I have been going to this establishment since they opened and have seen techs come and go. There is no original staff in there except an older lady. I was able to have two really good nail techs during this duration. Keep in mind that this nail salon opened between 2010-2011 to give reference for how long I've been a customer. I've been swamped with research papers and my friend is getting married tomorrow so I had to go to the nail shop today. When I walk in I don't see my regular tech and I'm like shoot what's today? Wednesday? I said oh Jo Jo isn't here. She doesn't work on Wednesdays. I really didn't want to take the chance in coming back in the morning because the wedding is at 10:30. The guy who manages the shop sends me to a lady who I later find out name is Kelly. Kelly asked me how I wanted my nails and I told her I'm going to a wedding so I want something simple so I'm gonna get French manicure on my hands and my feet. After Kelly lays the foundation for my nails she proceeds to start doing the white for the French tips. After two nails I asked her to stop because I could tell that it wasn't coming out good. I asked the lady sitting next to me. Am I tripping or does something look off about this? The lady in the chair next to me says yeah she needs to round it a little more. So after a little while trying to fix it Kelly just couldn't get it together and I asked her to just take the white off and I just had her to put a clear glitter polish over the nude base. It wasn't what I wanted, but it would do. My issue comes in when I get the pedicure. When I get the pedicure, Kelly proceeds to immediately start doing a half a** job. I don't if she's tired, irritated because she'll now be pad less since French manicure is more and I'm no longer getting it on my hands or feet. She's rushing, she's not handling my feet with care at all. I noticed that she had proceeded going to a step that I know is after a step she didn't do in the pedicure process. So I say, hey you're not going to clean around my toes? you're not gonna clean my cuticles? She then proceeds to start that process and now I'm a little taken aback. She also didn't do a great job at that either because when she polished my toes, my toes still look like they need to be cleaned up a little more. So at this point, I asked for the guy who's managing the shop. He act like he doesn't wanna come over and assist her. I let him know that I'm not happy with the service that I received. He says he doesn't see an issue when every other customer in there is saying that, yeah, this doesn't look how it should look. There was nothing professional looking about my feet. I've been getting pedicures since I was 13 and I'm 38! I get pedicures every 2-3 weeks all year round. So I just sucked it up and said this will be my last time at this establishment. I do not suggest anybody to go here. After 15-16 years it's time to find a new place. Even though this place is being run into the ground I still was loyal. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Good price but lackluster service. I called in advance to see if they take walk ins for a gel pedicure. They did and I arrived within 15min. The shop is a decent size. I was immediately brought to a chair. I was serviced by a man but never got his name. He wasn't very friendly or engaging. He immediatley began the pedicure without asking me anything about how I wanted it done. I had previous clear polish on my toes. When I asked him to take it off he replied that it was already off without him ever applying nail polish remover. He cut my nails short before I could even tell him I didnt want them cut. He rushed through the job and kept banging the gel light on my toes when they were drying so he had to redo a nail at the end. He also made the french part extremely skinny and uneven. The shape is never even, smooth, or neat, they are rude, smart at the mouth for no reason and obviously talk sh** about their customers in another language. If you don't say anything they will let your nails look like trash AND WHEN YOU DO say something they get mad, attempt to fix it but it's obvious they have subpar skills to do so and then they charge you whatever they want to! I will never go back here and sad to say, hardly any of the nail shops in Southeast are able to do nails in a way that even looks half way decent. I will be traveling to somewhere in Maryland from now on and it's sad that I have to go so far to get my nails done when I live in this community. One word, Horrible, I got acrylics in my two big toes done, and a simple toes painting which was so not well done, they were very rude and really mean, and they charged me $50, even though they told me it would cost $40 before I did it, I paid with cash, and they refused to give me the 10% discount they claim to give if you pay with cash. 2 stars is generous, but I didn't have the heart to give only one. This salon is packed with chairs and stations. You literally have to trim sideways to walk from the front to the back of the shop. Lots of nail techs when I was there, but most of them were busy watching videos on their phones and they weren't at all interested in talking to their customers. And definitely weren't interested in cleaning this salon, either, although it desperately needs a good cleaning. I'm not sure how clean their nail tools are, either. I'm half afraid I'll get some kind of foot fungus from getting a pedicure there. Let me start by saying. I know better than to venture into any establishment on this side of town. Its in the hood, so my expectations were already low. I came to this ghetto hellhole after leaving my credit union across the street. I had some hair to do and really needed my nails cut down. My usual nail spa didnt open for another hour, so i decided to stop here to get a quick simple service. First observation, the place was filthy. Pedicure bowls and chairs were nasty and so was the floors. I figured since i was only getting a fill in, i could ignore the dirt around me. Nail tech was an older woman, i didnt catch her name. Service was horrible from beginning to end. My nails were cut and filed so unevenly that it looked like a child did it. She started the fill in by bulking the acrylic on my nails. I begged her to stop. She then got angry when i pointed out that all my nails were crooked and cut crazy. She attempted to fix it and made it worse. To make her feel better, i offered to file them down myself to get the desired neat even look. She threw the nail emery board and literally yelled $30. Im still calm at this point and said yes, i know. As she is painting my nails, i immediately realize the color is not what I'd picked but i went ahead just so she could finish. The polish was sloppy and uneven on all my fingers, but the worse was my thumbs which i asked her to do over. She agreed it was bad, then starts speaking in her language to others in the shop. The remainder of our interaction she kept talking to her fellow co workers and kept using the cuticle remover tool to pinch my fingers. Needless to say, i finally told her that i was really displeased with the unprofessional service and wanted to talk to her manager. I gave her $20 and asked that my nails be fixed in order for her to get the remaining $10. She said no and went to the manager. I followed her to meet him and before i could even explain the guy is like " u have to pay. Must pay". I agreed and said "sure but im not satisfied with the work and ur employee was very unprofessional. I would like the nails fixed by someone else since she refused". This man stood up and started screaming at me in his language. He grabbed the phone and said hes calling the police. I told him okay and let him know I'd wait for them to arrive. Meanwhile, the Asian ladies kept coming over to me frowning and throwing water on the ground in front of the shop trying to be intimidating? Once the police got there i explained the situation. The police women completely sympathized and explained that this is something that happens all the time at this business. She explained that i had to pay or go to jail. I said the money isnt an issue, i just wanted to leave satisfied and wanted my nails fixed. The rude manager came back outside to say yeah i will fix but u will wait 3 hours. By this point, I'd had enough and just left. This experience is just a reminder of how people come into minority communities, take their money and then treat the patrons like garbage. I understand that they are dealing with a sometimes difficult population, but we all are not the same and deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism. I STRONGLY discourage anyone from going to this disgusting place. They have no desire to provide "perfect" nails. They are there to rob the people of this community by providing low quality services while getting rich. BEWARE! read more

So today I went there because I have been needing to get my nails done.I did the combo because I previously had ask how much a full set would cost and the shape apparently determined the price seeing as he asked and said coffin would be 27-30 dollars.So I decided on the set but instead of forty like the window said it ended up being 55 because I wanted gel on my hands.False Advertisement but I still went with it anyways my hands were done pretty decently but my feet are pretty bad.She went incredibly deep in to my nail to get my ingrown toe and it still hurts about 3/4 hours after she cut my toes mediocre seeing as there is still nail left didn't paint some toes right and got paint on my skin too. Don't ever take a cat, for a walk in this shop, because he is going down! Sitting and watching the customers and the workers, both are equally bad. They Turn Up in a bad way. Nail shop is for relaxing and feeling as if you, were taken away. Not in here, nobody has a babysitter. This place is definitely growing on me! Only been here about 3 times and the last two times I seen the same girl! She do everything for me! I'm guessing you have to find one that do the work you like and stick with them! She did my lashes the last time I was here and did exactly what I asked her to do :) I had stopped going to "mom and pop" nail salons to get my lashes done, because I hated the fact that they used so much glue and my eyes would look like they had fans on! She made my lashes look natural and saved me over a $100 (I usually pay $125 and up for this look at a "upscale" nail salon) they lasted about 3weeks, maybe could've lasted longer, I took them off! PLUS I can't beat the $40 special for full set, pedi and eye brow arch) my brows has a natural arch so I usually only need a clean up! And they pedicure and full set always last and looks neat! I walked through the door and a strong smell of chemicals hit me like a ton of bricks. There's not enough ventilation in this place but I wanted to get my nails done so I went in anyway a decided to get a mask. Big mistake! I was going to be seated next to a lady that was Face Timing loudly while getting her smelly acrylic nails done. I asked the nail technician for her name and this customer next to me answered for her, telling me the technician's name is Kim. I asked this customer if she worked here and unfortunately, my question offended her. She became loud and obnoxious and said that I should leave if I can't take the smell or wear a mask. She also said, this is Kim's station and she's not going to move. I wanted a quiet spot so I ignored her and asked the nail technician to move me because of the chemical smell and I obviously did not want to sit next to this person. This loud woman kept talking and tried to antagonize me. She even became racial and asked me if I was black. I asked her why does that matter. Everyone could hear her. It was really a surreal ghetto moment. The manager should have taken control of the situation but he/she didn't and allowed this person to behave like a bully towards another customer. The technician did move me all the way to the back and I showed my gratitude by giving her $10 before she finished her job, I thought this tip would motivate her to do a good job....And now to the gel nails - the technician was in a rush working with no lamp to really see her work. She didn't use enough acetone to take the old polish off so she used an electric sander to remove my polish instead, which is terrible for nails. The UV light doesn't work well so she kept asking me to raise my thumb up so it would dry properly. She was rough on my fingers and cuticles. My nails look like they took some abuse. Been going to this place since they came to the shopping center. I come here by myself and with my family on numerous occasions. TODAY was awful!!!!! Anthony was my nail technician. He has a funny personality and loves to joke around. ALL the previous times that I have been here, I've picked my color off a nail wheel with numbers on it. I usually pick the number and they bring the matching polish to me. TODAY Anthony passed me a wheel then told me no I would have to get up and go to some wall I NEVER noticed before today. Because his personality I thought he was playing. He wasn't. The wall was full of old polish that hadn't been used in forever. I end up having to leave and purchase some nail polish and come back. I made Anthony put my polish on. Then he tried and explain why I had to go to the wall while no other guest had to. I wasn't here for it. Told him to kindly get out my face for his safety. I don't know how this place got more then one star but they deserve a lot less. I'm sitting in here right now waiting on them the do my teenage daughter nails again. Came in here three days ago for my daughter to get her nails done for her prom. And the same day two nails fell off. One fell off while she was at prom and other two came off while she was washing her face. I had enough. We came in and told them that it's only been three days and her whole right hand has no nails on it. I brought my receipt as well. I was told that if two or three nail fell off, they could fix it but five nails mean that my daughter must have been sucking on all her fingers. (Ugh, really!!!) My daughter doesn't suck her fingers and she's been getting her nails done for years and we never had any issues with nail coming off a whole hand. Maybe one or two but not five! I was determined to stay until someone fixed her hand or I would have wasted my money. After they saw I wasn't leaving. They told me to have a seat. FURTHERMORE : After ten minutes they're done with redoing her nails. The nails are not the same size. Some are big. Some are short. They didn't even ask her to wash her hand like they usually do when getting fake nails done. I'm will not come back here. I rather pay a few more bucks for quality. read more

This Nail salon is very unprofessional, crowed with over 50 people inside at once during a pandemic and also very poor customer service. I am currently 9 months pregnant I expect to have good customer and a clean environment when I'm paying for a service with my hard earned money but this chop shop really left a bad taste in my mouth. While I was getting my nails done I was completely rushed and dissatisfied with my nails. I told the nail tech Selena that I didn't like the color she grabbed my hand roughly to wipe the polish after she already cut my finger. I wouldn't recommend ever coming to this salon. When I asked to speak with whosever in charge but the manger left 2 hours before closing, I then asked for a number I can reach him at which they refused to give me because "it's nothing he can do". It's disappointing I've been coming to this nail salon for years and each year they have gone down hill. I can tell the are in it for the money and not to satisfy customers doing what they love. If I'm being honest my review goes to one of their nail techs and not the entire salon. MiMi is great. She always looks out for me. She's the only person that does liquid gel builder overlays. The majority of the other techs had no idea what I was referring to when I asked if it was a service they provide. And they always come out perfect. I've also started going to MiMi for eye lash extensions. I get the single lash extension for $25. For the price it's worth every penny. I receive so many compliments on my nails and lashes. She's never done my pedicures. Which isn't as big of a deal. But I don't normally enjoy the service of pedicures from the other nail techs. But because they have such a jewel in their salon in MiMi I don't even feel like I need to take any stars away for the less than satisfactory pedicure. I don't see myself going to any other nail salons anytime soon. read more
