Wonderful food. We stopped by on the way up to Whistler for a really late lunch. The menu is eclectic with Indian butter chicken, Mexican Burrito, perfectly seared salmon, soups & sandwiches. Everyone in your picky party will not have a problem finding something they like. read more

good quality food, great patio, but sparse service. we drove into town and got to the restaurant by 8pm. by then most tables were clearing up to leave, altho the restaurant was by far the busiest in the area. i wasn't that hungry and opted to get the appy mussels with butter, white wine and garlic sauce, and it filled me up very nicely for $12 and the mussels tasted fresh. the actual entrees were priced higher, of course, but their portions were decent for the price. friendly service but, like i said, a bit lacking when we needed to get our drinks refilled or when we needed the bill. i would def come back for the food tho when i'm in the area. read more

If I'm in Squamish, then I know where I'm having dinner...discovered pepe & gringo's on a rainy Fall evening, & by accident...you know how it is, strange town, should I check this place out or what....certainly glad that I did! Very friendly staff, good kitchen, delicious meal & nicely presented. Now, that's where I go, whenever it's dinner & I'm nearby. We went here as this place was recommended. The service and atmosphere was good and the food was well prepared. My only complaint is our meal was more expensive then we expected because they charged us extra for the prawns that came with the meal and it was made to sound like they were included. I feel you need to be more clear when you are charging extra for something like that so the customer understand but I'll know for next time. Overall still a good experience. read more

The worst service I have ever had. We stopped in on our way to Whistler and were totally ignored. We left after half an hour and our water glasses had not even been filled while everyone else around us and those seated after us were all waited on promptly. It felt very much like a local only place where visitors were not welcome or wanted. read more

Had Pepe's Burrito after the Sea to Summit hike. It was so so for me but I did leave out the Jasmine Rice and Drunken Beans (already had tons of carbs that day and it was getting late) however my dining partner loved it. Been here before but don't remember how it was, just that it was decent. Anyway this time can be considered the first since I actually remember. They have a nice fenced patio with plenty of seating. On a Sunday evening they had live country music, for me a rarity and though not my style of music, it fit quite well with the surroundings and spruced up the ambiance. I do remember we didn't have live music last time though. So the food- steak special, chimichanga, deepfried seafood dumplings. All done very well, using fresh ingredients. Seafood dumplings resembled something from a fancy tapas bar, potatoe soup tasted homemade with a decent dose of bacon. The chimichanga even though not authentic- because it wasn't deep fried but rather just a baked burrito- had a good fill of rice and veges. with Salsa, Guacamole and Sour cream on side, accompanied with rice and refried beans. There's a choice of chicken beef or fish! So of course I opt for the fish (being a rare option). If I made the chimichange, or if I go with the Red Robin recipe, there would be more cheese. Unfortunately Red Robin no longer carries my favourite item. It's tough to provide all Western meats, Mexican and Pasta oh and my friend did have butter chicken. Soo if a venue can manage a multicultural menu it's definitely worth noting and returning time and time again. read more

This is a great find in Squamish. I was a little worried given they have a pretty wide variety of cuisines on their menu, however, everything we had was delicious! We had butter chicken, spicy sausage pasta and seafood linguini. Everything was delicious and pretty good value. Dishes are large, service is good and restaurant has a nice feel on the inside. We have been here twice and will definitely be back! Also the Squamish mule cocktail was excellent. read more

My friend and I went in for dinner because the hotel highly recommended this steak house. The servers were really great and the food was fantastic. I ordered the lamb chops with crispy waffle cut fries. They cooked my lamb perfectly and the meat was tender and juicy. I will absolutely be going back here for dinner. read more

We found out about this place yesterday on our way back from a backpacking in the Garibaldi/Black Tusk area. We were expecting a Mexican place but were surprised to find it's a very eclectic menu that includes flavors inspired from India, Mexico, North America, and Asia. The service was excellent, especially considering that we asked for a couple of additions or changes to one of the dishes we chose. The food was delicious and the portions were very ample. The portions for kids were practically adult sized, and our server even brought out veggie sticks for my toddler to munch on while we waited for our food. We're definitely fans and totally plan to make it a regular stop after a climbing trip or as we're passing through. It's a great place to enjoy either after a climbing trip, but it's nice enough to dress up and make it a date night place too. It's casual yet with an upscale, classy feel. I just wish we remembered our server's name. She made the experience completely enjoyable. It totally beats the climber's pub or any of the other stops in Squamish. If you're wanting only Mexican food, you'll be disappointed (as it seems the other reviewers were). But if you're looking for really good food and a creative and varied menu, this is totally the place to go. read more

Visiting from Los Angeles and had to grab a near closing time meal. The Yelp reviews were 3.5 stars but the hotel said it was good so took a chance. Wow! This food is spectacular, and I have to challenge anyone who gave it only 3 stars. I just read the 4 star reviews from people who said it was now their favorite payday restaurant and others who describe it as delicious and great but only give it 4 stars. Astonishing! The glowing words do not match the star rating. I had the grilled scallops appetizer with curry and spinach base, the butter chicken with jasmine rice which is essentially chicken tikka masala at it's best (mouth watering), and kids had fettuccine alfredo with prawns (scrumptious), and spaghetti bolognese (surprisingly exquisite), caesar salad, and mesclun salad and soup. Each dish was unique and each was so good, that I had to sit here with a stuffed belly and emphasize that this place is really good, and relatively inexpensive. Makes me distrust Yelp a little that some people give such petty and unreliable reviews, as if there just being "cute." You will be truly glad you had this meal. read more

We've been eating at Pepe and Gringo's for the last 7 years and have yet to have an unsatisfactory meal. Their mussels (one of my favourites) are always cooked to perfection just the way I like them - fat and juicy. Their lobster cream sauce linguini was heaven with big chunks of lobster. Their fish tacos are the best in Squamish! I also enjoy the live music on the patio every Sunday in the evenings during the summer. Its our favourite restaurant in Squamish! read more

The food had hairs in it and the service was horrible. My sister was asking if we could order but the manger and waitress couldn't hear her, so I turned around and asked if I could order and they thought I was "yelling". I got up to pay for my bill and the waitress came by and said that she was busy with others, OK that's fine but at least say you're sorry. That's what I would do, I service people for a living and if I was in her shoes I would apologize to the customer and wouldn't nag and take back to the customer. She came with the bill and I didn't tip her and she came by and said "Usually when people come here to eat they give tips" RUDE. So what if I don't give you a tip? Maybe I have money issues, or I wasn't happy with your service. You wouldn't say that to someone. I called back to talk to the manger, and he was defending himself and his co-workers and when I told him I wasn't pleased with the waitress's service he said, "Then don't come back" and hanged up on me.
