While they didn't have what I needed for this weird shaped/sized poster he's got, she did have some great suggestions and also offered custom framing as an option. We soon got down to business for the party, and the gentleman by the registers walked us up and down the aisles to get exactly what we needed, and even gave cost-saving options for some stuff. When it was time to check out, he set up my daughter's account and made sure she was getting all the available discounts. Blick is a great store that knows their stuff inside out, and sincerely wants to help with your arts and crafts needs!

We have gotten our artwork framed at Art Accents for over 40 years. And we are STILL getting things…read moreframed there, as Mary is wonderful, creative, accommodating, and reasonably priced. We've framed watercolors, photos, stone-signed prints, and even posters. The frame for a poster will cost more than the poster, of course, but she then makes our stuff look like top-notch art. This technicality of the item being delivered outside of the return city, manipulated by this defendant, caused ebay to be unable to refund, and we are now preparing litigation beyond a chargeback to make this defendant regret his decision to steal. His employees, his wife & 3 sons may all be liable and part of their criminal conspiracy. Do not do business with this framing business. If they refund, this review will be revised to reflect the resolution.

When we brought our inexpensive piece in, we were met with disgust and condescension by one of the employees. After bringing up the less than stellar customer service moment with management, they were quite nice and apologetic. Their response was great because we did spend over $1,000 to have our, I guess, substandard artwork-at least in the eyes of their "curator"- stretched to hang in our home. The only notebooks in here are the same low-end rebranded Chinese stuff you find at big box stores like Barnes & Noble or overrated Moleskine crap that's everywhere. If you want "the good stuff" like Tomoe River, Rhodia, Midori, Mnemosyne, Clairefontaine, etc. paper and notebooks you'll have to just buy it online because they don't carry it.

However, I've noticed a consistent pattern that's made me increasingly uncomfortable. Each time we're in the store, the staff behaves as if we're being watched closely--asking if we want items held at the counter or having an employee follow us under the pretense of folding shirts while we browse. I've spent over $100 here so far and don't appreciate being treated with suspicion. Having worked in retail myself, I'm familiar with the signs of someone being monitored because they're assumed to be stealing, and that's how it feels every time I shop here. I really like the shop's selection--especially the Jellycats--but there are other local stores that carry similar products. I'm willing to give the shop one more chance, but if I experience this same treatment again, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
