Oh my gggaaaahhhhh, I am so thankful that I found Dr. de Jong!…read more I have a 15-year-old black lab that I HATE taking to the vet. Between getting into the car, to the car ride itself, to the doctor taking her away from me on a slippery floor while I have to wait in the car, it's always a super stressful event - for both of us. It was getting to the point, however, that a vet visit was a necessity in order to get a prescription for her preventative medications, so I went on a hunt to find a visiting vet. Dr. de Jong (who introduced herself as "Kathy" - how friendly is that!) was very responsive to my messages and came out pretty quickly after I got in touch with her. Her nurse, Jill, was also a wonderful blessing. Both of them were just so kind and thorough, and did I mention kind? Friendly. Gentle (literally, like the name of her business!). They explained everything they were going to do before they did it, asked permission to place their items here or there, and were overall exceedingly pleasurable to deal with. They performed annual exams on all my pets, took blood, collected stool samples, administered vaccines, and did it all while trying to keep the pets as calm and comfortable as possible. What normally would be a days-long recovery from a traumatic vet visit, with my senior dog limping from tired muscles, and my cat rubbing his nose raw on the cat carrier, took only an hour. I can't recommend Kathy and Jill enough. If I could give more stars, I would! They are true angels! XOXOXO.

Sadly after 8 years of excellent care from this group and the many positive reviews i have given, I…read morecan no longer recommend them. Dr. Serini, on two separate visits, one for new onset seizures in my pup, the other for a cat who needed a pre op visits barely examined the animals by laying a stethoscope to their chest for a split second. Not at all what I was used to from VCA Doctors. The pup was at the visit because of the seizures and for labs that I had been told he wanted, he blew off the labs and told me just to get a video of the next seizure. He didn't chart on the seizures and the visit was listed as being for skin issues, he didn't even check his skin. I said nothing that visit. Same thing at the pre-op visit for the cat, barely an exam and he didn't want to do the labs! He wanted me to come back and have the labs drawn under sedation. I had to argue with him insisting that is what this visit was for. They did drew the labs. I left the exam room and told the people at the desk I don't like that doctor. My comment at the desk was later used against me by Tina who told me I have been a problem before. She lit my fuse, after eight years of singing their praises she said that. She later denied saying that, then she tried gaslighting me by making it my fault she said that. She said Dr Serini did nothing wrong, he is a great Doctor and I am the only one who has ever complained. His care does not meet what I have experienced for 8 years with VCA, it's very sad this has happened. My complaints after 8 years should have been handled more professionally. The final nail in the coffin is we are almost 30 hours past my cat having surgery with complications and no phone call from them to check on her. You can go anywhere for the level of service they are now providing and pay a lot less money,

When we…read morefound out that we were going to be back in Rockaway, I reached out to Dr. Mini to see if she had any availability because Sierra was in desperate need of some dental care (immediately!) What I received was a quick response (via text) and I actually thought I was talking to a receptionist. What I didn't realize was that I was talking (texting) with Dr. Mini, herself, even though she was ON VACATION! She did an amazing job on Sierra's teeth and I would definitely recommend her (and even give her more stars if I could!!)

Please don't use her for putting your dog or pet down. Just doesn't care at all - only to the extent it impacts her review and image as some vet. This person it feels like has no morals, values, or integrity, as she write stuff on Google reviews to people like "Karma will get you and god is watching", instead of owning the problem. Look at the negative reviews on Google, they tell the true story of Mini. Well Mini, I hope Karma gets you for pretending to be a good person as you come across that typical Indian Fresh off the Boat (mentality) just to collect money from innocent people who genuinely care about their pets. Thanks for ruining the reputation of Indians as if people already don't like nor trust us, and now trusting Indian doctors/vets is hard enough. Great Acting, you should have tried acting instead. Always in it for the money instead of the greater good. Please go find another profession. Oh, God is watching you too, but you probably don't believe in that since you're just in it for the money.

Dr Barotz is a real find. She is the best of both worlds; a Cornell Vet school graduate and…read moreextremely knowledgeable in a Chinese medicine approach. She believes in both, each complimenting and supporting the other. That's what I wanted and need for my best friend and little boy, Trooper. On top of that, she is happy to work with a patients' regular Vet and studies their medical records thoroughly. She has a gentle, caring manner and spends the time to fully explain her analysis, opinions and reasons for her recommendations. Dr Barotz has a 360 degree approach and the education, knowledge and experience to carry it out. I am so very happy to have her at our side through what is a very tough time. My Trooper has liver cancer. Thanks to her, I have a much better understanding of how I can give Trooper's body more support and comfort, as well as other options I might have for his care. I wish I had known her when I first adopted Trooper 11 years ago, through sickness AND health. I think we can take better care of our little friends with her full approach.
