great local gem. I have used their services before when a nail issue or such... today's 5 star review is for extra special care and service. This business went above and beyond. Around 3:30 pm I came across a woman and her daughter that had a totlaly flat tire that happened in a busy intersection. the mom was super stressed and didn't know Whittier. Other people stopped to help by calling AAA, pushing her car out of the way and such. tow trucks involved etc. I called in to find out if they had the correct size tire as she was on a unexpected emergency budget. it was close to closing at 5 but Mr. Guiterrez stayed open for this woman and her daughter to be towed to him. I was so glad he came through for this family. I trust him to come through for your tire needs. read more

I have been coming to this mechanic for years, the owner has always treated me and people I have referred to him well. I decided to make him my mechanic one day when one of my cars had issues and I took it down to him. he ran the diagnostic testing he realized it was the transmission that had the issues, after doing so he checked the mileage on the car and immediately told me to take it to the Kia dealership. The owner told me that he could fix it and quoted me a price, and proceeded to tell me that my car should still be under warranty and that I should take it to the dealership instead. The owner of the shop could have fixed it himself that day, charged me an arm and a leg and I would have never known. He cost himself money and gained a life long customer. read more

I have the WORST of luck with nails in my tires. 3 in less than two months. I found this place here on Yelp and gave them a try. They are super cheap, they offer a tire patch up for only $15. The 2nd time I came the mechanic said my brakes are getting low and offered other services such as oil changes and tranny flushes. He didn't give me an exact quote but it was a lot cheaper than what I've been hearing.. on top of all this, I get really good and honest vibes. He wasn't pushy, which made me feel comfortable. Since I live around the corner I'll be heading here for all my car needs and hopefully I can provide a bette update after. read more

I've brought my car here a few times, oil change and battery service. My last visit I asked about getting my AC repaired and he provided me with quotes based on what the problem could be. I also asked bumper repaired because I was going back and forth with an auto body shop and insurance (of the person who hit my car) about the number of days the car needed to be in the shop. Gil was able to fix it in under 4 hours on a Saturday . Saved me from needing a rental and missing any work. At the same time he fixed my AC and it was the lowest of quotes. I'd definitely recommend bringing your car here. They are honest and fast! PS: I've sent my boyfriend here for tires and they had him in and out in under 15 minutes. read more

DO NOT trust these crooks, period. Went to get my window fixed, he offers so many services you start to think, so you just do it all right ?! Wrong! Should've trusted my gut. I needed an alignment he said he would give me a deal to do both. So I did. Come to find out he didn't even touch my alignment, but sent me off like it was done. He gave me a run around for a week saying his printer was broke so he couldn't print my tests or receipt. Finally he said "come back and I'll do the test again and give you the print out". That's odd...do it again..so I came back and he says he really busy, leave my car for 2 hours. Then he sends me to another shop to get my alignment done and says he will pay for it. Bottom line, you didn't do the job, you thought I would not noticed, and you would scam me out of more money telling me to come back and do other jobs on my car. In my own city, no trust with these crook mechanics. A damn shame. I would never trust Gilberto. read more
