Bel and the team at Heaton Bennett did an awesome job finding coverage for my niche business. I was in a rush to bind a new policy and needed the usual rush on a COI as well. Bel was super helpful and the COI support staff were proactive and helpful a well. It's been a while since I've received a "concierge" level of service and it's great to know Heaton Bennett is willing/able to be that kind of partner. Highly recommend this team. read more

I called Progressive for an area agent, because one of the three policies that I was looking to move over from State Farm required an agent. Ray, and unusual man, picked up the phone. I told him exactly what I was looking for, and in all honesty, he acted like a total scam artist with regards to fees that they charge outside of the actual insurance cost I wanted a quote on from Progressive. He was very rude, and again, oddly dishonest. You should run from these kind of people. read more

Auto Insurance. I have recently signed up with Heaton Bennett Insurance, for an auto insurance policy. I am so impressed with the service I received and the low rates they applied to me policy. Over the years of communicating with Auto Ins. Companies, I have never had such a rapid response and answering to my needs. I am hoping to be able to stay connected with them for a long time. My dealings with the agent Phillipp Garcia could not have been better. William Armitage. Texas. read more

I honestly wouldn't use them again, I've had random unsolicited calls and emails from them since. If you value your privacy and don't like people randomly asking you for reviews I would stay far far away. Edit: Heaton Bennett has assured me this wont happen again. Will revisit this in time. read more

Raina & Cyan have been incredibly helpful in the complicated task of getting coverage for a commercial condo policy. The lack of carriers issuing this type of insurance for properties as old as mine in NW Central Austin is incredibly frustrating, but they proved up to the task. They are thoroughly researching all of our options and doing a great job with follow up and communication. I highly recommend them for any of your insurance needs. read more

Francesca was amazing & very helpful. Highly recomend! Very responsive to my requests & reviews of my coverage. read more

Be warned, they will withhold information, lie to you about your policy, change your policy manager to an "at home" manager, and mislead you! We gave this company a second chance after a 10 year pause, and still the same, a bunch of bald faced lies. Cyan, you don't want this woman managing your policy.... they are super nice, but no where near transparent of truthful! read more

The first year I used this company for my business policies I was pretty happy with the customer service. Everything was handled fairly easily and quickly. But since then I was handed off to a different agent and when it came time to renew, what a nightmare. Leading up to expiration I was contacted at least once a day. After explaining to the new agent that I needed to wait on a client contract renewal before making insurance decisions I assumed the messages would stop. However I received reminders at least daily, if not more than once a day. When I expressed annoyance I was told the reminders were automatic. No attempt was made to adjust. Over a month ago I reached out and informed them the client contract was complete and I was ready to renew. I also told them the new contract with my client wasn't final until they received my certificate of insurance. I reached out two more time via email to no response and finally called to complain. I was told, "Don't worry, we'll have something by the end of the week!" That was a week ago. Still waiting for that phone call. Four days ago I contacted another local broker. I just finished signing a new insurance deal with them and my client already has the COI. Still nothing from Heaton Bennett. Maybe this review will finally get me a response. Too late! P.S. the new insurance broker found me a MUCH better deal on an apples to apples policy, so now I also know I paid too much for what would become terrible service. read more

I have spent HOURS trying to arrange a simple call to go over my policies. I have repeatedly asked that Vickie send me a calendar invite so that I could put it on my schedule. Finally, on about the fifth attempt, she sent me a calendar invite for a call for 3:30 pm today. To my frustration, Nancy Heaton messaged me this morning saying that I "opted out" of the call, which is 100% false. I called to try to speak with Nancy, but she was busy. The internal communication at Heaton Bennett is horrible. I do not like to leave negative reviews, but I figure this is the last resort. We'll see if they can correct their own communications and whether they can get their act together for our call at 3:30. read more

I moved out here and had to get new car and insurance since my previous broken couldn't insure out of state. After calling Rick Johnson, he was able to help me and has been very responsive every time I have reached out to him. Not only that, he got me some super great rates. Definitely a great change compared to my last insurance. I recommended my father to contact him for insurance, and he ended up getting insurance from him too! Thanks Rick! read more

All of the insurance agents at Heaton Bennett that have ever assisted me have always been very courteous, knowledgeable, professional, genuine and just great overall at providing an excellent customer service experience. I couldn't possibly give them enough praise. Also, they're very good at what they do, finding their clients the best possible provider with the exact coverage they need for very reasonable, competitive rates. My wife and I have been going through Heaton Bennett for all of our auto and home insurance needs for over 5 years. We only wish we had discovered them sooner. Most recently, Jose Contreras assisted me with starting an auto policy for my newly purchased Honda Civic. He was outstanding. He found me the coverage I wanted from a provider I trust at a rate I was willing to pay. I had an electronic copy of my new insurance card within 1-2 hours, tops. Take a few minutes and have them run some free quotes for you. Odds are, you'll want these guys to be your insurance agents, too. 100% Satisfied in Every Way! Michael W. Austin, TX read more

So helpful! Matt was INSANELY helpful during the process of choosing a policy for my business. I told him a quote I had from another company, which was actually much cheaper, and he took a look at it and explained in GREAT detail WHY this one was cheaper than his. In the end, I went with the more expensive option, with HB, because the reasons explained made it completely justified. This is one of those weird things where you really never want to have to deal with them, because it usually means there is a problem (i.e.: insurance claim involved!) but if and when there is, I am happy to have them as my team! Matt was also insanely friendly when I went to the office to sign my paperwork- even invited me to join their tailgates, as I explained I was new to Austin and lived somewhat near the stadium. I actually just received a handwritten letter form them yesterday reminding me that they had our backs and to please reach out if we ever needed anything. We'll likely be with HBI until our business is no longer around, or until we relocate (if ever!) Thanks guys! read more

Marty was extremely helpful when getting a new quote for my rental property in Austin. She has answered my countless questions even though I asked some of them twice. She has come up with not only a better coverage but the best price at the same time, beating out 5 other agents I was working with! Her replies were prompt, her actual bill matched her original quote and the process was very easy! The associate who helped me was Kelli Bohnert. She was very helpful in explaining the contract needed for liability insurance. She put everything into layman's terms, because let's face it, I didn't study contracts in school. She is extremely kind and made herself available. I cannot recommend Mike Bando enough! I'd been with Allstate for 7 years and they unexpectedly jumped rates. After talking to them and realizing they were unwilling to help me figure out a solution, I called Mike. He found several options that were more affordable than my previous policy. He walked me through all of the options of those policies and showed me where I was under insured. He gave me WAY better insurance than I had before at a WAY better rate. Any time I've had a question he has answered it immediately. After the service and attentiveness I received, I now recommend him to all of my real estate clients. Other agents in my office recommend him as well! If you're unhappy with your current insurance coverage (or even if you think your coverage is ok) do yourself a favor and call Mike Bando! read more

I contacted Mike Bando about a quote for my car insurance policy that was up for renewal. He explained how Heaton Bennett works and I decided to let him quote it out. I wasn't expecting much as I had already contacted all the major carriers, so I was floored when he returned a quote that was $840/year lower than I had been paying for the exact same coverages. I don't know how he was able to do it because I had contact this carrier myself and was given a much higher quote. All I know is that I learned my lesson, that from now on I need to let professionals do what they do best. A $70/month drop in our rate is a substantial budget helper. We're VERY please with our experience with Heaton Bennett Insurance and I have already sent a referral over. Thank you so much! read more

I checked out roughly 4 insurance companies when considering commercial insurance. These people gave me the best service, the quickest service, and the lowest price. This is a no BS, straight shooting agency. Our security company was properly advised on our general and professional liability coverages. Ross completely underlined all the ifs, ands, or buts about our policy, not leaving any part out. Awesome customer service. I used Anderson Insurance Partners as my insurance agent for the last 4 years. We had to relocate to Houston and so now are looking for someone else since Houston is hurricane prone. :( But back to AIP, they were always happy to run quotes for different insurance companies and got me the best deal for the coverage I wanted. We had one auto claim and it was handled swiftly with a minimum of hassle (there is always a hassle when you have to drop your car off at a body shop, but everything was set up when we got there, the work was done ontime, the check was cut immediately, and I was pleased with the results). Even though my home and vehicles have been insured with different insurance companies over the years, I have always been extremely satisfied with Kelly & Kodi's work in terms of quick response, walking me through anything I didn't understand, ability to work efficiently over email or phone and trust that they knew what they were doing and would get me the best deal. Definitely check them out. You won't regret it. There is no substitute for good customer service, especially these days! read more
