Dinner with business team and we had a wonderful evening. Service was spot on, food was really good and the location is wonderful. Definitely coming back next time and brining my husband with me for a special meal.

Peploe's is in Dublin across from Stephen's Green. A stroll and dinner is my favorite. This spot sits down from street level offering an out of the way private vibe. The aesthetic is red with red lilies adorning every table. It has plush red booth seating. So comfortable. The staff was so nice, conversational and extremely attentive to every need. Service at Peploe's is exemplary because of the courteous staff! I would call this contemporary European cuisine. The dishes came out precise reflecting the high standards that have earned this spot its Michelin recognition. Shoutout to our artistically presented dishes. We had the tuna tartare appetizer, shrimp risotto, and fish if the day. Always fries for dessert because I'm savory and not sweet.

A newly open fine dining restaurant. Classic bistro/salon vibe decoration, relaxing lighting and background music, and comfortable seats. Located in the basement floor right next to St Stephen's Green. A very nice wine list included in the menu. Note the name is "pEPLOe'S", not "People's". In fact even their own website made the spelling mistake at the bottom of the page Reserved a table for myself on Saturday right at noon. Came in and found them just beginning to open. Receptionist initially showed the dinner menu by mistake, and had to switch to lunch menu later. Waitresses and the bartender also went on a bit of back and forth on which type of whiskey I wanted to get, but eventually the bartender was kind enough to have shown me the bottle to pinpoint which batch of Teeling Wonder of Woods they had. A bit of hiccup, but no big deal. For starter I had the duck confit. Presented as a flat cubicle, looked like a thick piece of spam, but tasted delicious. Nicely minced duck meat with delicate fiber texture, spot-on seasoning that brought up the rich taste of duck but not overly oily or fatty. The salad of watercress, chopped French green beans, vinaigrette, and a touch of foie gras combined to produce a refreshing, crunchy, veggie, and slightly citrus flavor that offset the gamey mouthfeel of the duck. Brioche was toasted nicely, crunchy enough to go with the moist and soft duck and salad, but not charred or overly dry. For entrée I had the seared sea bass with tomato panzanella and salsa verde. Sea bass fillet was done beautifully, seared and caramelized to a crips on the outside, while the inside was packed with steaming, creamy, and flaky fish fiber. Sea bass was on the lighter side of taste in terms of seafood, so the fillet was seasoned more liberally (attested by the tasty and savory fish skin), but the sweet-and-citrusy taste of assorted tomatoes, dandelion greens, and bread cubes did well to balance and offset the saltiness of the fish. I only wish the salsa verde could be applied more generously. Also ordered a fried onion rings as side dish. Freshly fried, piping hot and crunchy dough crust, juicy and sweet onion peels inside. Very nice. Overall: Using a more stringent standard for a high-end restaurant, this is 4-4.5 stars. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience.

IN THE MECHELIN GUIDE, NOT MICHELIN WORTHY. Uninspired dishes with severe lack of flavor. Duck Confit - nicely prepped but without esparagus and beet and very little sauce, just bland. Lacks serious complexity. Shrimp Scampi - breaded with what appears to be a beer batter or thick tempura. Very fishy. Sauce, bland and flavorless. Eggplant parm - light parm crust, stacked eggplant, vegetable forward, no seasoning detected. Lightly salted. TASTES LIKE ROASTED VEGGIE. (No ricotta, basil or pepper) Irish filet - overly fibrous cut, cooked nicely, no real seasoning of the eat, meat cuts difficultly. Not tender enough to feel like a great filet. Potatoes deep fried (no seasoning) and brisket disk very misplaced. Atmosphere : dressy but casual. Long wall lined booths and nice lighting. Very friendly staff. Price: $$

Food was excellent. Everything we tried was delicious. Central location and relaxing ambiance. But be careful to check your bill all -- we were incorrectly charged for an additional person (we only had 2 people at our table). Also, there are lots of supplemental add ons charges in the set menu -- the steak comes with no sides / potatoes/ carbs and if you want anything it's extra.

I googled the restaurants where celebrities dine and Peploe's is one of them. I was so excited that I was able to get a reservation. Our reservation was at 8:30pm, our tour ended earlier which made us arrived early at 8pm. We did not feel welcomed at all by the host. When we sat down, we waited a little bit before someone came to check on us. Our waitress didn't seem interested to help us, she seems rushed. We ordered finally, when we got our food, nobody checked on us if we needed anything else. Someone checked when we were done with our food. Food was nothing to brag about. The place was too loud. Really disappointed with everything. We were not dressed properly as it was not mentioned on the website and we just got done with our tour. Maybe because we were not dresses nicely that they did not think we can afford the place.

Just ok. We were walking back to our hotel and just stopped in thinking it was cute and convenient for dinner. It was busy but we were luckily seated right away. We ordered the scampi of prawn and calamari assuming it would be served in a garlic/lemon/herb butter and was thoroughly confused when it came out battered and fried. Not one mention on the menu and the server was surprised we were surprised. He said that was how scampi was prepared (I'm half Italian so I think I'm fairly aware of how scampi is prepared). And to top it off..it had no flavor if you didn't dip it in the garlic sauce smeared on the plate. I cut off the breading (which was heavy batter) and gave up when the sauce ran out. The seafood was definitely frozen previously and not fresh. The Irish chicken was the best dish, but was the size of half of a quail. The monkfish was tasteless and difficult to cut. Not the best item on the menu. I was trying seafood since steak is over cooked everywhere in Ireland. I would really rate two and a half stars if I could, but the chicken was really good. Service was just ok.

Try to find better service! I dare you. We had the best date we've had in a while and we have high LA standards. Laura Kate provided the worlds best service! She was charming, accommodating, and had the best understanding of the menu and wine. She lead us to a perfect night! On top of the outstanding services, including the bussers and hostess, I care so much about ambiance, and this restaurant gave us that! We'll be back.

This is no Irish pub so if you want pub food, don't bother. What this is though is an upscale restaurant with food made to perfection and service to equal that. We went here our last night in Dublin and it was a wonderful ending to our great trip. The chicken dish was probably the best tasting chicken I've had in a long time. There were 5 in our party and we all had exceptional meals. The wine list is extensive and great choices.

After two fantastic dinners, I was concerned the Yelp's "recommendation well" might have run dry. We'd tried to get into Peploe's the evening before, but they were fully booked. So when we needed a last night send-off for our team meetings, and Peploe's was available, we knew we were in for a good time. A brief menu with only six or seven starters and a handful of mains in the usual categories, we were still able to divide and conquer. I started with the French Onion soup, it was full and rich. Very hearty, chock full of onions in a luscious beefy broth. On a low carb kick, they had no problem accommodating me by leaving off the croutons. Another of my tablemates started with the "mains" mussels as a starter. A huge portion in a thick and creamy white wine sauce. For mains I opted to go with the night's special, a double of thick "John Dory" steaks. A white fish, in a parmesan crust with steamed veggies on top. They were happy to sub a delicious salad (pine nuts!) instead of the potatoes for me. Others had the tuna steak ("delish!"), the fillet and the t-bone. There was a problem with one of the t-bones being overdone and the wait staff apologized and took it away. The manager also came by and apologized in time for the new steak to arrive properly cooked. With the mains, we had a few sides, including the green beans and a heavenly plate of brussels sprouts with roasted chestnuts. Oh, so good. I was glad no one else wanted any, as I must have eaten three quarters of it myself, picking out the soft chestnuts! They do not have a beer offering nor any spirits. We had two bottles of a nice Australian red with our meal (that's as much as *I* know about wine) and a few bottles of both still and sparking water. Our wine expert did say that they had a very large list of wines available and we could see into the "wine cellar" area that was stacked ten feet high! Great attentive service. It was clear that our waitress was only responsible for our table and one other, so she was always there when we needed her without being a hanger-on. I would absolutely return, as long as work was paying for it!

Nice restaurant if you are looking for a good place to have a dinner date. Great service and higher end type of menu/wine list. Probably everything you chose is going to be delicious...we went to people's with 4 people, I tried everything and everything was delicious. Only reason why I give 4 stars is, the service was a bit slow towards the end of the night, kinda like they were done with our table - we had to ask to staff members twice to get our bill. And with the prices the restaurants charges I wouldn't expect any delays.

Peploe's is a really nice restaurant for a special occasion. It's quite pricey, so you wouldn't just pop in here for 'a quick bit to eat.' The food is excellent and the service is really good too. I've been a couple of times, once for an office Christmas party, and they treated us really well. There were about 12 of us, and all of our food was perfect, which is not always easy to do. I love their steak. But like most places at the moment, they do have great offers on, like lunch specials at €13.50 and they do a pre concert dinner for €25. So you can get the Peploes experience, for a margin of the price.

    Try the veal. So tasty

The second best meal I've had in Dublin. It's a close 2nd though. Great attention to detail with the meals and service. I had the carpaccio for starter. I go for this no matter where I go if it's on the menu. It was so nice and I love the artichoke add in. Then I had the veal. Wow was this a taste sensation. SO juicy, tasty and amazing. Then dessert was choclate tart. It was the second best meal, but easily the best dessert. I would recommend going here for this alone. It is a pricey place so it's best to go here to really treat yourself or someone. I would go back in a flash

The authentic Victorian setting, the Victorian mahogany fittings, the mosaic marble tiled floors and granite tabletops, the mahogany bar, capped with red Connemara marble, follows the classic Victorian architectural pattern. The staff are helpful, friendly and patient since their accent is hard to understand sometime. My 1st beer and 1st Irish food, all I can say is what a meal, just simple delish. Being here is just a wondrous experience, the place is cosy, warm and the friendly of the people. So glad I picked this place as my first of Dublin.

Tucked down Dame Court just off Dame Street, The Stag's Head is one of those rare pubs that feels genuinely historic rather than designed to look old. The building dates to the late 1800s, and the interior retains the ornate features of a classic Victorian "gin palace"--rich carved wood, stained glass, brass rails, and a warm, glowing bar that feels wonderfully preserved. We stopped in around 4:30 pm, which turned out to be a perfect time to visit. There were other patrons enjoying drinks and food, but the atmosphere was calm and relaxed rather than loud or rowdy. It felt like the kind of place where locals drop in for a quiet pint on their way home from work before the evening crowd arrives. The staff were excellent--friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good (we failed to take photos because we were too busy enjoying it). As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see the Impossible burger front and center on their menu; it was deliciously prepared with guacamole on a brioche bun, and not an afterthought on the menu. My companions both chose the Irish Beef Burger, and said it was excellent. One thing to know: this is a traditional Victorian pub, so cocktails aren't really part of the program. Expect beer, wine, or spirits rather than mixed drinks. In a place like this, that actually feels exactly right. Other pubs do serve mixed drinks. Between the history, the ambience, the quality of the food, and the wonderful staff, The Stag's Head is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've experienced a real piece of Dublin.

Menu has a good selection of Irish dishes from seafood chowder up to lamb stew and pies. We ordered the potato soup, seafood chowder, 'banjo' burger with onion rings. The soups arrived first and the seafood chowder was loaded with huge pieces of fish, potatoes (not many) with a creamy rich base. Flavor was incredible and in itself a full meal. Served in a large crock style bowl. The potato soup was minus any whole potatoes. It was a rich creamy base with plenty of flavor and very hearty. The burger was really a double cheeseburger with plenty of cheese, grilled onions, what appeared to be a mayonnaise based sauce on a soft hamburger roll. Really tall enough that it was tough getting your mouth around it. Very well seasoned burgers and the onions were a nice touch. The onion rings were huge and had a very light batter on them. They served in a metal bowl to keep them hot. For dessert the apple crumble was ordered which was served in a large dish with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This could have been warmer but still was good.. The 5 star rating is for the chowder as it outshone the rest of the meal although the burger was definitely a close second. Definitely will return to try other dishes when we come back to the city.

The meat and veggies were plentiful, the portion generous, and it was tasty enough but maybe on the bland side? It was served with a side of braised red cabbage which we really liked: sweet but not sour like pickled cabbage. And house-made brown stout bread, also very good. The wife had a Guinness and I, thinking it too cliché to order Guinness as a tourist in Ireland, tried a different stout whose name I've forgotten from the ample selection. But comparing the two, so much better! The menu offers a wide variety of traditional Irish dishes, more than most of the similar pubs in the area. As well as the other expected pub type food: sandwiches, burgers, etc. As for desserts, if we were hungrier, the wife might have ordered the Irish Whiskey Bread & Butter Pudding. The hubby would probably get his dessert later, as the selection was limited and neither that nor the Apple Crumble appealed. Sitting at the bar we had a more personalized experience than were we at a table. The bartender offered to take a photo of me behind the bar which I of course accepted. We made the right choice in coming here.
