Bad place to go if you want save money

OMG pep boys are so freaking money hungry they're just trying to get money from you saying everything's wrong and actually it's not. It's funny how I took my car just last week and they're saying that I have a problem with it but I already got that fixed last week Little what they know they're just trying to rip everybody off. I will never come back to Pep Boys again. My husband bought tires just barely last week, buy three get one free and the tire got a nail in it. We took it back today so they can fix the tire because we were under the impression the tires are under warranty and they're saying that it's going to cost us money to get it fixed. This place is so ridiculous. I will never go to another Pep Boys again and the customer service sucks here . Don't waste your time they add everything and try to rack everything up. I am so pissed off right now I'm one unhappy customer I will never come to this place again.

I paid $676.37 for an aftermarket thermostat and a sensor that wasn't even the correct sensor replacement

DO NOT COME HERE! Brought in my vehicle for a diagnostic and it turned out to be a sensor and the thermostat. I paid $676.37 for them to fix the issue. Within a day the 'check engine' light reappeared and subsequently brought it back. Richard, the service tech, said he would look at the issue again. We eventually brought the vehicle back 3 separate times and the 'check engine' light reappeared every time after. Naturally frustrated I took the vehicle to another certified shop and they also ran the diagnostic and it shows the same two problems, a sensor and thermostat. I came to speak with Mark Gutierrez, the service department manager, and he said he would reimburse me for the issues they claimed to have had fixed. I only asked Pep Boys to reimburse me for a partial amount (the thermostat and sensor) which is about $400 of the total amount. To which he said he needed to see a receipt from the other shop in order to reimburse me for what they charged me? I brought in the diagnostic and parts receipt but he said he couldn't accept that. He then became aggressive and simply walked away saying he would only reimburse me for what the other shop charged me. Doesn't make any sense he would pay me back for the work another shop did. I've been a loyal customer for about 20 years now but this will be the last time coming here. In other recent visits with other vehicles I own I have had issues with their poor service such as oil changes that resulted in no new oil put into the engine, a buy 3-get-1 free tire deal they negated on. I also experienced instances where they charged me for services we never asked for such as windshield replacements. Another time I came in for a tune-up and they ended up doing a transmission flush, which I never asked for. In all those instances they corrected their mistakes but that was under different management. DO NOT COME HERE!

Went to have my brakes replaced. When I drove my car 3 days later after pepboys worked on it, one of the bolts came lose and the rotor scrapped the whole inside of my rim really bad. I took it back to pepboys and they admitted to not screwing on the bolt tight enough and fixed it again, however the inside of my rim is still damaged at this point and Mark the manager told me that if I opened a case claiming pepboys to be responsible he would deny the claim anyways and hung up on me. I went into the store to talk to him in person and it was a nightmare . He gave me the run around that it's just cosmetic I can still drive the car safely and refuses to take care of the damage that was done to my rim. I expressed my anger and he threatened to call the cops, this white man calling the cops on me a Hispanic.After many tears and crying in front of him he finally made things right and ordered a new rim. I thought I was in a literal nightmare. I've never had a manager disregard what should really be done to fix the damage done by them. Never going here again
