Great experience. Seth is a very caring and enthusiastic therapist who focuses on treating the…read morecause of the pain rather than just trying to treat the symptoms. I was out of work for months and seeing another physical therapist in Seattle with no relief. My doctor said surgery was on the table. Circumstance brought me to Bellingham to continue my care, and I'm incredibly glad it did. I was back to work and back to all of the sports I love within six weeks.

Seth was recommended by a fellow back pain sufferer who had great results at his practice…read more I was already seeing a PT in town. In fact, I'd seen the same one before and after my first back surgery. Now, thanks to a new injury (and not every fully getting back to my fitness level post surgery) I felt like I was facing a second back surgery. I'm a healthy, pretty fit 45 year old dude. This shouldn't be happening! I've just retuned from my 3rd session with Seth and my back pain is nearly gone. Seth's holistic approach to PT is unlike anyone's I've seen. He's got a Ph. D (he actually is a Dr. of PT). He is the kind of health care practitioner you want. He's informative. He explains everything he's doing and why you're in the condition you're in to begin with. He's like a chiropractor, massage therapist, personal trainer and PT in one. After my first session with Seth, I cancelled 3 booked appointments with my original therapist. So whether you're suffering from an injury currently, want to prevent one, or just want to be sure you're keeping your "machine" working, make an appointment with Seth today. You won't regret it. His site is easy to book an appointment online. He does 60 minute sessions. Just book it. You'll be glad you did. And no, I'm not Seth's Mom or some other paid shill, I'm just a very happy customer who wants to see professionals like Seth be able to help as many people as he can. It truly seems to be what he was born for!

I recently returned from a road trip and suffered "drivers knee" (or at least that's what I found…read moreonline when I self diagnosed myself). I was constantly in pain and wasn't sure if I would be able to squat again. I do Crossfit (don't judge me). I met Alex a couple of weeks after my trip and he figured out that it was an irritated hamstring that was pinching my sciatica nerve. He was very upfront about it taking probably 6 weeks to get better and he didn't try to push a lot of appointments on me. I've seen Physical Therapists before where they try to get you in multiple times a week, every week for months. I personally can't afford that, plus it seems like over kill. I like that Alex gave me my exercises and scheduled me out 2 weeks. That way it gives your body time to strengthen and heal from the exercises he gives you. I'm at the 5 week mark and I'm able to do 95% of everything I use to do. My knee still gets a little angry at very bent angles, but it's so close to being healed and way better than it was 5 weeks ago. I highly recommend Onward, their online scheduling is really easy and their space is beautiful.

Dr. Alex Benitez provided a clear, informative, and entertaining presentation addressing the most common problem runners face. He described simple steps that all runners can apply to reduce the frequency and severity of patella femoral pain. The presentation included slow-mo gait analysis video with live on-screen mark-ups showing common misalignment, crossover, and heal-striking problems and how to correct these issues. The clinic included revealing audience participation exercises (I need to work on quad strength!) and plenty of time for Q&A and discussion. Any Bellingham-area runners who did not attend today's clinic should look for future opportunities to join this free clinic if Onward Bellingham offers it again. I'm signing up for Onward Bellingham's Restore and Perform program to get their expert help in guiding my running training program.
