This is a fun place. I was super excited to try it so I brought a couple of friends so I could get more sizzle. You order at the kiosk and pay at the kiosk, then they bring the food and drinks to your table. The people working there were very nice. They have a few complementary sauces at the table. The seating area is nice and open and has a good view of part of the plaza. We ordered a few drinks. They have some good flavors that are unusual and refreshing. We ordered the meal with two hamburger patties. It comes with curry sauce. When you pour in the sauce it gives you a lot of sizzle. The food was delicious but I think next time I will get the steak because it looked incredible. I also tried the chicken Karaage. I liked all the flavors and I think I would order the chicken again. The menu has a lot to offer and I am intrigued with the pastas. I will definitely be back in the future. Just a quick tip, I intentionally wore a shirt that was a darker color so that I didn't have to worry about the sizzling spattering my shirt. I am glad that I had the foresight but if you wear a lighter color, you will just have to sit back and wait a moment for the sizzle to stop but in my opinion, it is well worth it. Thank you for the delicious food and drinks.

We are rarely in the Riverton area but had heard about this place so after an exhausting visit to IKEA, we decided to try Pepper Lunch. The ambiance is that of a mall food court minus the mall. It is nice and comfortable enough. You order at a kiosk and they bring the food to your table. A concept that is more and more common these days that I have very mixed feelings about. Let's get my gripes out of the way first. It is expensive. Drinks are overpriced at 3.50 - 3.75 for a fountain or bottled drink. This seems to be the new norm and I absolutely refuse to buy in. I will be one of those weirdos that carries around a water bottle everywhere I go before I pay that much for soda. Also, they have Pepsi products instead of Coke. Ugh. Let's move on to the food. The options are a little overwhelming and could benefit from a bit more explanation and recommendations. The kiosk system is not my fave for this type of place for those reasons. I also don't love that they still want a full 20% tip for a not full service place. I will say that the service we did receive was fast and friendly. They do offer free refills on the expensive soda but you can't get it yourself. I ended up going with the hamburger and beef curry. The food came out very fast but was so hot I did have to wait a good 10 minutes before I could actually dig in without getting a 2nd degree burn in my mouth. The sizzling platter, while a fun concept does splatter hot liquid if you get too close so be careful. The hamburg steak was okay, nothing to write home about. The beef was quite good as was the onion. I just wished there was more of it. The curry sauce was tasty but I wished it was spicier. I really would have loved to add on some cheese and kimchi to this dish but add ons are another 2.00 each and it just didn't seem worth it on top of the already high cost. The food was fresh, good quality and reasonably tasty. I was really excited to try this place but I wasn't exactly blown away. If I'm in the area again, I may give it another shot and try something different but it's not something I'd go out of my way to get on the reg.

I really wanted to like this spot, really cool concept, but it fell flat for me. It's in a little shares space kind of like a food court. I got the pepper beef and it was bland, I constantly added the seasoning provided and maybe that's the point is you season it to taste. Cool presentation. You order off a touch screen and they deliver it to you sizzling hot and you stir everything together to cook it.

So happy to see Pepper Lunch in Utah! I liked being able to order yourself on the screen as it easily shows which items are customizable. I ordered the beef pepper rice and the beef aglio olio pasta. Both were very good. Since they come out on hot stone plates, it kept the food warm the whole time. The employees were nice and checked in a couple times.

This place has a cool idea--hot plates that cook your food right in front of you! My wife and I both got rice dishes, and they were so yummy and had a little bit of black pepper in them. The ordering was easy, and we got our food right away. There is ample seating now since there are only 2 restaurants in the space that used to have 4. (The Coffee shop and the chicken shop are not there anymore. Pepper Lunch took over the Ramen shop.) We can't wait to go back and try the noodle dishes and other things on the menu.

There's an ordering kiosk that makes it really easy to place your order. The food comes out sizzling and very quick. My favorite was the kimchi one, it had lots of flavor. The fries were also very good!

The food is excellent taste and quality. Service is friendly. The food is made to order, so expect 5-10 Minutes to get your food. The restaurant is in a food court like atmosphere.

    The kiosk where you order

Craving Japanese, I decided to stop in. When I walked in, I was told you have to order at the kiosk would've been nice if there was a sign posted instead of just being told. The place itself is cute, with a couple of other food spots inside, and it seemed family-friendly. As for the food: the salmon and shrimp were good, but the beef and chicken weren't for me. The beef tasted like the thin slices you'd get at a hot pot (which I personally can't stand). If you like hot pot, you might actually enjoy it--but I didn't. Overall, the food was just okay, nothing that makes me want to come back.

Really tasty, my only complaint is that its kind spendy for really just being meat and rice on a hot plate. I LOVE this kind of food but didn't feel like the price made sense. Service was good for over the counter, ambiance-wise this just sits in front of the mall so nothing really noteworthy about it.

So delicious! Great addition to a locale with not enough Asian food options. I love their curry sauce and always add mushrooms and onions.

So good! Love having a new spot that isn't a local chain. I hope they do well - the location seems to struggle.

A gentleman finally got up to go strike a match under someone's year end. The young female server comes over half grumpily with a slight wannabe smile, and takes our drink order. She brings most of the drinks fairly quickly. But doesn't even attempt to ask if we're ready to order and we've been there 25ish minutes waiting?! The grill across from us got sat after us and by the time she came back to see if we were ready to order, they were done with the show and eating. *InsertEyeRoll*. She took our orders, repeating them and went on her way and shortly returned with our soup and salad. A few more minutes go by just barely before our cook shows up. He gets asking about everyone's orders and meat preference. Awesome. He starts his show, as always... scrambled eggs and rice first right?! Unfortunately, out of 8 of us 7 ordered fried rice, one steamed. Server brought out steamed rice to the one, and cook dishes out 5 bowls of fried rice. Two of us question where our rice was. So they have to prep and cook in the kitchen. Like WTAF?! But whatever... Cook was good, but not overly funny. He didn't even use the funny oil peeing boy (IYKYK) which my 9yo old always gets excited about. Food was cooked just right IMO but server never came back to refill drinks or see if we needed anything. They don't have yum yum sauce it's something much runnier which was disappointing. After the cook was done, they were practically rushing us out, by picking up plates, offering boxes, and setting new clean dishwater near the grill. I'm glad that they are efficient, but where's my server? Where's my water & wine refill? For a Friday evening and NOT very busy, I was really bummed for how horrible our experience and service was. This is one of the best teppanyaki restaurants around. This server didn't do her job and our last 5 star experience turned to a 3 star and was underwhelming sadly.

Around 15 min later, some items were finally laid out and I got my tomato hot pot going. The buffet has lots of variety from vegetables to seafood when it was finally filled. I also had the bbq - bulgolgi chicken and beef. Both were sliced on the thicker side. Both tasted really good. Again, took forever to get that going. Even when I left at 12:40pm, there were only two items in the ready made food section and the rest of the trays were empty. Come here around 1PM for lunch. Hopefully dinner would not be a problem.
