This is a well established local restaurant. The service, staff and restaurant itself are all lovely.
We visited back in the summer, but never got around to finish my review, so i am posting it now.
Unfortunately the vegetarian food on offer was bland and underwhelming. My husband thought his king prawn pasta was okay but nothing special.
We had decided to try the restaurant as during lockdown, they were serving freshly made amazing pizzas for collection (and we thought these were the best pizzas we ever had!). Unfortunately the restaurant doesn't do pizzas due to the small space available in the kitchen and this was just an opportunity they had during lockdown when the dinning room was closed.
I would give this place a try on another on occasion but on our visit, we felt the food was under seasoned and lacked on flavour profiles. The parmegianna just had tomato passata as a sauce, which is a shame tbh!. The bread was too dry, the tomatoes were not salted, the mozzarella was just average quality (a buffala would have been more suited for the price point!),...
As this is an independent, local restaurant I will be giving it another try in the near future in hope of having a better culinary experience. I do think people should try it nonetheless, they may find it more enjoyable (we all have different tastes after all ). read more
