I drove about 45 minutes to Lynn to look at a 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5s with only 63k miles advertised online for $7,950. The lot looked sketchy and the "large inventory" that was bragged about by the owner Tom was non-existent. I walked straight to the Altima and was in total shock. Online the images were a practically brand new looking 2003 vehicle.When I spoke to Tom he said that this was a great car with no body damage and a steal because of the low mileage. When inspecting the vehicle I was disappointed. The two front headlights were foggy, dents right under the grill, a long scratch on the driver's side of the vehicle, rust along the gas tank, and a huge dent on the trunk, and more scratches along the passenger side of the vehicle. Tom said "Oh it has a few dings and dents but nothing too major". The tag on the car was selling for $8,950 and Tom offered to sell it for $8,000, but over the phone he said he'd sell it for $7, 490. He appeared to be very zoned out. Long story short he was not knowledgeable about this vehicle or any of the limited vehicles that he had. Performance Auto Brokers are dishonest salesmen and I would never send my worst enemy there to buy a car. I purchased a car from them in March 2011. April 2011 I had to made repairs and then the transmission started failing. I take it back and explain this to them, and the "sales manager" refused to do anything about it. And the owner ignored my calls. I have since taken the car to Jack Madden Ford to be looked at, and only to find out they did in fact try and make major repairs to the car in order to sell it, of which they did not disclose prior to selling the car. Therefore that can expect to receive my 30 day demand letter of which I know they are ignorant and will not respond so will we be in court very soon. We met with them over two months ago and gave them a $100 REFUNDABLE deposit to secure the car we wanted while we waited on the approval process and we still haven't received our $100 back mind you we've been calling them every day for the past month and a half. $100 really? Any day would be great guys! I'm sure your business won't go under over $100. We didn't wait a month and a half to give you your money so we shouldn't be waiting on ours. Pathetic! read more

Absolutely horrible!!! Bought a van there because our budget was too low for dealership. They are very dishonest people. They lie about the actual shape of the car. We had ours fully checked at the dealership close by and they had lied to us about the timing belt that had supposedly been changed less than a year ago (which in fact wasn't). When I called them out on it they told me I should pay for it. Before buying it, the sales person, Anthony, told us that if there was anything wrong with it, and he insisted on ANYTHING, they'd fix it. FALSE!! Once they get the money, they don't care anymore and go back on their word. They become extremely rude as well and will make you feel like you're the one that's in the wrong. This place is shady!!!! Tom, the owner, is as smarmy and awful as used car salesmen get. This guy gives the used car salesman the bad reputation they have. He won't even answer my calls or return messages for a car I bought a month ago to take care of issues that I have in writing that Performance Auto Brokers said they would remedy. Beware of his surprise "Doc Fee" of $595, which as far as I can tell, is the highest in the industry. I had already flown out to pick up the car before I was made aware of the fee, which was more than 10% of the purchase price. Absolutely disgusting. My particular salesman, Steve, was awesome, however, he must have gotten smart, because within a month of buying the car, he had already moved on, probably to a more ethical workplace. read more

This dealership is straight scummy! I just bought a 2006 corolla for 9000$ and it failed inspection for transmission code. When they said they would send it toyota of danvers to be fixed i picked it up in a scum lot and by the time i got home the engine light was back on! So i made an appointment to get it fixed at Toyota of Acton the salesman and Tom the owner freaked out and claimed they wont pay unless i bring it to there own personal mechanic and when i asked to speak with the mechanic they claimed they dont allow that! First of all I had a Car approved on another Dealer (North End Motors) and saw the same vehicle (2008 Scion tC) but with Navigation system and what appear to have a better condition, so I decide to stop the deal with the dealer and give a chance to Performance Auto Brokers. I spoke with Tom and some were along the lines I ask about the disclaimers on Auto.com where the car is listed. Then on my search of his inventory I saw the Love of my life; A 2007 Hyundai Tiburon SE(http://lynn-ma.auto.com/used-cars-for-sale/hyundai-tiburon-2007) Blue metallic, with Red and Black leather interior and not a scratch or dent on it plus shine like a mirror, that was love at first site. Was the same price as the Scion so I decide to go for the Tiburon, they were going to open the alleged dealer at my arrival witch was like an hour after there closing time and let me test drive the two cars. At this point Tom has giving me the salesman name and number witch he said lives near by. (LOL @ salesman) His name is Dawn, hyper kind of guy that will interrupt you every time you talk. He ask me what was I offered on the other dealer and I told him then he said that was no way that he cut match that (APR) and he asked me what bank were they using. (wow a salesman that doesn't know his field) again (LOL @ salesman). Mind you all this only has happened till this point over the phone. Now I'm traveling from RI to Lynn MA (what a mistake) I kept in contact with the Glorious salesman and at a point I was at a light to turn left on a street (I think the name of the street was Washington St) Dawn call me and ask me where I was and I told him I was turning left in Washington and he said "Washington st in Lynn" like there no street in Lynn with that name (again LOL @ salesman). I finally arrive at the Dealer (This dealer in specific equals GETTO) My friends first words were "I don't like this", and I agree and believe me when I said I agree. The cars where not in the conditions that the appear on the pictures. When I spotted the Tiburon what a heart braking moment, rear bumper had being hit, left rear quarter had damaged, paint was opaque, the interior was faded and in top of all that I was supposed to test drive the cars but they were all in this small location that it would of take literally close to 20 minutes just to get to the first car. I'm REALLY DISAPPOINTED and if you see the pictures of the Tiburon you'll know why I was heart broken. DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCUMBAGS. I foolishly ignored the reviews below, under the impression I was getting a decent car and so the dealer did not matter. I was so wrong and have felt nothing but stress and regret since my purchase. I should have known that a place that requires you to first buy the car and fail inspection in order to get anything fixed should no be trusted. Alas, that is what I did, got the car, after empty promises of brand new tires, breaks, etc. The car ended up failing for a leaky exhaust. The check engine light then went on when I was bringing it to get the exhaust fixed. Turns out it needed a new catalytic converter, which Anthony, maybe the least trustworthy person I have ever met, referenced a bit of fine print in the paperwork and bled me for another $100! I receive the car back and whaddyaknow, the check engine light is still on. I'm told that this will go off after it is driven a bit more. I bring it back to the shop I originally had it inspected at and they bring me into the garage to show me how the exhaust is still leaking in multiple places. They replaced one piece of the pipe (poorly) and simply puttied over the other leak. This is the predicament I am currently in. I am thinking of actually just paying for the work myself now, as I have so little faith that bringing it back to these skeezy used car salesman would actually result in anything being fixed. Long story short, do not trust anything these people say and do not step foot on the property. Whether it be the owner, Tom or the 'manager' Anthony, neither can be trusted in the least.
