Fontana location promise us an oil change w tire rotation and fluid ck. After had us waiting 4:30 hrs total for an oil change nothing of this happens. After 1:30 hrs no message no response. When we showed up Hispanic guy told us, sorry we just got your part for your oil change bcs your van is different we will pull it in right now... After 2 hrs more, van didn't move from outside parking lot.... We went breaksfast, shopping and then lunch and thr van was never service after 4:30 hrs We got there 8 am w appointment nothing was done and he lie to us saying we r pulling it in we just got your part... Horrible ... we just got there finally and white guy gave us the key and apologized. Such a waste of time, no explanations about why we didn't get the oil change done. So back in March I took my car to Pep Boys to have my brakes done, this was the first time I have ever chosen Pep Boys to do my brakes. Once they were done and I got in my car, I realized I was still pressing my brakes all the way down to the floor to get my car to stop, so it felt like to me that my brakes hadn't been done at all. Pep Boys contacted me for a review and I gave them a bad review on Google. I was then contacted by the Pep Boys in Rialto where I went to have my brakes done. They let me know they would investigate my allegations and get back to me. A couple of days later the front desk person I dealt with Jennifer, contacted me to come in so they could tighten my brakes. I scheduled an appointment in April and went back in so they could fix my brakes. I sat there for about 2 hours thinking they would fix the problem. Jennifer comes up to me and tells me that 3 mechanics looked at my car and that the brakes were installed correctly. I let her know there was never a doubt in my mind that the brakes weren't installed correctly and that based on my review and the corporate office contacting me that I had brought my car in so that they could tighten up my brakes the way they should have been done the first time. She tells me they don't do that and that no mechanic shop does that. I explained to her I have been to several places in the past and have had my brakes done like Midas and California Auto repair and never when I left have I felt as unsatisfied as Pep Boys made me feel. I also let her know she was talking to someone who has 3 mechanics in her family and that Pep Boys were supposed to bleed my brakes so they would be tight. Jennifer then suggested that I could go to another Pep Boys, which further irritated me because I felt like, why should I go to another Pep Boys when the one here in Rialto, CA should have done the job right the first time. I then let her know I would be posting another review about the bad service I received at Pep Boys in Rialto. With the price they charged me, I could have taken my car over to the high school and let the auto body class do a better job than this and it wouldn't have cost me as much as I paid at Pep Boys. The real sad thing about this bad experience is now I am going to have to come off of more money to take myself to a brake shop who is going to do my brakes right. So I end my story with this advice, because I don't blame this bad experience on all Pep Boys, but do not take your car to be serviced at Pep Boys in Rialto. Worse place to bring your car I took my car in because my check engine light turned on they said they had fixed the problem I paid $300 and my check engine light is still on almost a week later I took it to another shop and they told me there has been no work done to my car. The worst place to get you vehicle serviced! My daughter took her vehicle here and not only did they over charge her with brakes and rotors but the slopply & lazy mechanic left her driver seat dirty with grease & dirt but her seat was never even covered to begin with! On top of her driver side panels & car displays knobs/gears/ brake clutch being greased by a inconsiderate mechanic that gets paid $200 in labor plus the bill was outrageously priced! As a woman places like this take advantage! Then they never pick up the phone lines & called my daughter 4 hours later to say her parts are late & mechanic hadn't taken his lunch! Went inside and I was quoted the buy 3 get one free and on the computer monitor it said 88.00 for one tire so I purchased 4. So when all was said and done I get the receipt and the actually charged me 700 dollars for the tires and then told me I could not get the military discount. So I got screwed out of 150 dollars. Biggest ripoff ever. I should have known since most pep boys service centers have a history especially in the inland empire. The picture shows what I have should have paid. Made an appointment for 2 new basic tires. Got a courtesy phone call the next day about my appointment. Came in to the store on time and was greeted by Mario at the sales counter. He was already expecting me. Was very courteous and polite. Waiting area was super clean and was stocked with keurig kcups coffee. Waited at the most about 30 minutes and during that time I overheard Mario talking to other customers on the phone and I was very impressed with the way he spoke with each client. Great service! I went in to get my rotors and breaks inspected and replaced. The estimated wait time was roughly 2 hours, it ended up being longer than the estimated wait time. They had to go and pick up my parts. I had 4 kids under the ages of 9. Before it got past 5pm, PepBoys staff members brought food for me and my kids. It was sooo helpful and so kind. I couldn't drive to a restaurant because my vehicle was inside the garage and I didn't feel comfortable with walking with 4 kids to a fast food est. I am totally happy with my repairs and even most happy for their customers service Also, I have considered going back for the self serve English Tea and my kids said that they loved the donuts . This site appears to be under new management. Previously we have had great results here, but today...Not so much! We had an appointment at 11:00 this AM to get the tires replaced, alignment and oil change. We Dropped the car off at 10:45AM. At 1:30 PM Mario called me from the store to tell me they had just put the car up on the rack to start servicing. First thing...he tells me they cannot do the oil change because the oil drain plug was slightly loose. WTF? Does that not mean we need the oil change more?!?!?! UBER DRIVERS are welcome here to have your vehicle inspection done and priced reasonably. Called in asking if they do inspection and got a friendly yes and quoted the cost of $19.99. Great! So I scheduled for an afternoon appointment. Jennifer greeted me when I arrived and she had the inspection sheet ready. Told to sit in the waiting area which was very comfortable with a movie playing and noticed they had snacks on a table underneath the TV. Jennifer handled the inspection and it was done in a short amount of time. I was pleasantly impressed as a customer. I believe this PEP BOYS location does inspection for LYFT as well. First customer right when they opened, worker stated it would be 10-15 mins until his mechanic came in and then it would get checked. An hour passed and no on had the decency in that entire time to let us know they needed to finish up cars from the day before or that it would take longer. Still I waited. About an hour and a half now went to ask and said I would be next in 10 mins. 30 mins later they take my car check it in 5 mins and state all my tires need to be changed out. Let them know I wasted 2 hours waiting for them to check it and now I surely didn't have time since my entire morning was wasted on waiting for a simple check of one tire that wasn't even attached to the car. Ended up going to a mom and pop shop down the way. Waited 5 mins. They checked it out and have me options. Never coming here or recommending any of these shops. read more

Everyone here is very nice. I got 4 ties for my car. It is clean in the waiting room. I have had them rebalanced and a tire flat repaired, each time, very courteous and got the job done. When they balanced them they did forget to put the center caps back on, but after one phone call, they put them back on. I like coming here, than a regular pep boys. Several months ago the entire crew was transferred to other locations and a new crew was brought in. Since that time the quality of service deteriorated drastically. I had my oil changed and the oil check light came on after 1000 miles. The next time i asked the manager and he said they always reset it. 800 miles later the check oil light came on again. I complained and nothing happened. The third time the manager said they couldn't reset all cars but they would try. (they have in the past) When i got in my car the check oil light came on, my seat was moved, the radio station was changed. I'm beginning to wonder if my oil was actually changed. Had a coupon so only cost $45 for full synthetic oil change. Very clean on the inside.
