Everyone raved about the Red Velvet Strawberry ice cream cake. I purchased the large one along with 6 cupcakes that all went fast. I didn't know the cupcakes came in a chocolate shell. Everyone loved the ice cream birthday treats for my little ones second birthday. Great quality Readily available. I was going to order online, but they have these in the frozen to go section. Great customer service. I learned another thing today. Red Velvet is chocolate. I went with strawberry because I thought it would be okay for the one in our party allergic to chocolate. Not the case. Bummer. Will definitely choose this place again.

Spending a couple days in the Wisconsin Dells, we decided we wanted some dessert after an incredibly filling meal. There were 5 of us, 3 adults and 2 children under 8 y/o. What are you going to do to please everybody? We were just cruising around, trying to figure out where to stop when we ran across the Cold Stone shop. Cold Stone, on the surface, seems a bit pricey but when you see what you're getting it's all worth it!! 2 of us adults shared one cup of ice cream... chocolate with caramel and I forget what else. Perfect for the two of us! The kids both got their own cups of birthday cake flavor (or something like it. It was blue) with candy bar pieces. Unfortunately, their eyes were bigger than their stomachs and we, basically, ended up throwing away the equivalent of an entire dessert. My suggestion to everyone is... be sure you've got the room for those decadent, rich ice creams. Its very easy to over-do it!! Regardless, you'll enjoy it! Just a side note: I have diabetes and have to inject insulin, often in public. Most restaurants should, but don't, have sharps containers in the bathrooms for the safety of both the customers and employees. Will Cold Stone be the one to start the trend?

I have been using cold stone to buy cake for almost every occasion. I bought one back in June(strawberry one) of this year where I asked them to write on the cake for my bonus daughter. The writing on it looked hideous. Like hey, I'm paying about $30 for a cake and that's the best you can do?! I called them out on that on the spot and asked why it looks like that of someone else can write on it in a better writing, it looked like a 4 year old wrote on it. I bet even a 4 year old could do better. They said they don't have anyone else to write on it. Well this time, I placed the order (chocolate cake) ahead of time I specifically called to make sure they will have a professional to write on the cake. The girl says, "we're not professional, we're all learning and we won't learn if we make mistake". Cool. Totally get it. But let's not make that SAME mistake on my cake again. I went to pick up the cake(while carrying my 4 month old in the car seat) the man(who I'm pretty sure is the owner or a manager, asked my name for the order. He brought the cake out. I was honestly speechless and frustrated. It was even worse. I asked him,"who write on these cakes? Do you guys not have any professional doing it? I mean do you realize how expensive these cakes are comparing to retail stores or some bakeries. I specifically asked to have a professional do it this time but it looks hideous, can it be wiped off?" He looked guilty like he knew HE did it. He said "it can wiped off you can easily do it yourself." Okay so let me get this straight. You're gonna offer a service to your customer and can't even do it right? I also bought large size of cup of ice cream. He stuffed it so much that it overflown after having lid on. Instead of putting it in a separate bag, he put it on top of the cake. The whole ice cream melted from cup on my way to home and caused a big mess in my car. I'm just gonna say, if you can't do your job right, find another job. Don't waste people's money by telling them you can offer the service and do a job on it. I would have been find if they told me they can't write on the cake, period.

What a cute addition right smack on Broadway in the Dells…read more Stopped by here for coffee and breakfast on a recent trip to the Dells. The restaurant itself is cute as a button with the black and white checked flooring and cutsie decor. The front windows roll up to make for lovely open air dining on pleasant days. It's an order at the counter and they'll bring your food to you sort of set up. For my first breakfast here, I got their oatmeal which was fantastic. It was a hearty serving of oatmeal and had chia seeds, cinnamon, blueberries, strawberries, and banana on top. All the fruit was fresh, making for a wonderfully delicious breakfast. The coffee is also solid (though I can't recall what I ordered) and the service is friendly. Get to it!

Very cute place. Pretty good food. But given how busy the rush is here, there needs to be more…read morestaff on floor at a time. When we stopped in, there were 2 staff, one working the coffee bar and the other on the ice cream, who were running around, serving food, making drinks, and constantly busy. It left us waiting to be serviced for around 10 minutes and when our food arrived, it was cold (likely from waiting for a server/coffee bartender to find a break to retrieve it). I ordered the french toast, which was good, cold but good, and a coffee, which I was okay with. My partner ordered the pork bowl, which arrived cold aside from the eggs in it. The prices here are reasonable, especially for the Dells, but I think Huckleberry's would be smart to have a few more hands on deck to ensure timely service.

The place is absolutely enormous...I wonder how many tables they have. But at the same time once you're seated it doesn't feel too overwhelming. If you need a gluten-free meal, it feels a bit tough here. But both times I've eaten here I got the salmon dinner with a veggie side and mashed potatoes and that has worked well for me. The salmon is surprisingly pretty darn good and not overcooked. The broccoli has been alright, not great, and the mashed potatoes are yummy, very rich. I know there's a lot of places to eat at in the Dells and I'm sure they're all super busy depending on the season. Be sure to arrive early during the busy season, as there will be a pretty lengthy wait most likely.

The train that runs through the restaurant delivering food is a really fun touch and kept them entertained the whole meal. There's also an arcade on site, so it's easy to turn dinner into a bit of an outing. Food-wise, it's fine but nothing special. Our pizza was average -- not bad, just nothing you'd go out of your way for. The kids meal was exactly what you'd expect from a kids menu, no surprises there. Bottom line: go for the experience and the kids' entertainment, not for the food. If you've got little ones, they'll have a great time.
