And once I found one, I asked her for the number to her salon. It turned out that she went to Terry's Place (even though I met her in Troy). So for the past several months I've been going to Terry's for both the hair salon and lashes. As a bit of background: my hair is not relaxed, but I do use a semi-permanent color. I go to Terry's about once a month for a deep conditioner, color, trim, and press (blow dry/flatiron). I do my own maintenance between appointments. Jo, the stylist who does my hair, does an amazing job. And (this is crucial) he gets me in and out in a couple of hours. None of that sitting around all day, which is important to me since I only have time to go on the weekends. His prices are also affordable, especially for the quality of service that he provides. And I am almost always (really) late to my appointment, and he is always forgiving and accommodating. During the downtime in my hair appointment, I've started getting my lashes done (the lash salon is a semiprivate room connected to the salon). Hands down, I've never had a better, more professional, or as natural-looking application of lashes. The outcome is usually flawless (though I am not) and I've always walked out of the door a happy customer.

I'm from Southern California where eyebrow threading places were everywhere, some women even did it in their own homes. I've had a bit of trouble finding a new eyebrow artist since I came to Michigan, as my skin is too sensitive for waxing (plus I'm a baby with no pain threshold). I decided to give this place a shot since my brows were a disaster and it was close by. Usha was quick to welcome me and get me seated. The back area and waiting room were really clean and simple. We talked a bit about how I wanted my brows, not too thick or thin. To be honest I just want them to look "natural and pretty", and I don't necessarily know what shape or arch that entails so I honestly just left it up to Usha LOL. She made me feel like a million bucks, I love my brows so much. Plus I have to say that she was by far the most gentle threader I've ever had - I was hardly tearing up and I ALWAYS do. Some places I look I legit cried. She was really quick but my brows don't look bad or misshapen at all! And no stray hairs or skin nicks either! I've even had places accidentally yank out an eyelash (OUCH), but not here! I also appreciate that she has a stamp card that you can stamp every time you come in.
