I stumbled on happy paws on google/facebook and I really wish another vet had an opening and was able to come to our home. From the second I spoke to Dr Mink I felt rushed. I initially called her around 12/1pm to ask if she had an opening and she did from 6-8pm that she can be here.. I tried to call her back to confirm but she said she was in a house call and she'll call me back.. call back never happened.. turned into just a text exchange confirming she can come between 6-8pm. When she got here at 6:30 all we wanted was 10 extra minutes with our girl.. she made it seem like I was asking for an hour and said she can give us 5 minutes as she has another appointment right after.. I already got annoyed at this comment right from the beginning. When she came in first thing she asked for was payment.. no asking of what our girls name was, how old she was, what was going on.. nothing.. zero sympathy.. went straight for payment and then straight to almost giving her the first shot to put our baby to sleep.. she then gave us maybe 5 minutes and went straight to shaving her paw and putting in the IV line.. After our girl was gone the Dr gave us zero information about cremation.. all I got was can you pickup her ashes in Clifton? That's it.. no name of the company nothing.. we were also in total shock still so even asking these questions then completely went over my mind. I had to text her the next day asking when we can pickup her ashes and when they will be ready.. all I got was an excuse saying she sent the information already but the text didn't go through so she will resend them. In the end we picked up our girls ashes and paw prints on Tuesday, all no thanks to the Dr, I called the cremation place myself and was told everything was ready for pickup. I just hope this review helps others.. we were going through one of the worst days with our girl and looking back at all the things that happened I really wish we went with someone else.

We don't do unnecessary tests or procedures. We don't like being pushed to get vaccinations that aren't necessary. This place is just like that. Nothing was pushed. The vet agreed to not give him an unnecessary vaccination due to this age. We agreed to a panel of tests based on the urinalysis but the vet stepped us through each possible issue and made us feel at ease and there's no need for more testing or making any changes. We didn't like the small rooms or the office space but to get a vet we like makes that irrelevant. The staff was super. The vet also told us about the other vets so we know if he's not there, we feel comfortable enough to go to a different vet in the practice. Our little guy is 14 years old and was treated with care and knowledge. I got the name of this place on nextdoor.com but I confirmed what they all said on Yelp. We felt great seeing the complaint about how this place was during the covid crisis (on Yelp) and knew it was the right place to go :) . So, thanks Yelp users.

Between getting into the car, to the car ride itself, to the doctor taking her away from me on a slippery floor while I have to wait in the car, it's always a super stressful event - for both of us. It was getting to the point, however, that a vet visit was a necessity in order to get a prescription for her preventative medications, so I went on a hunt to find a visiting vet. Dr. de Jong (who introduced herself as "Kathy" - how friendly is that!) was very responsive to my messages and came out pretty quickly after I got in touch with her. Her nurse, Jill, was also a wonderful blessing. Both of them were just so kind and thorough, and did I mention kind? Friendly. Gentle (literally, like the name of her business!). They explained everything they were going to do before they did it, asked permission to place their items here or there, and were overall exceedingly pleasurable to deal with. They performed annual exams on all my pets, took blood, collected stool samples, administered vaccines, and did it all while trying to keep the pets as calm and comfortable as possible. What normally would be a days-long recovery from a traumatic vet visit, with my senior dog limping from tired muscles, and my cat rubbing his nose raw on the cat carrier, took only an hour. I can't recommend Kathy and Jill enough. If I could give more stars, I would! They are true angels! XOXOXO.

When one of our dogs had an emergency and needed an operation. Having never been there before, they took our pup and performed the surgery, even staying late. The vets have all been great every time we go. But just recently we took our little 11 year old in, trying to figure out what was going on. We saw Dr Jan Cailles and she was wonderful! She took her time examining and had us return promptly when things progressed very rapidly. She listened to our concerns, worked with the options we were willing to use, and was there checking in, consoling us, giving necessary information, compassion and understanding tye entire time. We said goodbye to our baby and she helped in every way. Dr Jan understands how our pets are family and the connection that's shared. Our pup was her first concern. She was masterful and knowledgeable as well as comforting to us. She made an upsetting illness easier for us with her guidance and care. Our pup was very lucky to have her at the end of her life. She, and her staff were, once again, great. Highly recommend.

I was told they were "down a doctor" and could only see us the next day. I did not think we could wait, and was told an "ER" visit could be arranged for a fee of $226.00. This is ridiculous. When I took our pup in, I asked to speak to the office manager. She said they do reserve a certain number of appointments daily to see sick pets, but they were already gone. This business opens at 8, and I called at 8. How they were gone is a mystery to me. Being "down a doctor", and obviously then being able to see fewer patients, should not become the problem of the client. The doctor was lovely. No complaints there. We left with a bill of $366.00 for a routine sick visit. This is criminal, and is no way to run a business.
