This is the third time in seven years I have used legacy moving, and every time they were perfect. Their prices were great, and the workers have been trained well and are true professionals. I always enjoy working with a company that is not only technically proficient, but are good businessmen as well; and Travis fits that bill to the T. Each time, including this last move, we had full packing service, delivery, and they set up all of our furniture, and they did it flawlessly without so much as a toothpick being broken. Do not hire these movers, they charged for a service not received. They had good reviews so we thought they would be great movers . After loading half the house the guy came in and said they could no longer continue because one of the movers was sick because my place was "so filthy" he couldn't stand to be inside. So they walked out on us causing me to lose 1800 dollars for not being out of my residence on time, not to mention having to stay with no power or bedding or creature comfort's. I will put a pic in if I can showing my "filthy" place exactly how it was when they walked out. I believe it was because the mover Austin was being petty due to a perceived wrong against him. I do have a cat that they said smelled, but my father is extremely sensitive to the smell of a litter box and rarely visited because of the cat. But even he had no issue with the smell since it was negligible as I had just changed the litter box. So beware if you actually want to get all your stuff moved stay far away from these guys. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We called this company to load our truck for a cross country move. They claimed to be a professional moving company with a lot of experience. We were not planning on taking our king size bedroom set including the mattress and box springs (we were going to have someone take it to consignment after we moved). They insisted that it would fit in the truck with the rest of our furniture. I repeatedly told them I wasn't planning to take it but if they could assure me that everything else would fit with this also, they could go ahead and load it. Well, everything did not fit. A small sectional, our refrigerator and barstool which we did want, did not fit and they conveniently took those items for themselves. When we got to our destination, there was damage to several pieces due to their negligence. An obscure piece of glass wrapped in bubble tape had boxes placed on it and it cracked, the king size furniture had boxes placed on it without padding so it was completely scratched and not even acceptable at a consignment store, garage shelving poles were bent so they were unusable, other poles were shoved in the freezer and broken. I tried several times to contact Travis (the owner) to ask for some reimbursement for my damages (not even the cost of replacement). I did speak with him a couple of times;once when he was too busy with his kids and another when he was arriving at another job and said he would call back. He never did call back to resolve this but when we did speak, he just made one excuse after another for his negligence in loading a truck to avoid so much damage. If you want a properly loaded truck where your belongings aren't broken and if you expect customer service in dealing with any issues then you will be better off hiring another company for your moving needs. read more

I know this company has many good reviews, but when I had issues with my move, they tried to discourage me from writing a review saying that all of their reviews were positive, and I shouldn't leave one just because I was upset. So, there may be more people out there that had bad experiences, but were pressured into not reviewing the company. Today is October 6th, we moved on June 5th, and it has taken us until this month to get everything resolved with Legacy Moving. When we started to look into movers, the owner of the company came and looked at everything we had so he would know the size of the moving truck. I thought everything was good after that, and paid the amount, even though it was more than double the other movers we talked to. Come moving day, a U-haul shows up and the owners friend is driving it. It wasn't an employee, just a friend. He started packing items up, and a little while later, the other movers arrived. I thought they were doing great at first, until I noticed that they would take some things and just leave others. We would point it out to them, and they would just say, "Oh, that has to go, too?" The company said later that the movers were confused because there were multiple people telling them what to take and what not to take. We told them to leave the fridge and water softener, and EVERYTHING else was going. I'm not sure where confusion comes in. After a few hours, they said they were taking a break, which is fine, I understand that. My problem with the break is that they left the truck completely open full of our stuff. Anyone could have come along and helped themselves if I hadn't noticed it. Once they came back, they suddenly changed. Before, they were taking everything and putting it in the truck, after, we were told that many items they could not take in the truck, so that was our own problem. We had never been given any information about information that they could not take, and some of what they refused to take they had already put similar items in the truck, so the change was confusing and frustrating. It got to the point that there was little room left in the truck, and there were still items that needed to go. They told us that the truck was full, so they couldn't take anymore. I had to keep reminding them that they were being paid to move our stuff, and as of yet, they hadn't. There response was to continually say that the truck was full, so they couldn't do anything. The movers, except the truck driver left, and the driver went and got a U-haul trailer to go behind the U-haul. We thought the last of the items were in there, until after the truck had left and we realized a bookcase had been left in a closet. We had to rent another U-haul to move all the items Legacy suddenly wouldn't move. There was too much to fit in our cars. After we got to the new house and they started putting together furniture, it was discovered that the mover who took apart our Treadclimber cut one of the wires and just put the cut wire in the parts box without saying anything. Another wire had to be ordered, and just this week, months later, Legacy finally got it put together. They only did this after we threatened to report them. We had been trying to get them to get someone for months, so their excuse that they thought everything was taken care of was complete nonsense. As we unpacked, we noticed boxes destroyed and items broken. While packing the truck, they had not cared about how light or heavy a box was, or if it said Fragile. According to them, we packed it, so they are not responsible for what happens. I get that, but I also get that common sense tells you to not put a heavy box on top of a light one. More care should have gone into the packing of the truck. We also found out that they had taken items from one box and moved them into other containers, causing those items to be crushed. There was so much damage, that honestly, I wish we had gone with one of the cheaper companies. I have moved over twenty times in my life, and have never had the issues I've had with Legacy. While moving, the company tried to call and tell me that the issues came about because of things that were my fault. When I mentioned that we had to rent another truck because of everything they left behind, she asked why I didn't just put it in the trailer they had rented and pulled it myself. There was never any communication that that was a possibility. There really was no communication period. The excuse we were given for why there were so many issues was because the people that moved us were not their normal movers. I don't care if they are not the normal movers, they are the people representing the company. All around, almost six months of stress and headaches from Legacy. I still have all the texts and pictures showing the communications between us these past months just in case something shows up in the future. read more

I would not recommend this moving company. I am 82 yo and they totally took advantage of me. They quoted one price and then charged $1700 more than the quote. I had no fridge, washer or dryer to move and no exceptionally heavy items. So many of my items (some antiques) are chipped and/or broken that I am very sad. I moved from Ivins, Utah to SLC, Utah. My house was only 1530 sq.ft. so it really wasn't a big move. I was duped - big time. Because this is not a good review it is being blocked. read more

My brother in law used these guys a few months ago traveling out of state. They sure fooled us on the phone. Interstate moving professionals was what we were told! It was a full service move. The guys did show up on time! I will give them that. As we were unpacking boxes we multiple packing errors. Glass on glass. They just threw the food into boxes or they threw the boxes around opened the box to nothing really save able. Every time I went out side 1 of the 4 guys would be smoking. The language was no filter anything and everything was said! New company not that much exp. don't let the phone call sell on what service is really offered! Just recently sold and bought another house, decided to start looking for a local moving company and found Legacy Moving thru Yelp. Checked out their reviews, and decided to give them a call, Travis answered the phone on a Sunday and holiday weekend, I was expecting to leave a voicemail. He then came promptly to my house and looked at everything I was moving and gave me a quote. Their reviews don't do them justice. I have moved several times and after using these guys I would never go anywhere else. They were on time, they didn't waste time, they protected my doorways with bumper pads, put down runners thru out my home and stacked everything nice and neat. I wasn't moving immediately into my home because it was getting painted so they stacked it all off the truck into my garage, very carefully. And then told me if I needed help moving it into the home after the updates were finished, they would come back over. Can't say enough about this company, do yourself a favor and use Legacy Moving.
