At the beginning of conversation while deciding whether I would go with them everyone was attentive. Once I signed and when I would call to see where I stood with the case or to update them of my doctors visits or to see what I should do next I was met with sighs as if I was disturbing them. Attorney Amanda was fine until my check did not come in mail. When I asked if they received their payment I was told they had received it about two weeks prior. I emailed Amanda and her response was unprofessional and unconcerning. Her response (copied and pasted): Hi Ronnique, My office does not have answers for you - and I know that's a very frustrating feeling. We are not the party that writes or controls the checks that get mailed to you. We do not have any information to give you other than "we are looking into it for you." I found this statement to be disrespectful and inappropriate. You're my attorney. If not you then who should have answers for me?So I called the appropriate people to get information and passed that information to Invictus which got the ball rolling. I received my payment weeks after my attorney received theirs. If I wouldn't have followed up myself it would have been longer. There's no accountability for not following up with their client. The point is that after receiving their payment they were clearly not concerned with me and my needs. Being in this situation is stressful enough. To have my attorney and her team be so nonchalant about pain and suffering is heartbreaking. It makes me wonder if I was represented correctly. If my best interest was considered. OK!!! Who does this in Orange County in today's world? I was referred to Amanda by someone that knows her professionally. This case is not mine rather for a family member who will pass away soon and is in the midst of a workers comp case. His law firm is across town.
