Excel Physical Therapy of Naples lives up to their name. I was very spectacle to go to therapy again for Bilateral Peroneal Nerve Tendonitis (the nerve that is attached to the outside of ankles and knees) since the last 3 Physical Therapy offices in Naples were absolutely unprofessional, and without knowledge or concern. I have been suffering for 3 years with bilateral shooting pain, ankle pain, knee pain, planter fascia, screaming pain up and down my legs, top of feet, burning and stabbing. I was given steroid shots in both ankles and knees for 6 months. Could not sleep at night, and I felt down right miserable. Marina owner of Excel is very intelligent and aware of your pain, she explores and finds exactly what road map for her client. Marina's goal is for you to get back to normal living again. Being an LMT in Naples /Marco since 1998, I thought I had all the answers for my own body until I met Marina. She taught me non stop strengthening exercises to strengthen my lower limbs and hips and she kept an eye on me even if she had another client. Her eyes always follow you...so no cheating guys! She tested many areas, not just the ankles. Marina is thorough and she searches until she finds the answers for your healing. Marina allows the body to tell her what it needs. I had a double knee replacement several months back in NY. Traveling down to Naples for the winter I decided to check out a few places to continue my physical therapy. I checked out several different places and decided on Excel Physical Therapy of Naples. Marina and Jack were phenomenal and extremely diligent on getting my knees where they needed to be so that I can bike ride, walk for miles and do every day activities without pain and also with stability on my feet. Jack consistently corrected me while I was doing these exercises and explained in detail why I should do things a certain way. (For example not to use my hip to overcompensate for my knees). The philosophy of Excel is to train you to do exercises and strengthening that you will be able to do for yourself at home. They are definitely NOT like other PT places where you're put on a machine and someone looks over their shoulder to see what you're doing as they are working with several other people. I had my first experience with physical therapy at Excel, after suffering a work-related injury to my shoulder. Worker's Comp selected the facility, so I had no say and no idea what to expect. The facility was very clean, and well equipped with gadgets for everything - from tables to stair climbers, to weights of all sizes. There were several other patients there at the same time as me. I thought I would feel self conscious (like going to a gym), but everyone was doing their own thing. My therapist, Juan, was very nice and professional. He took his time "testing" my strength and mobility and did not push me to do anything I wasn't capable of, or anything that hurt. He explained things in a manner I could understand, and sent me home with detailed instructions of exercises to do in my spare time. When it came time for me to leave, the girl at the front desk was patient as I reviewed my calendar before scheduling future appointments. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs PT. read more

When recurring pain caused by a disc in my neck took me back to physical therapy, I found Excel through two former patients. I could not have chosen a better place! Having experienced physical therapy many times, I found them to be highly professional, very knowledgeable, and quite willing to answer my many questions. After my first visit, I had future sessions scheduled, with the reassurance that if I finished early, I could cancel any visit not needed. And that is exactly what happened. The therapists knew exactly where my pain was, used massage and pressure points to alleviate the discomfort, and designed an exercise program that I could do at the clinic as well as at home. I went from not being able to turn my neck to the left AT ALL, to a full range of motion. I did not need muscle relaxers after a few weeks, and I credit Excel with my quick recovery. I had my right knee replaced in Oct 2019 and needed to continue PT when I came to naples, fl. I don't know what attracted me to excel perhaps it was the bios of Juan and Marina. It doesn't really matter but as luck would have it, it was a great choice. Starting with Juan and Marina and including Mary and Kathy the professionalism and knowledge of the human body goes above and beyond. Oh, before I forget the reception desk is on a par with the therapists. Now back to the PT, every exercise is explained clearly and concisely in layman terms and what is trying to be accomplished and their patience in answering your question is immense. So first and formost the PT, great, now the rest, the conversation during PT unbelievable from tennis to food it's all there. You don't feel like a patient, you feel like family. I have been to many physical therapist in the past and have gotten no relief. I've had back pain in the past. When I came here after about six or seven weeks, my back pain was gone. Juan is the best! He knows exactly how far to go and what exercises work for you the best. You have to understand that I've had chronic back pain for over 12 years. I injured my back lifting weights. I had given up on physical therapist, and had quit exercising altogether because of my pain. I was so astonished, after such a short time that I could have no back pain. It was unbelievable. I've had facet, SI and epidural injections most with no relief. This place is the best! However, right after I got feeling better than I have in many years, I fell at work I hurt my back and I am starting over. I would recommend this place without a doubt! I completely tore my quadriceps tendon in Oct 2019. I started therapy with Excel, specifically Juan, in November. At that time my range of motion, or flexion, was only 55 degrees - not very functional for daily activities. After two months of working diligently with Juan and Cathy they increased my flexion to 121 degrees without any warm-up, which would increase to 130 degrees after some tough stretching. Given the traumatic nature of the injury they did a remarkable job. The entire staff are upbeat and have a wonderful attitude and genuinely care about your wellbeing. During those months of hard work many of my colleagues commented on how quickly I was recovering. If I ever require physical therapy again Excel is the first place I will go. In late December, I had to have surgery to remove a bone spur that tore a hole through my Achilles tendon. I knew from the get-go that it was going to be a 3 month journey toward the recovery finish line. When the opportunity came up to spend a month in Naples, Florida, we jumped on it. My doctor was none too happy that I was going to be away from his care for a month, but I assured him that I found a great place for Physical Therapy down in Naples. And indeed, I have! I was referred to Excel Physical Therapy as part of my post hip replacement surgery recuperation plan. Besides the convenient location, spotless facility and adherence to COVID mitigation recommendations (Masks required, Thank you!), my experience here has been superb. Prior to each session I am asked how I am doing and if I have experienced any pain or difficulty. The therapist listens and makes adjustments to the day's program to best meet those needs. The exercises done at Excel are challenging yet assure positive results and improvement. A majority of these are also easy to accomplish at home, so my therapeutic plan does not skip a beat when I am not there. Juan, Marina, and the rest of the staff are great! I had pain and weakness in my left hip and was prescribed physical therapy by Dr Leon Mead. I chose Excel from the rest because of their high ratings and proximity to where I live in Naples. I'm glad I chose them and would choose them again if needed. I encourage anyone that uses their services to ask a lot of questions. Marina was my therapist and she was glad to answer questions and explain how the therapy would help me walk normal again. Came to Naples for a month from Kentucky but with a broken right kneecap and in need of physical therapy. Found Excel on the web and was so very happy they were available to tend to my knee which had been broken in 3 places. Juan was my therapist and he was excellent. Five ***** for Excel! The facility was clean and everyone there was kind and friendly. Always on time, no waiting. Most importantly, Juan rehabbed my knee to 125 degrees in 30 days. I can now walk without struggling and play golf two days a week without pain! I was skeptical as to which physical therapy company I wanted to work with after having a cam impingement surgery on my right hip, so I consulted with three different places in Naples before deciding to go with Excel. The owners, Juan and Marina, and P.T. Assistant, Kathy, knew all about my condition and what it'd take for me to get back to normal. I was in great hands each session because they would listen to me when I'd tell them how I was doing (whether it was bad or good), and would make adjustments according to how my body was responding to the new exercises and stretches. Juan, Marina and Kathy were all great to work with. So friendly but so professional. I started therapy after total knee replacement in Wisconsin and continued here after about 7 weeks. My knee extension was not where it should have been when I first came. Juan, Marina and Kathy worked with me at different appointments and I was impressed with each of them and the individual care and attention that they gave me. They were very diligent in getting my knee to full extension. They spent time stretching and manipulating to get the best possible result. I came to EXCEL PHYSICAL THERAPY for treatment of a lower back injury. These folks know their stuff! They already had all the info on my injury when I got there and had a treatment plan in place. After the first session my pain reduced to nearly half! They ask all the right questions and monitored my progress constantly. They have a great team spirit and work together to make sure no one is forgotten. I received clear and easy to understand instructions for the exercises while there and for my home treatment. I have been going to Excel for a few months now, first for my foot and now my shoulder. I have had such a positive experience the entire time I have been going there. From the first time I called to set up an appointment, help with billing (they went above and beyond to assist me with my insurance company), and then the physical therapy itself. This was my first time ever going to PT and it was a fantastic experience despite the fact I was there after an hip replacement! Everyone was friendly, very knowledgable, the facility very clean and extremely beneficial in healing fast! Juan was my therapist and made the time go quickly and smoothly. He was great at every aspect of his profession from gradually challenging me to push harder and recover, to gently manipulating my hip/leg to improve strengthen in my muscles needed for walking. Excellent care. Great location. Nice facility. Very clean. Easy parking. Welcoming and friendly. I really can't speak highly enough about the physical therapists, Juan and Claudio. They are very knowledgeable, professional, and caring. They explain things well which is helpful to me. The office ladies are accommodating and always pleasant and helpful too. I feel comfortable with them. My sister used this Excel facility before I did and did very well after a knee replacement. She recommended them to me. I had a rotator cuff repair and am healing well under their guidance. I give them my highest recommendation. If I ever need physical therapy again. I will choose them. read more
