terrible it is driving a car without tint in Florida. Obviously car tint is essential for heat reduction and privacy. I was heading over to the shop, but quickly realized they not only moved, but the building was being demolished. They relocated to 3309 S. Dale Mabry Highway. I scheduled an appointment for a Saturday morning and splurged for the ceramic tint. I went darker than street legal, but they advised me on what was legal. Excellent service! I had my Mercedes SLK's windows tinted here. If you know anything about tinting the window in the SLK's retractable top, you'll know it can be difficult. Audio Itch completed the whole project like it was child's play. I was so happy with their work that I brought them my Tesla Performance Model 3. They PPF'd the front 1/4, and ceramic coated the entire car. It came out absolutely beautiful. Lonnie, the service advisor and Dean, the owner get high marks for their wealth of knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail. Audio Itch does great work at reasonable prices! So the dealership that I used to work for used Audio Itch, and I feel like EVERY single time I had a customer get work done there, an issue always arose. Great. Then my fiancé decides that since he's had 12 cars done there, to go ahead and not heed my warnings and he took our Camaro in for tint. OUR Camaro. Anyways, the appointment was quick, and he came back with bubbles. We waited a day, and the bubbles clearly didn't disappear. We took it back, and the lady acted like this was a user error. Um, no. This is a you thing, not an us thing. This review would have been three stars if not for your rude personnel. They fixed it. There are still some small bubbles that I hope go away by tomorrow. Audio Itch did an amazing job with my car, I had a horrible experience with scheduling with MCOR they had me down for a time I called two hours before wasted a 2 hr trip to them for them to say there machines were down and scheduled me out 2 weeks away with no apologies for my wasted trip. I called Audio Itch and they were great, I went in and I really had no idea what I wanted, I wanted it dark but didn't even know that there were levels of heat resistance or anything. I got 15% all the way around and 70% heat resistance and I love it. They walked me around my car because I asked about Paint correction and gave me the whole break down, I will definitely be going back to them for paint correction a ceramic coat and more they have definitely got a life long customer. read more

I was concerned about coming here because there were a few less than positive reviews, but it's so close to my office that I decided to call and inquire about window tinting. I made an appointment for the next day. I did mention my hesitation, and the gentleman behind the counter said they've managed to stay in business for 30 years, so they had to be doing something right. All I wanted was window tint on my two front doors to match the back doors and rear window that were factory tinted. After a brief discussion about window tint options, I made my choice, sat down in the waiting room, and my vehicle was ready in about 45 minutes. I paid for the service, received my warranty information and care instructions, and was on my way in less than an hour. That was about three weeks ago. The tint looks fine today (it isn't an exact match, but I doubt that it is noticeable to anyone but me), whoever did it did a great job, and very little mess on the interior (it was as could be expected). I took my new car to get tinted by this company only to have it returned with all of the windows dirty, the windshield wiped down with a dirty rag as well all of the other windows. Dirty wet hand prints and smudges all over the outside of the car. This company does not respect the cars they work on an try to charge a detailing fee to clean up their own mess they create inside and outside of the car! They claim they cannot wipe down the outside of the cars because they may damage the paint, but will charge you $60 to wipe it down under the guise of a cheap detail! Kuhn Honda uses Audio Itch to install their window tinting. After purchasing a new 2018 Civic Sport Touring, Audio Itch damaged the paint beneath the rear window when they did the tinting. Luckily, I discovered this before leaving the car dealership, and Kuhn Honda graciously agreed to repair the damage these bozos caused to my three-day-old car. They raved about how good this place was and how nice the people are. So I decided to take them up on the recommendation and had both my husband and I's Audis tinted. My car has cut lines that don't match up with the window and my husband had bubbles all over the back window as well as tint not matching up. My husband took his back after over two weeks the bubbles didn't go away. The staff was argumentative and said "the tint looks fine as long as the car is dirty." They also didn't fix the back window because they said they'll damage the windows defroster. They then had an installer take a look and said this was bad. Came here because of reviews were good. But I didn't inspect before I left. There were scratches on ALL my windows that they tinted. Came back the next week to tell them. They said clean the Windows and sometimes that is all it needs. Did that and no change in the scratches. I fortunately bought the lifetime warranty $50 more but the inconvenience of bringing it back for 2+ hrs. I hope they do a better job than the first time. I didn't buy the cheapest stuff either. Been considering getting my wife's car tinted for awhile but just hadn't pulled the trigger. I have driven past this place for a while so thought I'd check it out. Sent a communication through Yelp to get some idea of pricing and ended making a next day appointment. The guy at the desk (I think the manager) was friendly and knowledgable upon arrival. He walked me through all the tint options in terms of quality and darkness/heat protection. The job was complete in about an hour or so and now that the tints have dried she love them! I've passed by the auto tint shop for years, and that's saying alot because I've lived in the Tampa Bay area for over 14 years. Audio Itch is in a prime location off 275 and Dale Mabry so the location is awesome, but it says a lot for it to be around for 14 years because it's certainly not cheap. They were quick, friendly and tinted my car in two hours. Granted, I highly recommend making an appointment. You have the option to wait, and they have a great waiting area but bring a sweater, it's a freezer. You can watch movies and time flies. When my car was done, it looked perfect. I did pay the premium to get the lifetime warranty but it's worth it. It was pouring down rain, and they were kind enough to pull my car underneath the awning to make sure I didn't get wet myself. Background: I have been a customer on several occassions, both tinting & audio, since 2005. I can assure you that (for the most part) I will never go elsewhere for service. Tinting: I have had 3 cars tinted at Audio Itch. The first two were tinted at a grade above the $99 special. No issues with bubbling, scratching or tears. This last time, I took it a grade higher on a 4 door Civic. After taxes, it ran around $210, but the optical clarity is well worth the price. Only had some minor bubbling on the rear, driver side window; however, it cleared up within a couple of days. On another note, if you legally require windshield sunscreening, they will cover it for around $125, if memory serves me. If you just want the strip at the top, it will run you around an extra $25. Audio: My first experience with with them was on a '96 T-bird. They ran the wires and hooked up my (already owned) subs and amp. When the amp blew (my fault), they sold me a JL 360.2 in 2006. 10 years later and the amp is still running. I have also purchased a ported box from here and they have also done a LoC install. My only gripe with them was when they sold me on an Arc Audio 12" sub because they were "sold out" of the JL 12 that I was looking for. They claimed it had great bass clarity and solid range. The clarity was good, but the range was horrendous. Better yet, the sub blew within a year without me making any adjustments to the amp. It was a piece of crap. I went over to Best Buy and picked up a Kicker CompR and never had a problem since then. The price was about the same at the time: approx $200 for the speaker. A.I. no longer carries the brand (Arc) and for good reason. Unfortunately, since it was the owner that sold me on that "American Made" sub, I have lost confidence in their recommendations and will do my own research going forward. All in all, I am a loyal customer and I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Sent an email via Yelp around 1100am and received a response within 30 mins explaining cost, warranty and Dean set me up an appointment for the same day at 2. Friendly staff that walked me through selection and even showed me options on vehicles in the parking lot. Price was wonderful and they only had my car for 3 hours( I chose not to wait). I called the morning of to see if they had any availability to tint my 4d Civic. They took me in at noon, it was done in an hour and a half. They have I think 5 or 6 options for film used, and have it hanging right on the window so you know what you're getting, which is nice, but it makes it a lot easier to go up a price range because you've got better quality tint right in front of your face. Films range from $99 (their "sale" tint, warrantee doesn't cover fading) to over $200. I went with the 70% heat reduction, a tier below their ceramic, came out to a little over $200 after tax. They offer an additional $30 warrantee to cover scratches, which I declined. A bit pricier than I've ever paid for tint, but I chose the pricier tint. Other reviews have complained about customer service. I have learned time and time again that if you want great customer service (well, a car place isn't where I'm expecting fantastic people skills to begin with), you should be a great customer. ASK QUESTIONS. I should have asked that they do my back windshield what is apparently the "illegal" way, the automatically do an ugly cut out of the tint where the break light is if you have that style car. My fault for not asking, but they didn't share my options for having it redone (could have given me a round number estimate). Though the value was nothing to write home about, they did a great job, the experience was convenient, and although window tint is not a field you will earn my loyalty, I would go back again. read more

For anyone reading reviews online you must know the source in which it came from and be objective...not everyone is happy. They are not the best when it comes to customer service but they get the job done and they are honest people. The price is a little bit above the average but you get what you pay for...some things you can't be cheap on in my opinion. I had to go back the next day because I wasn't happy with the aftermath of the service and the owner gladly fixed it and took care of me. In my opinion, that is an honest small business who isn't just after you hard earned dollars.
