I thought my roof had been damaged by the freeze and called her office. Her staff recommended Corbin Stevens at pristine roofing. He came out and said I had Hail damage, I filled a claim and it was approved. Corbin did my roof and I paid him the money I received from Farmers plus my deductible. I took a closer look at the estimate and realized that I had been paid for screens and also to have the drip edge replaced, Corbin did not do either of those but took the money for it. He eventually gave me the money back for the screens, but still continued to say he didn't owe me anything. Here's where things went south with Jenny, I reached out to her office for help and went there to meet with Travon and showed him the estimate and my contract with Pristine roofing. He said he would get with Jenny and let me know. He called the next day and told me that Corbin's mother was a personal friend of Jenny's and that Corbin told her he did not owe me any money and that it was my word against his even though we all agreed he did not do all the work he was paid for. I made several attempts to have Jenny call me and she would not. I had to contact the district manager for help, which he was able get my money back. I asked Travon if they were going to continue to use Pristine roofing and he said yes that his mother was a personnel friend of Jenny's and they only had one complaint. How many times do you have to steal from a customer before you are no longer used. I changed agents, very unhappy. Tom Chronister

With a charmingly disheveled office, complimentary Cokes and bubble gum, and a loud radio tuned to…read moreTexas's best country music, Doc's Auto Insurance seems welcoming, comforting, and homey upon entering. Don't let this superficial bait fool you. Doc's is the worst. Service is primitive, slow, disorganized, incompetent, and expensive. Nothing was explained to me, I was not offered options (such as automatic payment), I was treated like a moron, disrespected, and feel like I was definitely taken advantage of. I was pressured to sign a bunch of papers quickly without being told what they were, and was even discouraged from reading through them when I insisted. The man who helped me had a disconcerting, conniving sneer about his face that made me feel very uncomfortable, and he spelled my name wrong and wrote my address wrong on my documents. The agency claims to search far and wide for the best deals out there, so I went with them because I was in a hurry to register my car before the business day's end. Within a week, I got several better quotes from other agencies that serve more insurance companies, switched to one that will instantly save me money despite the $60 nonrefundable down payment I made to Doc's, where employees were smart and nice, straightforward and honest. Doc's is very old school and does not use phones or the internet: Just as they require customers to travel to the office in order to make monthly payments, I had to make a trip up there to sign cancellation papers. The sneering man who signed me up in the first place was very childish about it, arguing with my reasons for canceling, snapping, "you're the one that got mad!" and confirming my desire never ever to step foot in Doc's Auto Insurance offices again.
