So I will start with the good and then get into the not so good. Ordered the mongolian beef lunch specail. Mongolian beef tasted good but seemed heavy on the onions and peppers (not so traditional but not that bad either) and light on the beef. Portion size was enough for both lunch and dinner for me. The eggroll that came with it was horrible. Could not finish it. Menu price did not match what I was charge but luckily it was lower than listed on the menu. Menu said $15.99 but they charged me $12.99 Not much ambiance. Low levels of lighting. Lots of signs indicating all orders were final so choose wisely. I assumed they have trouble with people complaining food is not what they though it would be? Service was adequate but not very busy either. Only 3 of us in there at lunch time. read more

It was our first time here. We wanted to eat Chinese food and came here right after work. It happens to be across the street from the hotel we stayed at because we were here for work. We ordered 4 different dishes. I know it's a lot because it was just the two of us ladies. The service AND food were outstanding! All the food we ate were absolutely delicious! Our server was Brian and the cashier was Raul. They were very nice and professional, too! If every you're in town visiting our even live around here, you'd be very impressed and happy you came here to eat! I bet anything you order would be delicious! Trust me! You'll love it! I have family who live in Brawley so I have spent my summers and a lot time there. Our chinese food spot was always the China Inn but over the years I felt like the quality of the food declined so I stopped going there. On Saturday, 7/10 we went to visit my Tia and she wanted chinese food so begrudgingly I took her to China Inn. Fortunately, it was only take out so she suggested Peony Pavilion. The decor is definitely out of date and could be updated but this place was amazing. The service was great, everyone was nice and attentive. The food was a pleasant surprise. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. This is definitely our new chinese food spot when we go to visit family. read more

This restaurant struck me as in the low rent district. The wine selection was Gallo, Yellowtail, Barefoot and Carlo Rossi..Five of us ate there. One of our party ordered a glass of wine and was told "no, sorry, the box is empty." There was a large selection of items on the menu. But the orders looked pretty much alike--huge servings that were all brown and loaded with carbs. I had Beef Chow Fun and didn't care for it because it was too peppery for my taste. but the beef in it was excellent, very tender. The others liked their meals. The cream cheese wontons were excellent, but I had to ask for a sweet and sour dipping sauce to go with it. At the end of the meal, we were not offered fortune cookies. My go to food is always chinese cuisine and I would always recommend the salt and pepper fish fillet. That's exactly what I got here at this restaurant and boy it is spot on and a huge portion! Came with a soda and spring roll. The employee was very nice. Give this place a try! read more

Restaurant is average-furniture is old and torn. Service is so so depends what time you go in and who your server is. Food is good and fresh- there is wait time but food is hot. 5/24/19- ordered take-out today food was hot and ready fast. When I got there is was ready however there was a discrepancy as far as the prices it was more expensive my order five items was 10 dollars more. The workers are aware of this but have not changed it. So when ordering by phone and using the their website menu beware. read more

Was here for work and I had the the unfortunate experience of ordering at this place. Only if they new what Chinese food is in LA, NY or Boston. This place is so gross. It was a waste of money. Poor quality for someone who knows better. I can't with Brawley. They also don't pick up so you have to go in person to order. I'm not from the area but staying for business. When the company I'm visiting told me there wasn't much here he wasn't kidding. However he recommended this place. My teens and I had lunch here. Normally, they only eat food at Panda Express. However, since we were invited, they agreed to go with me. By the end of the meal, both teens were raving about the food. My favorite Chinese dish is chow fen; it is similar to chow mein using rice noodles instead of flour noodles. This restaurant makes the best beef chow fun in the valley. People are courteous and often make suggestions whether you order lunch or dinner. read more

3.5-4 star rating is about the food only. Authentic Cantonese style food cooked by a chef from Hong Kong, China. Big portions of food. It is my preferred Chinese restaurant in Brawley. Tried to talk to fat youmg Asian boy at register but he couldnt get off of his internet pork/n to acknowledge me.
