I watched her back a lot too, since she spent much of the appointment sitting and typing at the computer rather than looking her patient in the eyes. She couldn't seem to remember what she said to my face by the time she turned around to type it five seconds later, then was rude to the medical assistant when he did his best to remember for her as she demanded he repeat what she had just said so she could enter it into her laptop. When she asked me what had worked for me in the past related to the issue I was experiencing, she yelled at me that she doesn't prescribe some of those things. I didn't care whether she did or didn't. I was simply answering her question, yet she responded with a level of hostility and contempt that was shocking. She never properly examined me or put her hands on me to determine what might be going on. Instead, she made a series of assumptions and ordered unnecessary tests. I know those assumptions were entirely inaccurate because I went to see another practitioner who helped me resolve the issue in a single appointment with no testing needed, and who was appalled when I shared my experience with Dr. Stepanenko. Her behavior was unacceptable and inexcusable. I will never return to Jaffe. It has become a revolving door of doctors, and patients deserve better. I will go out of my way to save others from wasting their time here. I sincerely hope you don't waste yours.
