From the start, Matthew sold us the wrong insurance policies for our short-term rentals. They sold us one with Steadily, only for us to receive a notice of cancellation just a month later because, surprise, they don't insure the type of properties we own! To make matters worse, they sold us a policy for our primary residence from a company called Sagesure. We found out after we paid in full that Sagesure was going to require an in depth inspection of our entire home inside and out! This was not communicated upfront, and we felt pressured to pay in full immediately even though they weren't set to start for 2 weeks. We expressed our concerns to our broker about the inspections and the rush to pay, but our feedback fell on deaf ears. This entire process felt deceptive and quite unprofessional. We trusted this agency to guide us through an important decision, and instead, we were left confused and dissatisfied. I closed on a house with insurance paid through Escrow which means a title company paid them. Steadily received payment through certified mail at the proper address but lost the check twice. We worked with them several times to try to resolve the issue then they cancelled our insurance policy. I had to make the payment with my credit card then sign an affidavit of no-loss so they could reissue the insurance. On top of that the insurance was scheduled to start weeks before we closed which they didn't correct. Here are things I liked: quoting process, responsiveness of Customer Service. Here are thing I dislike: payment process, online portal. My bank submitted payment on 2 policies. A few weeks later I received a NOC for nonpayment. One check had cleared already, and the other was lost due to a "system glitch" from Steadily. I escalated to Steadily and got one policy in force. The other has a "paid" status, and yet the system shows it's still cancelled. If I hadn't escalated these issues, I'm sure both of my policies would simply have been cancelled, even though payment had been properly sent. I still am waiting confirmation which is frustrating. read more
