The omelet was decent-I prefer my ingredients inside the omelet and this restaurant serves the ingredients on top, so it's a preference thing. There are some 30 samples, but you really need to pick and chose what you want, since you aren't going to try more than about 4 with the girl looking at you like she wants you to leave so she can get back to her phone. With that said, their most popular - the prime rib - was solid good. Original traditional was all right. Mango Habanero was just exactly a mango habanero taste. I didn't have the heart to ask for any more samples, and was pretty happy with the prime rib, so was going to get a pack... but for the size and the price. While good, it wasn't that good. I think if the customer service had been friendlier, and if she had offered better suggestions, I would have walked out with the more exotic tasting jerkys. It's my busiest time of year at work. So, when my wife decided to take the kids to the Dells, I…read moreknew I wasn't going to be joining. Knowing that I love jerky, and not fully understanding how busy I was, my son called mr from outside the Dells House of Jerky to tell me everything he got, and ask if I wanted him to go back for more. When everyone got home, my son proudly told me all about all the jerky he had bought. He had clearly been well educated by the staff-member who helped him at the Dells House of Jerky. Then, he broke out the Carolina Reaper jerky, and told me that the guy told him the heat was very muted, because they really wanted to showcase the pepper's flavor, not just the heat. I thought it was odd to use one of the hottest peppers known to man, and then tone down the heat, but my son had clearly paid a lot of attention to the man. So, I ripped off a big piece, and started chewing. At first, it wasn't very hot at all. Then, the heat hit me. My son was able to tell by the look on my face. He started laughing like crazy. Once he finally managed to regain his compusure, he told me with a huge smile that the guy never said the spice was muted. He said it was very hot, but that the heat didn't hit right away. This, a prank was born. Anyway, I tried the aforementioned Caroline Reaper, a standard beef jerky, an alligator jerky, and I think a boar jerky strip. Everything was absolutely excellent! Next time the family goes to the Dells, I'll probably come along just for the jerky.

The restaurant itself is cute as a button with the black and white checked flooring and cutsie decor. The front windows roll up to make for lovely open air dining on pleasant days. It's an order at the counter and they'll bring your food to you sort of set up. For my first breakfast here, I got their oatmeal which was fantastic. It was a hearty serving of oatmeal and had chia seeds, cinnamon, blueberries, strawberries, and banana on top. All the fruit was fresh, making for a wonderfully delicious breakfast. The coffee is also solid (though I can't recall what I ordered) and the service is friendly. Get to it!

When we stopped in, there were 2 staff, one working the coffee bar and the other on the ice cream, who were running around, serving food, making drinks, and constantly busy. It left us waiting to be serviced for around 10 minutes and when our food arrived, it was cold (likely from waiting for a server/coffee bartender to find a break to retrieve it). I ordered the french toast, which was good, cold but good, and a coffee, which I was okay with. My partner ordered the pork bowl, which arrived cold aside from the eggs in it. The prices here are reasonable, especially for the Dells, but I think Huckleberry's would be smart to have a few more hands on deck to ensure timely service.
