I scanned the original paper transcript and OCR'd it myself for less than $8 bucks... M&M Reporting is a perfect example of doing shady business.

For example, in one hearing I specifically told them in advance that the hearing was to be conducted remotely via Zoom, but the reporter showed up in person anyway against my specific instructions. They then demanded an additional $792 for the personal appearance. They also demanded an additional $535 for a copy of the transcript. There are far better reporting firms who do not engage in this kind of behavior.

I want to point out something really suspicious about CalDepo to add to my earlier review. I…read morenoticed that CalDepo had several one star review about a year ago. Then, between 10 and 11 months ago they 18 reviews with 5 stars. 18! In one month when they've gone years with no reviews. I looked up each of those reviews. None of them were from lawyers. All but one of them were made by persons very near CalDepo's location in Covina. For many of them, it was their first review. I am sorry to say, there is something very suspicious about this company. I forgot to add in my earlier review that Marissa at CalDepo did not know the court reporter's correct name although she said she was "theirs." Something is awry. UPDATE: After posting the above, I received an email stating that the Cal Depo owner Jamie Kirk "Will be going to the State Bar" about me. Wouldn't you think he'd call first? Perhaps that's for the best so I can bring this to their attention. This matter arose from a 15 minute hearing in which the court reporter was there to take down a later hearing!! CalDepo apologized after the hearing for not having a court reporter there but I completely understood and told them I got somebody else. Update: This matter with CalDepo is an absolute nightmare. If you will notice, Jaimie from CalDepo makes the same threats against anyone who dares give a poor review. His purported recount is not true. I asked for paperwork showing that they retained the court reporter at issue and he refused saying "that's not how this works." I asked for proof of payment t to the court reporter and agreed to reimburse CalDepo for that payment. They refuse to provide that information. I've been practicing for 35 years and never had any issues with a court reporter service. I feel this a shakedown by Cal Depo but it is causing me terrible distress.
