During this entire process Chris (and his workers) were exemplary. He knows Davis regulations and building codes like the back of his hand, clearly presents his prices, and helped us navigate many tricky issues. For example, upon doing our electrical work it was discovered that almost none of our outlets were grounded, presenting a major fire-hazard. Chris worked with us to replace these at a minimal charge. He also took our many questions in stride and was on-site himself almost every day. We are so happy we went with Chris. I would strongly recommend him whether you are planning a large job like ours or a simple remodel (i.e. only a kitchen or only a bathroom, etc.).

Would not recommend Rose Remodeling - we met with this company at the Home show and set up an appointment- the sales rep (Eric) came out on the 4th in the evening, took measurements, we went over what we wanted and he said he would get us an estimate - haven't heard a peep - don't waste your time as they will waste yours and not communicate - he also kept saying "this is going to be expensive" without even knowing our budget. My husband was concerned that the sales guy didnt act like he knew what he was doing when talking through what we wanted, measuring - then we sat our our table for 15 minutes while he scrolled home depot site showing us shower heads -- I told him he could just send us something as I was losing patience -- so he said he would send us an estimate and left - that was 10 days ago - not an email saying working on it, not a can't do it -- nothing. I appreciate small businesses and want to support them but not to my time and expense. I also understand (from my past experince being a home show participant) that there may be an influx of sales calls, etc..however that is not an excuse for zero communcations after an inperson sales meeting. Poor leadership, sales and attention to detail which unfortunately for the team doing the work could cause more problems. Recommend to owners to be honest - if your sales team doesn't want to do the work or can't - just say so - don't say you're going to do something and never deliver!!! When they first came to do a touchup and smooth things over they ended up damaging the wall, even more! Then they came back a second time right before we were selling the house, the day before pictures were to be taken and splashed a little bit of paint, but never fixed the handprint they left, or the chip in the wall not to mention the initial crack. When I tried to explain to one of their workers that I was not happy, and I wanted them to call the owner Dave outside so I can speak with him. They ended up just driving off and never picked up/returned any of my phone calls. Absolutely disgusted with the way this company handled business for a paying customer after the initial job was done! I would give them negative stars if possible! BEWARE !!! Once these guys get paid for a initial job they are ghosts !

We've remodeled a kitchen before with a company that wasn't fantastic, so having Vostok…read moreconstruction be so great was amazing. We chose Vostok Construction to remodel our primary bathroom/bedroom that had lots of water damage. We knew that it would be a big job (needed new subfloor and floor joists and studs in one wall) and they took care of us. They were very careful to make sure their mess didn't get anywhere outside of the job site, took their time to make the finishes look just right, and were courteous and kind to myself and my kids. And Igor's tiling is absolutely stunning. I have high standards for finishes and I cannot find a flaw in our tile--he's that good. Eric and Alex were super helpful with seeing our vision and explaining what would be cost effective but also functional. I never felt like either of them pushed me to do something I didn't want (and as a people pleaser, that's hard!). The job had a couple of rough spots (bad plumbing from the previous contractor, and a paint color mixup etc.) but each time there was an issue, the communication was clear and they let us know what needed to be done. They were patient when we realized our faucets and other metal finishes weren't matching and did their best to help us find what we needed. They finished the job in the timeframe they quoted us even with some hiccups along the way. I would 100% recommend Vostok Construction (and I have to some friends!). I hope to use them again in the near future for some more bathrooms and a living room overhaul.
