Had a great experience. Went in for a tire repair due to a nail. It was not reparable so I had to get a new one. They did everything in their power to get me a match to my other tires. There was a little hiccup when the tire came in they couldn't find it but they tore the place up looking for it and found it. 25 min later I was out the door with a new tire. Great job! read more

The last time this Pep Boys location was any good whatsoever was when it had a man who looked to be in his late 40s to early 50s running it. I don't remember his name, but he had blonde hair and he was white, wore glasses and he was very friendly and took care of customer needs. Well, that was about six or so years ago, and this place has completely gone to hell! Pep Boys has always been an iffy type of business but the guy I am talking about here at least seem to try to do the right thing. Ever since he left the management that has run this place has been all but a joke. I don't know where they get their mechanics from, but they must scrape the bottom of the barrel, as I wouldn't so much as have any of them work on a bicycle! Stay away from Pep Boys, you have been warned read more

Back in February 2026 I took my car to this establishment due to leaking oil. They informed that I needed a new oil pan and supposedly fixed it. In the process of supposedly fixing it they broke the pan cover (which was completely in tact prior to their mistake) and had to keep by car for an additional 5 days because the part had to be ordered. I finally got my car back only to get home and find that my car was still leaking oil. I took it back up to them and they informed me that it was residue and that I shouldn't have anymore issues. Here we are now in July 2026, and my car has still been leaking oil daily. I finally was able to take it to Firestone where I usually do business and was told that my oil pan was bad and needed fixing which let's me know that Pep Boys took my money and did absolutely nothing to fic my car. I will never use them again and I recommend that no one should ever trust them with your car!!!. read more

Went to get a alignment done, was told it would take a hour, 8 hours laters finally got it back. And the car does the same thing I went in for, still pulls to the right, when I go faster then 65 steering wheel starts to shake. Was told I need "new tires" so I got good used tires, still didn't fix the problem, go over a bump or hit a hole the whole front end bounces to the lift. read more

I stopped by bc my back tires were reading low tire pressure. One tire was repairable, and the other wasn't. Joseph was very sweet and friendly! He let me know all of my options and helped me pick the right one. I had to order my tire and it got there within one day. I didn't have to wait long at all! if you go to any pep boys in mobile, go to this one! read more

Manager skills are horrible. They have bad attitudes and are not professional. They love to talk and Not listen. Pep Boys plugged my tire in March and the tech did a bad job they said they didn't do it the computer said they did. My feeling are not hurt because they will loose in long run Alyson one of the manager need more training on listening. Eric her boss listen but fix the problem read more

Excellent Service Came in for emergent brake job, needed brakes, super competitive price and got out in under the estimated time. read more

See all

Beware, they tried to charge me way more than what my parts cost, $180 for 1 lower ball joint. Actual retail value: less than $50 ( I know because I looked it up by the part # on my invoice). Also, I have a lifetime alignment and so far they have misaligned my car and steering wheel two out of two times. Hopefully you have better luck but buyer beware. read more

I scheduled an appointment for my car to be worked on at 9am. I walk to Walmart and look around, grab some food and head back after an hour. And I asked about when my car would start to be worked on and he told me atleast another hour or so. read more

Completely disregard the online appointment system. I made and appointment online, got an email and text verification and when I showed up on time they said "Oh your still supposed to call there is a three hour wait". What's the point and then to act like I was crazy to expect anything else. Not a great customer service model. read more

I've been to this location several times and every time they add extra completely unnecessary items and call it the "manager special " complete bull crap . Today I got a general oil change/tire rotation. I even noted that's all I wanted. $120 because they added the "manager special " which includes a bogus fuel treatment that's a complete joke! I'll NEvER return read more

Excellent customer service! I was visiting from out of town and needed coolant to assure a safe trip home. Mannie was super attentive and took care me quickly. Best customer service I have experienced in a long time. I will definitely visit this location when in town and have automotive repair needs. read more

Brought my mom's car in after getting yanked around by the dealer. They diagnosed the car, realized what it needed was not something they worked on, gave me a referral of where I needed to bring it and didn't charge me a dime for diagnosing the problem. Integrity is always appreciated! read more

I am left with two trucks with oil plugs that was stripped out and fell out while driving. The management refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoing. I am a disabled veteran and have used pepboys for years but now that they've cost me thousands of dollars and left me and my family without transportation so close to Christmas is ridiculous. All I was asking was that they'd fix at least one of them. Guess it's too much to ask. So now me and my family will have to do without Christmas because now I'm having to save for yet another vehicle and then an attorney... read more

Absolutely horrible service. Waited 4 hours for a basic oil change lies after lies that they would start "now". Once they put the car in, it took them almost an hour to actually change the oil. Won't be coming back ever. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely terrible customer service. Made an appointment for 8am got there around 7:50am to drop my car off. I return around 9:30 to pick it up because I have a job to get to. And they still hadn't even started on it yet. The manager told me to come back at 5pm and promised to get it done. Returned around 4:45pm and the guy at the desk had no clue what I was talking about, and told me there was no way my car would get in today. Then I called to speak to the manager and the manager said the desk guy told him that I didn't want to get my car done today and left. Just terrible customer service and lost about 3 hours of work because of it. read more

This story starts with a terrible beginning but ends with finding a truly excellent shop that provides customer service and actually seems to care about the people they are serving. We were off for a road trip out west. It is early in the morning and the car will not start. After waiting too long for Allstate Motor club/ Subaru road service to jump the car we drive over the Pepboys near Regency which is supposed to open at 7:00 am. Guess what?...of course no one shows up at 7:00 so we drive to this Pepboys (after calling) and meet the Service Manager Ronald Broughton. His manner was reassuring, professional and clearly conveyed interest and concern and a desire to help and provide rapid service to get us on our way. The battery was dead (despite having been at Subaru a few weeks before and being reassured that it was not the battery and the problem had been fixed). Great!...well the battery unfortunately had to come from their dispensing store at Montlimar. The good news however was the assistant manger was on his way in from that direction and would pick it up. When it arrived (a short time later) they put it in quickly and efficiently, did their checks, and we were off. Okay, this sounds like a simple story but it is the way we were handled that is the reason I am writing this. This is clearly the prima Pepboys in this area for the way we were handled. It appears evidently that the manager I was dealing with was a retired Paramedic for the fire department. It now makes sense as his interface with me was that of a professional trained in interfacing and providing solutions. So, the end of the story is a strong recommendation on my part to use this place as it is clearly under excellent management. That is exactly what one needs when one requires car service. Thank you! read more

I have made 3 visits to this location for tires and rotations, all work has been done right. Today I was there waiting with my elderly mother and son, The manager and techs all spoke to us, very friendly guys! read more

We got a huge screw lodged in our truck tire at the end of the day! 6:45 pm and didn't think anyone was open. Bryan and Aaron at Pep Boys took the truck in and stayed 20 minutes past closing time to fix the tire and get us back on the road. Thanks Pep Boys!!! read more

I recommend ANY Pep Boys location in Mobile except the one at Montlimar Drive. I've been there before and the service sucks a big one! This location at Airport Blvd. and Shillinger's Rd. was fantastic and the service was great! I went to get some tires from this location and the staff was very friendly and helpful and got me in an out in no time! Highly recommended! :) read more

Had a terrible experience. After asking in writing for a mount and balance only, on a new tire purchase, and waiting 2 1/2 hours I was sill charged for road hazard, TPMS parts and labor. After pointing out the fact that my car did not even have the TPMS sensors I had been charged for the Manager Ron whom was very Rude and instead of owning the mistakes blamed the computer. I guess the tech didn't know he didn't use the parts and labor I was billed for. I have contacted the customer service department by phone and email and have not received a reply in two weeks. To top it all off my tire they mounted was not balanced properly and bounce's at 55 mph. Trust me folks do not do business here, they will try to steal from you and do a poor job. Plus if you have a problem no one in corporate cares enough to even listen. read more
