Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Waited 3 months for them to work on my car. Several reschedules on their end for not having the part or not checking their stock. Why sell me something if you don't have it in stock and not tell me it's back ordered. Went to pick up my car said everything was done but they only got 1 camera working didn't even mention they couldn't get the 2nd camera to work . Unprofessional. These guys are wonderful. Earlier this year, I got my oil changed at another shop (not Perfectionist) in Anchorage. When I got my truck back, some of the buttons on the steering wheel (volume controls) wouldn't work anymore. They worked prior to this oil change. The oil change guys kind of shrugged and said "we didn't touch that, so we can't help you." We had recently had a good deal of light and radio upgrades done to this truck by Perfectionist, and it happened to be nearby. So, I went over there and asked them if they could help. They were super busy, but they immediately jumped in to address this issue. The tech (don't remember his name) pulled apart the whole steering column and the radio before figuring out what the problem was. The problem was so silly that I felt silly for even bringing it in. We both got a good chuckle out of the situation. I'm not going to tell you what the issue was, because it was embarrassing how silly it was. Nonetheless, they never made me feel silly about bringing it in. They didn't charge me and they had me in and out in about half an hour. Long story less long; this is the place to go if your vehicle needs electronic, radio and lighting anything. These guys are super 1000 and I truly appreciate their service to us silly Anchorage folk. Well, good luck getting a thank you. I've installed my own remote starts . 4x It's a pain. Yes, They did a professional install. who in town doesn't? Certainly the remote start is great but there are a lot of great ones out there. The barista where I get my coffee has to deal with hundreds of customers a day and manages a little personal chit chat. I just had An alignment done at big O's. I got a little personal chit chat. At A.I.H. I Bought a cheap wheelbarrow. -chit chat. When I walked in to order the starter. I saw the owner that made a nice video for his website, so I recognized him. I said hello when I came in.....no acknowledgment from him. Nothing. I saw him when I went to pick up the car. I nodded and smiled to him in the parking lot as I walked in. Nada. No chit chat from the employees. It's just business. No thank you. No acknowledgement from the owner It's s pretty stoic, emotionless , not all that friendly place, I certainly don't need my ass kissed. But when I spent 100 bucks plus a 20 tip at the sushi place yesterday. I got a thank you from no less than 4 employees. Here, zero! And the owner himself had two really good opportunities. I spent 500 bucks And I felt like it was expected. Not appreciated. read more

I went there today for an Android Auto issue. Wasn't sure the problem. I forgot the woman's name, but I'm guessing Annalise... helped me out. It took her a few minutes to figure out it was my phone's cable causing the problem. Tried a new cable and that was it. On the road traveling 4400 miles from home, you have to find a shop and try it. They were awesome and had me back on the road in minutes...happy as can be. No charge. read more

Awesome to work with. Worked with me and did some work they usually don't even do. Installed LED interior and exterior lights all around, also a bull bar with HID spots on it and two LED light bars inside my grill which required a custom fabricated bracket. Also did LED fog lights, LED rear light bar and switchback turn signals. Install was flawless. Looks OEM! Chris did an amazing job and the final price for labor was exactly as quoted with no hidden fees. In fact it was slightly better because they did a few little things on the house. It took awhile but I finally got around to getting the stereo in my car working again. The head unit Shimeks installed had the Bluetooth function fail. Shimeks completely botched the install and closed shop before I could get it remedied. Perfectionist directed me toward a head unit that has all the functionality I need with the bonus of having a high power internal amp that is fantastic. Hands down the best internal amp of any head unit I've ever heard. It took some rewiring to undo the Shimeks hack job but they did it and got my entire system working again and sounding absolutely fantastic. Their customer service was excellent and they were very responsive with emails. There is very little available regarding what is actually installed in my vehicle and they did extra research to determine that their install/rewire would go flawlessly. It did. Very disappointed. Went in to ask about speakers & new radio for my son's car. The lady who works for the company, told me that she'd be right with me. A man walked in and the lady ignored me and went and help the man. Just because I'm a woman who knows sound systems and was ready to spend money; get ignored like that is beyond me. I find it disgusting. I hope the boss/es speaks to the lady because she's the front of the house. Poor customer service. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Rob and his team! They have installed Drone remote start systems in both of our cars. Appointments are easy to schedule, turnaround times are fast, and communication is always excellent. Three years after getting the first system installed, I brought one of the cars back in due to persistent battery drain that the dealer identified as being caused by the Drone system. Perfectionist checked it out, found that the remote start wasn't the issue, but just in case replaced it with a newer model free of charge. Even better, my car was ready three hours after I dropped it off. (And even the dealership commented on how neat and professional their installation was.) I purchased a two mile radius auto start just over a year ago and have loved it. A few months back it started having issues with starting in that cold weather we had. Changing batteries didn't help so I had my car in several times to figure it out. They never charged me, they treated me with respect and kindness and never gave up until they got it working perfectly again, even in the coldest weather. Today I stopped in and was greeted by a real snob. Her attitude was off putting and doesn't make me want to go back. I politely asked if they could replace a key fob and she rolled her eyes then said "I've never carried viper brand, like ever." She actually rolled her eyes and went on chewing her thumb nail like it was above her to help me. I got it that they don't have the brand but treat a customer respectfully. Apologies to Dave and his crew for bringing my Toyota Matrix into them without cleaning the inside of the vehicle. It seems like I been living in that thing through the winter and haven't had a chance to clean it. So, they had to roll around in my McDonald's crumbs to install the autostart I chose. Perfectionist featured a deal on Groupon and I snagged one. That was back in December...in deep winter. Dave didn't bat an eye when I mentioned the autostart coupon even though he had worked his way through 500 installs for the Groupon already. In Alaska, autostarts are a necessity. Anyone who has sat in a cold car, in Alaska, waiting for the engine to thaw understands that you CAN do this, but it isn't pleasant. So, when I saw the deal for the autostart from Perfectionist, I jumped on the deal. I waited till two weeks before expiration because car electronics scare me. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of car electronics, but dealing with people who have my ignorance at their mercy is hard. The deal I had was for a basic autostart. Dave did upsell me on a more expensive, two-way model, but I was going to ask him about upgrading anyway. The whole process went without a hitch. He scheduled me for the day after I called. He had my vehicle back to me the same day. He explained all the details of the autostart and answered all our questions. They even vacuumed up the crumbs and rocks on the floor boards. I would consider going back to them for other services. I will probably have them install a line-in for my iPod or phone. Proceed with confidence to Perfectionist. read more

I had a bad experience with them. They charged me 500$ for my box en my truck en 160 for wires en 120 for instillation.the 3 hours later after I pick up my truck everything sounds great. Then out of the random I blow out my sub.i went back to shop.they said oh I'm sorry we wired your subs at two OHMS.but on the box it's said to wire them to 4 OHMS.then they tried to sell me some of there subs. I went en got better subs around town. So at the end of the day I wasted about 1200$$$. I hope this does not happen to anyone else. Will never go to this place again. read more

These guys are top notch. I bought a Groupon for the Drone auto remote start. They installed it quicker than expected, and they were extremely professional. When the remote start on my other vehicle stopped working, I brought it into them to have a look. I didn't have an appointment but they investigated it right away. Turns out the wiring had been cut when some engine work had been done. They replaced the wire and got everything working again. They didn't even charge me. As a licensed distributor for Audison, I was referred to them after having issues with my 5.1K amp. Although the amp was purchased in the lower 48, the Perfectionist team was able to assist me in getting my amp fixed thru my warranty. They never tried to sell me anything or "upcharge" me. They simply understood I needed help and they were more than willing to help. They kept me updated on the status of my amp as it was being shipped back to and fixed at the manufacturer. When I did get the amp back, the team was friendly and only charged me for the shipping costs. The treatment I received as a customer spending no money, shocked me. To start off, I got the Groupon for the $200 deal which was already a steal. I did some research and saw that Perfectionist was already getting solid reviews so there weren't any concerns like for some other Groupon deals. Then I procrastinated and waited till the last minute and couldn't get an appt. until after the Groupon deal expired. However, the lady was super awesome and let me use it then and just scheduled me for the appt. later on! I take my car in and while it took all day as informed (it made sense because it was super busy) everything was great. I walked in, dropped off my keys and was out in less than 5 mins. I picked my car up at closing time and everything worked out. On a good customer service level, they even put a bottle of water in my car as well which was pretty neat. Sorry to report such a bad review . I was getting a new , inexpensive radio installed in my 2012 Subaru. They had me in the schedule for the day to drop off at 09:00, I was told it would usually take until noon. Well, at 14:00 I went back to the shop to check on it. They said give us an hour or so. After that amount of time , I checked back into the shop. The man who was supposed to be working on it was at the front counter giving another customer a quote with another employee! He was caught red handed-not working on my job . He admitted it. No apology. Took over 30 more minutes. 9-15:30. Unacceptable! At least they could have told me the truth. read more

I bought a stereo from best buy, but didn't know how good they were with installations so I emailed perfectionist auto sound and security about getting my stereo installed and I'm glad I did! I went over and they made sure I had everything I needed for it to be installed then I made an appointment. I was able to pay for the installation before it was installed so that was pretty cool. If you want to get a stereo installed this place is the place to go! I think I'll go back for speakers or even a remote start! I highly reccomend this place. read more

I don't know how to type so I wont even begin to try to tell the story. Too long. Worst experience I have ever had in retail. (I'm talking about the install two years ago) So my Drone auto start stops working. Ok, I go there and some one tells me, "oh, yea Compustar took over" Then hands me a paper with a number on it. I call the number, put on hold for two hours. Next day, put on hold for three hours. I went to Compustar web sight and wrote three times. They never got back to me. I am way easy going and wanted to write this long ago but as a former small business owner I know stuff sometimes happens. I didn't buy my auto start from compustar. I was told they would send me a new one. Send to who? I am writing this money off, and going to another installer this week. read more

For Christmas my mom had purchased me an auto start from perfectionist. I called for an appt. in December and couldn't get in until the end of February, I was a little rattled by that, but the wait didn't matter at all. When I got to perfectionist, it was in and out in less than 5 min to drop my car off. They told me it would take until about 4 or 5 pm, but they got it done before 2pm! When I picked up my car, the guy at the front took me to my car, showed how it worked, and they had even cleaned the mess of my car out in the front!! Another thing that I really liked about this place is they call you to let you know if something is more expensive than you thought it was, just to let you know, instead of doing something without your permission and charging you without knowing. Bought a new (used) car, and set up an appointment (for 2 days later, as I was on a crunch for time, AWESOME) to get an auto start installed. I called the day before, and asked it was a big problem to have them install a CD player as well while I had the car there. No problem. Went in that night to choose my CD player (with the help of Lance), and asked if they could do a couple speakers too. No problem. Was able to leave my spare keys with the desk, and drop my car later that night. Picked it up the next day, everything looked good and is functioning as expected.
