We hired We-Haul Moving Company in July of 2020…read more Our move consisted of moving all household goods from a 2900 sqft house in Las Vegas, NV to a 3900 sqft house Seattle, WA. Additionally, we requested We-Haul to pack all of our dishes, glassware, and books. We chose We-Haul because Javier was quick to respond. Quoted price was much more competitive than the others on Thumbtack. But, most importantly for us, offered guaranteed delivery date/time. When every competitor we spoke to gave delivery windows of 3 days to 10 days with no guarantees, Javier and his team offered to deliver our housewares on the date of our choosing and if needed as early as in two days. On top of that, one of our dogs that would have had to fly in the cargo rode with the crew in the air-conditioned cabin and We-Haul had managed lodging accommodations to include our dog. Our family has moved a lot in the past. From Northern Virginia to Massachusetts to Kansas City to Washington State to Las Vegas back to Washington State. We've had such horrible experiences in the past from movers not showing up on time, delivering late, misplaced items from having to share trailers with other customers, damaged household goods, companies adding in cost post-contract, holding our items hostage to swindle more money, pick up crew being different than the drop off crew and having no idea of the contents truck. None of that applied with We-Haul. Crew arrived on time for both pickup and drop-off. Provided status updates during the move. Javier checked in to ensure everything was going well pre-during-post move. No items were damaged. No items were missing. Booties were worn to avoid damage to new home flooring. I would and have recommended these guys to anyone within We-Haul's coverage area.

He has admitted, via text message, to having these items and promised to return them. It has been almost a year now and has not returned them and is not responding to my text messages. Taking and keeping what is not yours I believe is stealing. In my opinion Gail is a thief. FRAUD: I paid him close to $900 as part of the contract to insure my 4 cars, one a classic, and all of my personal belongings and furniture. During the move one of my cars had paint damage and other items were broken or damaged. I requested an insurance claim form for the damages. His response was that he failed to pay the insurance premium and now he has no insurance. So, what happened to my $900 insurance payment to him? In my opinion this is fraud. LIAR: He promised to send me an insurance claim form which he has not done so to date and now we know why not. He frequently promises you one thing and fails to fulfill what he has promised. He booked me for that upcoming Saturday. The two guys that showed up got to work immediately. They were very efficient with their time. Took beds apart, wrapped furniture in plastic, cardboard or blankets. Carefully loaded it in the truck. Cleaned up after themselves. Then unpacked it just as carefully and twice as fast as they'd packed it up. They worked non-stop, tirelessly all day, were so polite and accommodating. I was very happy by the days end, all of my furniture was perfectly placed, nothing scratched, a huge job done so professionally and seamlessly. She had a heavy washer and dryer that needed to be installed, but it had a 3 prong plug and her outlet was 4 prong. He advised her against using an adapter and to get the plug from Lowe's. He was able to switch the plug out and installed them with ease. I swear Tom is related to BamBam from the Flintstones. He lifted those heavy boxes like they were cellphones. My daughters were finishing up college at Northern AZ so I booked the move 2 months in advance with Kangaroo and Chris told me over and over that we are in great shape because we booked so far in advance. When he never called back the next day, I called Kangaroo and a lady told me Chris was off that day and that they wouldn't have anyone in the area on my scheduled day. This was a real problem because I had to also reserve the freight elevator key and the lone loading dock 2 months in advance because it is very competitive due to all of the college kids coming and going. Bottom line is that I had to take 2 days off work, rent a 20 foot U-Haul, and move them myself because I couldn't find another moving company with a 3 day notice plus the lease was up the next day and I had cleaners scheduled. What really irked me was that those clowns wouldn't have even called me. My daughters would have been sitting there waiting and no one would have shown. Please, please, please do not book anything thing with this company. Pay a couple more dollars and use a professional moving company.
