My dad had a question and concern with the brakes on my car. He was so impressed by the service he received. He said they were extremely helpful and honest. I have some mixed feelings about my recent visit to Brake Masters. The customer service itself was solid--the staff was friendly and courteous, which I appreciate. However, I do have a few concerns that left me questioning the overall value. I came in to have my rear brake pads and rotors replaced. The total came out to $469.97, with $148 for labor and $321.97 for parts. Here's where the frustration kicks in: after the service, I looked up the exact part numbers they used and discovered those same parts online for significantly less. * They charged $101.99 for brake pads (part #PSP1632), but I found them online for around $44. * Each rotor (part #BR901192) was $109.99, yet online they're listed for about $44 each. I'm not a mechanic, so maybe there's some justification--like a lifetime warranty or standard mark-up--but from a consumer standpoint, it feels like I was overcharged for parts I could've easily sourced myself at a much lower price and then just paid a shop for the labor. To make matters worse, I mentioned my Costco membership, which is supposed to give 15% off parts, services, and accessories. They said they'd apply the discount, but only took $30 off the subtotal. With a total of $469.97, 15% should've knocked off closer to $70--so it feels like I got shortchanged there as well. All in all, while I appreciated the staff's friendliness, the inflated part prices and inaccurate discount application left me feeling like I didn't get the full value I was promised. read more

I was referred to Brake Masters by America's Tires when I was getting a new set of tires installed. I was advised to ask for Larry or Jesus and to mention the referral from America's Tires for a discount. Jesus immediately greeted me when I entered their office and he was professional and very informative. I received the discount as previously mentioned and the work was done in a timely manner. I will definitely be taking any future alignment needs to this shop in the future. Their lobby also has plenty of seating if you want to sit and wait. I am so glad to have found this diamond in the rough. read more

Loved the customer service from the minute I walked in. They gave me a time frame and it was spot on!

Integrity. Fair. Transparent. Honest. These are not words people commonly use to describe automotive repair shops but they 100% describe Brake Masters. My brakes were squeaking and I called yesterday and spoke with a gentlemen to find out how concerned I should be and asked for approximate cost. He quoted me between $550 and $600 (could not guarantee until he looked bit directionally helped me plan my budget). Today I had my front and rear brake pads replaced and it was $595.21. Just as he quoted. LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THE BRAKE PADS! Larry at the shop was super friendly and educational. I just can't say enough good things. Just note contrary to Yelps hours of operation they are only open until 5pm. Get your brakes here! read more

I am new to the area and was in need of new brakes for my car. I called in and spoke to Larry, provided me a quote over the phone. Pricing is reasonable and great customer service! They did their best, but in the end my wheel was still crooked and pulled left. I went to the Norco brake masters and their tech asked what way the steering wheel was pointing. I said pointing right pulling left. He zeroed the toe on the passenger tire and the driver was .24 degrees toed out. He said there's your problem. He adjusted it, wheel was straight and the car drives straight again. Your tech in Fontana needs a talking to. read more

I typically go to locations that complete the service while I'm on the car with my son however I had to try them out. It was as time consuming as the drive up and the price was about the same after the coupon that's available online. read more

Recommended by America's Tire(4583 mills cir). I wanted to get my wheel alignment done during my lunch break. This place is close to my work & also they run specials. Accommodative: Front desk person was super nice because he scheduled me during his technicians lunch time. Fast: others takes 30-40 min for inspection but their technicians completed it in like 15-20 min. Best location: Meanwhile you're waiting you can grab a lunch from the restaurant across the street. Bang for your buck: quality service, doesn't hurt your wallet & extremely honest staff. This will be my go to place for any of my car issue from now. Keep doing the great work. read more

I highly recommend this place. I was kind of hesitant in the beginning, however, after all the work was said, and done I was happy that I decided to go with him. The individuals were honest they showed me exactly what was going to be switched out. He showed me what was being put in and afterwards they showed me what was removed. They worked with me, every step of the way. Their prices were fair as well not really what I expected from a smaller shop. In short, I will definitely be back with all my family's vehicles !!!!! read more

First time coming here and will definitely be coming back. I had huge issues going on with my vehicle and took my car to get inspected after getting it inspected previously from another shop. I needed a second opinion and went to brake masters. Jesus the manager greeted me friendly and once my vehicle was inspected he showed me the parts on my vehicle that where giving me issues. SUMMARY: Poor customer service, poor mechanical practices, steer clear folks. I was referred here by America's Tire after they cross threaded one of my wheel studs about a year ago. I walked in and spoke with the Manager Alvaro "Al" Cruz. I explained the referral and he was prepared to charge me $70 for the service unless I had America's Tire call and give him a verbal okay. Once I called America's Tire (THEY are very professional) they quickly called Al. Standing only a few feet from Al, he proceeds to lie and tell them I said the stud was damaged a few days ago. I confronted Al about this fact to which he is quick to talk to me like a child, saying he "assumed" it was a few days ago because why would ANYONE wait a year to get the stud repaired. Well AL, some of us have busy lives and since America's Tire didn't leave me missing a lug nut, I was in no rush. Bottom line, Al you lack customer service skills and I will be sure to tell people to steer clear of your shop. I will drive to Norco next time. Not to mention I walk over to see the service being performed only to see the technician left my caliper HANGING by the brake line. REALLY? I asked my pal Al about this, but of course he defended it while again trying to make me feel dumb saying that it's not a problem unless it's a 100k plus vehicle with brittle brake lines. I'm just a garage mechanic but even I know you shouldn't let the caliper hang by the brake line, you suspend it from the frame or somewhere above the axle. read more

They were so friendly and very attentive to my needs. The brake job was done in just over 1 hour.

How can you possibly rate lower than 5 star? This is such a professionally place, always able to get me in and out on time. And when it's busy, they'll let me know, before coming down, what to expect. I usually deal with Al but all the guys here are kind and helpful. I've went through every local shop and when I landed here I never went anywhere else. They've done dealership quality work on my 12' BMW 750, 09' Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and both my 13' v6 and 16' 5.0 mustangs. Ima a lifer here! The only places my cars go are here or the dealership if brake masters recommends. The waiting room is nice also, although I usually spend my time in a safe area by the bay, chatting with the guys there lol.. read more

Mr. Cruz was extremely professional from the minute I made my appointment over the phone, and the minute I walked out of the door! He really did take his time to explain what needs to be done to my alignment. I was so impressed with his service that I recommend my in-laws to have their car services done there. My in-laws had it done a couple days later. They too, were satisfied with the service that Mr. Cruz provided! Thank You again Mr. Cruz read more

Melvin you responded 6 years after I left a comment about slow service.....I think that's my whole point.

So far I brought my car here today as recommended by America's Tire...they got my services for alignment and they found that the struts are damaged so they both service the car...I still have to see if the car will run with no noise at all and just have to wait for another month to make sure that they changed what they need to change.....so far the noise is still in the car ... read more

Went in to get a complimentary second opinion on a wheel alignment and they ended up charging me full price when I did in fact inform the advisor that I would take my vehicle back to the original place I went to for the alignment so they can make the necessary corrections. The advisor did mention the price on what it would be if I did need the alignment when he took down my information. When I was waiting in the waiting area he called me back and told me a wheel alignment was needed and that he also noticed another problem. I told the advisor can he provide me the print out so I can take it to the first tire place because I just paid for the alignment two days prior and that I was under warranty. He said ok I'll have your car out front. When I went to get my keys from him he then told me that they made the corrections and that I had to pay. I'm very upset and feel like I was taken advantage of and him or Jesus the manager showed no remorse and kept saying I did agree to service being done. Why would I agree knowing that I was under warranty with a place I just paid two days prior ? read more

This is my new go for car repairs! I was referred by America's Tire for an alignment, and quickly discovered that I had an underlying issue with the wheel rod. Steven helped me from beginning to end, and was caring, accommodating, and gave me a good deal. It's hard to find a mechanic who doesn't make you feel like you're being ripped off, especially as a woman, and this place is it! They even offered to drop me off at home, which isn't especially close. I don't often write reviews, but this place deserves it. Come here, you won't regret it! read more

Alvaro "Al" took care of axle shaft & steering on nephew's handicap Toyota van. Honest and said didn't need brake pads, warned that rack & pinion starting to leak.
