They also are opened for emergencies My dog was going down hill I took her out of Tinton falls emergency care and brought her to Dr Buchoff she lived for 3 more years . My dog now is 16 and is in longevity vet centers care . He is doing great ! I just got him his dental treatment they were prepared and was available 3 hours later in great shape . I've been taking some of my dogs to Dr. B for many years. He's been wonderful! Were it not for him, one of my fur babies would not be alive. She had mass cell carcinoma and it was through his excellent care and holistic treatment that she lived cancer free for another 5 years. (She just passed at almost 18 years of age.) Medical incompetence took my baby boy away forever, brought my dog to this practice for the first time 7/29/25 thinking they had reputable vets. If knew then what I know now about the horrific incompetence of this practice throughout the years, I WOULD HAVE NEVER STEPPED FOOT IN HERE!. My boy was experiencing stiffness on his hind legs, tremors, pain, loosing his ability to walk, lethargy, not wanting to eat, 4 days after he experienced this I brought him here, "doctor" Sathish said "he looks fine to me", touched his mid back and my boy twitched a bit she said the problem is here, however, touching his back didn't cause him pain, whenever he was in pain and you touched where it hurt he would growl, he didn't, the vet said let's give him steroids, she offered xrays but said steroids would help with the inflammation and reduce the pain. I trusted her judgement. She was more concerned in giving him a teeth cleaning, while my dog had gingivitis that's not what i went in for, still she pushed for blood work and added oral antibiotic to my bill to address the gingivitis, when the real concerning issue was that my dog had lost his ability to walk. 2 weeks later I go back because the stiffness in my boy's legs got worse it had traveled all the way to his neck and front legs. I told the doctor exactly what happened, i even said I thought he was seizing how stiff he got and how much he was shaking and he had lost his appetite again. She said no I don't believe it was a seizure, she then said he's in pain lets give him a shot of prednisone and do the blood work for his teeth. My beautiful boy seemed to get better for the next 4 days because the antibiotic and prednisone were masking the real issue. Until he collapsed again, the lethargy and tremors got worse, the lack of appetite, I go back with my husband because at this point my boy is in critical shape, she storms in the room and said it's pancreatitis he needs an antibiotic shot for his pancreas and he will be all better in 4 hrs. I asked does that explain why he's shaking so much and he can't walk, she said yes its because he's in pain. While liver enzymes were slightly high and pancreatic enzymes were high, PANCREATITIS WOULD NOT CAUSE LIMB AND NECK PARALYSIS/STIFFNESS. She barely checked him, only the assistant took his temperature, only to find out when we went back home, my husband tells me it's like he was water in his lungs hear his breathing. Regardless we left the office so hopeful our boy would be all better, instead he got progressively worse, excruciating pain, not being able to breath, I videoed my boy dying on my bed and emailed it to the doctor, instead of her saying rush to the ER, she said to give him gabapentin and wait to feed him later, how??!! My boy couldn't swallow a thing, I figured out how to give him the pain killers, chocking and struggling to breath, I crushed the pills and fed it with a syringe i happened to have. Hours later no progress I rushed him to the ER 6.30am the next day, as my boy was dying in my arms, in excruciating pain for over 30hrs, we hadn't slept or eaten in 48hrs. The vet at the ER right away noticed the pneumonia via ultrasound and mentioned the severe stiffness, she said i understand the pneumonia but it doesnt explain why the stiffness and his inability to walk, she also said I understand the pancreatitis but still doesn't explain his stiffness. My boy fighting for his life, the vet said we need to test for lyme and lepto. My 13 year old boy healthy and strong boy, healthier than any other dogs his age, no arthritis, just some hearing loss and poor eyesight, died a horrible death because lepto was not caught on time when i first took him, or even a week ago before the symptoms got terribly worse. HOW WAS LEPTO LEFT OUT OF THE TABLE WHEN IT DESCRIBED EVERY SYMPTOM HE HAD???? the lepto had caused the spike in liver and pancreatic enzymes, while it didnt affect the kidneys, which actually increased his chance of full recovery if caught on time and explained every symptom he had!! While pancreatitis didnt!! My heart is destroyed as my boy was robbed from me because of medical negligence. read more

Wish I could give no stars. Totally incompetent money hungry liers! We made a specific appointment for a test that I already had the prescription for from my vet and sent over all our records. The test was urgent but not an emergency yet, I made that clear, and I was promised they could get us in. Then the day of the appointment I call to confirm before leaving. They first tell me there is no appointment and we are not in the system. Later I find out we were in the system but 2 days ago they removed the appointment without telling me. Then I find out they won't accept my doctors prescription even though I sent them all the test results and x-rays. So basically they canceled our appointment because they wanted more money from getting 2 appointments, 1 for another consult that we didn't need to get the prescription for the test that we already had and another delayed appointment for the test which cost $850. It is really great that they claim they record their phone calls because guess what? We ALWAYS record our medical phone calls. They straight up lied putting my pet's life needlessly in more danger and causing him more pain and suffering waiting for what they knew was an important test. Rather, they jerked us around trying to get another appointment and more money. Don't walk, RUN away!!! Found same test with a vet in Howell for 75% less!!! After reading their other reviews, it seems there is A LOT of incompetency with staff, tests, and procedures including doing procedures they know are not prepared to do, botched dental and no pain treatment after surgeries, even a botched euthanasia - Disgraceful!!! So, around April of this year my 4 year old rescue was diagnosed with IVDD, which has the ability to leave your pet paralyzed in their back legs if not treated. Our vet told us a surgery would cost us around $10,000, which we just could not afford. I started doing some research on alternative medicine and came across an article that really made a great argument for pet acupuncture. I found Dr. Minnie whilst Googling for Holistic care for dogs and I can't say enough amazing things about her. Ricardo went from being bedridden and dragging his hind legs to fully being able to walk and run again. He seems to be getting better with every session and he LOVES her. Dr.Hirsch is amazing ! I've never met such an amazing vet . I've notice that when she does a chiropractic adjustment on Spartacus he always feels better immediately and I notice the results last much longer . She is very calm which most vets are scared and nervous of my dog . She knows exactly how to handle him . She is the only vet I've ever met that actually takes her time to inform you of your options and help you make the best educated decisionsfor your pet. I don't know what I would do without her ! Dr, Mimi and her assistant were both GREAT people. Not only did she come out of her way to treat my two German shepherds. But she was so caring and understanding. These are two very big dogs and don't get to meet a lot of people. But they knew how to calm them and do a complete physical's on them. I was under the impression the order had been placed for his hyperthyroidism compounding transdermal medication and kept getting excuses why the mediciation had not arrived only to find out from the compounding pharmacy they placed the order this morning with an expedited shipping status which was an additional $19+, total invoice coming to over $103+. They left out this information. I feel deceived and had been givien the run around. The most important thing is my pet has been suffering without his medication, something they should be aware of. Took my then 9 month old golden retriever there for her rabies vaccine so it would be thimerisol free and because we are looking for a more holistic approach for her care. Dr. B is the best in the business, but other doctors in the new center are not. I've noticed that since they moved to the new building, clients are bearing the cost with hard sell on products. So I took my pup in for his first rabies shot. No problem. Doctor came in, listened to his heart, and gave him the vaccine. It took all of 1 minute. I go to check out and get handed a bill for $160. Wait, what? There was a charge for $92 for a physical examination. This physical exam consisted of getting my guy's temperature by a tech and the doctor getting a heartbeat. I complained, and the doctor came out and said the exam was required by law, and that's what every place else charges. I called four other places. No other place charges for the take-a-heatbeat exam. I was lied to and fleeced at the same time. If you must go here, be prepared to pay dearly and listen to infomercials about snake oil. read more

I booked appointments for each of my Cavalier King Charles Spaniels after feeling like my current vet(s) I've seen for years were constantly dismissing my concerns. I wanted a second opinion, as well as someone who has a holistic approach and reads up on the current research (I feel anyone who still advocates for dangerous tick/flea preventatives & doesn't support a non-commercial diet is just trying to make more money off you or is not a good vet and isn't reading up on the current research). I couldn't have been happier with my experience with Dr. Hirsch. I finally have a vet who listens to my concerns and truly evaluates my dogs. She spent hours checking over every inch of them and diagnosed one with an arrhythmia that my past vet missed. It turns out there were quite a few things my past vet(s) overlooked and had just shrugged off as my dogs' behavior that turns out have medical causes (ex: my one girl constantly chews on her ear to the point where it's inches shorter than the other, turns out she has a huge blockage in the ear that we're currently resolving with drops Dr. Hirsch gave us). Dr. Hirsch truly cares and I wish she could be MY doctor! I couldn't say enough good things and am thrilled to have finally found a vet I can trust with my babies. This place is a rip off. First they had us waiting 30 mins past our appt before taking my cat in even though we got there 10 mins early. Their prices are ridiculously expensive. They want us to get him adjustments weekly for the first few weeks and charge $66 per adjustment?! They also didn't want to let me in with my cat due to covid reasons. This was his first visit and you want me to just hand you my cat? If you have restrictions like that then let the owner know when they're making the appointment! Our dog was having a severe shift in her behavior that we believed was something related to her overall health. A trip to the traditional vet included a very brief physical examination and the decision that our dog should be on Prozac within 45 seconds of the doctor entering the exam room. There was no care, attention, or concern put into our dog. Our trip to Holistic Pet Care was the complete opposite of that to the traditional vet. We were the last appointment of the day and Dr. Hirsch and her team ended up spending well over two hours with us! She went into great detail about everything related to our dog and helped paint a complete picture of her health. She listened to us carefully and was available to answer any questions that we had. Her treatment of our dog was second to none. She showed great patience and care and handled her very delicately. She understood that our dog was dealing with an unknown condition and she was going to do whatever it took to figure it out. Dr. Hirsch was far from the "lets just giver her meds" style that so many vets use. She gave us options ranging from aroma diffusion, chiropractic treatment, to a full blood panel to determine cause. She understood that Western medicine has its place, but it is not the first line of defense. There are less invasive measures that can be attempted first that can be equally as successful. Dr. Hirsch crossed every "t" and crossed every "i." Simply put, Dr. Hirsch and Holistic Pet Care's practice aligns with our health-related beliefs. They see the dog as a series of interrelated systems, not just a dog in need of medication (there's no such thing as a drug deficiency). They recognize how much we love our dogs and they treat them as their own. I, with great ease, recommend Holistic Pet Care to anyone who wants the best for the dog! Do not take your pets to this place! I took my 3 year old husky for a regular check up. My boy walked in there perfectly fine. They examine him, take blood work, etc. I get an email from Dr. Buchoff on a Sunday that my boy came back positive for a bacteria, etc. I get a list of supplements and antibiotics + a recommended additional 3 treatments to cure him and suddenly my boy isn't feeling well after taking these supplements and antibiotics. I sent an email (over a week ago from the date the email was sent to me from Dr. Buchoff) and never received a response. As a first time pet owner, I'm beyond worried and decided to follow up with a call. I was told twice by Chanelle, that I'll be receiving a call back from Dr. Buchoff. Close to 8pm, I call back as I haven't heard back from anyone. Chanelle responds and starts stuttering not knowing what to even tell me. Finally she tells me Dr. Buchoff left for the day. What?! Then she starts talking to me about the treatments (MONEY HUNGRY) when my call was SPECIFICALLY ABOUT MY BOYS NEW SYMPTOMS. I called the next day to cancel all future appointments because I was LIVID at the lack of consideration. I'm a first time pet owner, I get very broad results and needed explanation and nothing! Dr. Buchoff called me the next day after losing us as clients and left a voicemail agreeing that I WAS RIGHT, he should've called me and proceeded to explain what to do. I took my puppy to see Dr. B on the recommendation of several people, including one who has worked with him on other patients for years. I wanted to like this office but I was left so disappointed, that I have no plans on coming back. First, they don't fully explain their pricing and everything is called different things. Then, they push items/services/products on you. However, the biggest issue I had with them is that my appointment time was at a particular time & I chose that time for a reason but even with that my puppy and I waited 30 mins outside in the heat to be let in. It was an additional HOUR after to see the vet and he was disturbed for "emergencies" four times while in with my puppy. If he spent a total of 10 mins with us, I think I'm being generous. I've never heard of a tech knocking on a door for a Vet in with a patient because the other patient leaving just "HAD to speak to him" & then said Vet actually leaving the exam room. I really thought this vet would help me with my pup's digestive issues but I refuse to go to a vet (already 30 mins away) & then have to wait for them for hours. We spent over 2 hours at the vet & he didn't tell me not one thing I didn't already know. This visit was overly expensive for the nothing that was done & such a waste of my time. read more

I brought my dog to holistic pet care not his usual vet I needed him to get neutered because I had felt a lump first time I brought him there the dr said the lump was normal that if I didn't want to neuter him it was not necessary ... never had a vet said that I should have known better ... week later I scheduled his procedure when I got my dog returned I was told he was very sedated gave him back wrapped in the blanket no cone was given only lavender oil and tramedol meds I brought when I got home I saw his stomach was all bloody I didn't realize from what next day I'm looking at his stomach and surgery and I see that they butchered him he was all cut up from the razors that they shaved him and burned he was in so much pain I gave him the pain meds they gave me within hours he had diarrhea with blood I called and they told me to bring in a sample not to bring in my dog I go ugh you don't want to see how he is doing he is cut up they said no and that the test was 45 it was all about money next day my dog got worse it was explosive diarrhea with a lot of blood I flew down to the doctor and requested for him to see him he told me that he didn't know from what and gave him some stupid clay would not give him an actual prescription the. I told him why he was shaved and bruised so badly he said maybe the machines had a missing tooth like it was my problem I demanded to speak to the techs they told me that they all shaved him when I asked who did it like he was an experiment or learning project I was so upset they weren't even sorry I demanded a cone because he kept licking himself and was in discomfort they had the audacity to charge me 40$ for a cone instead of comping it for what they had done. My dog took 2 weeks to feel a little better don't bring you animals here what they did was wrong they are all about the money never again will I go here the doctor did nothing but prescribe stupid lavender oil I ended up going to another vet where they told me the tramedol was making his intestines bleed bc they were for a German shepherd adult dog my dog is 18lb read more

I took my Golden Retriever here to get neutered in 2017. I waited so long to post this because I thought i lost the pictures, but recovered them today through iCloud. I chose this veterinarian because he was holistic, and he assured me that although he uses alternative medicine, that my dog would be neutered traditionally with modern medicine. When I took my dog in, the first thing they gave him was a very strong shot that made his eyes go in the back of his head, his lips quiver, and a loss of balance, he was overly sedated. I was very scared, and they told me not to worry, this is normal and that I needed to leave because me being there was making him more anxious. They told me it would be a quick surgery and they would call in a few hours to pick him up. After waiting for more than a few hours, I called and they said he was ready to be picked up and he did fine in surgery. When I came into the room, he was panting with his eyes closed, unconscious on the floor on top of a pile of used blankets that other dogs had been on. His fresh wound was exposed to this unsterile environment. After waiting for 30 minutes by my unresponsive dog, they told me to grab a bite to eat and come back in an hour. When I came back, he was still pretty sedated, and I asked how they woke him up, and one of the doctors told me she stuck her finger up his ass. WHAT?! i was so concerned for my dog and the state he was in that i could not even process what she just said. When i took him out of the vets office, no one helped me carry my heavily sedated 85lb golden retriever in the pouring rain. I dropped him a few times (he could not walk) as I am a a petite woman, and I felt helpless trying to pick my dog up after he had just had such a painful surgery. The doctor told me not to let him go up the stairs for 2 weeks and that the stitches would dissolve. He did not send me home with any medications, a cone, or instructions, other than telling me to put lavender oil on him if he is uncomfortable. (which i later found out burned him) Immediately when I took him home he started whimpering and did not stop crying. I found him in the middle of the night crying at 4am, and would not stop (my dog NEVER cries) when i called the doctor the next day, he told me my dog was being "whiny" and "a baby" and to stick a thermometer up his butt again to see if there is a fever, so I proceeded trusting him, and since there was no fever he said the dog is fine. The next day, after now 24 hours of my dog crying (he would stand there and cry, he would not eat, not drink, he was in agonizing pain) i lifted his leg and found an oozing, blood red infection. I took him immediately to his regular vet, she gave me topical antibiotics and something to wash the wound with and said to call if it gets worse. The next day, my dog looked like he was in more pain- the infection was so bad, that the topical antibiotic was not strong enough and the wound was so infected it was past the point of cleaning. He had to then stay there the entire day, and receive a steroid shot and stronger antibiotics. It is over a year later, and my regular vet admitted that this neutering was the worst she has even seen. After an additional $500 vet bill to fix what happened to my dog, all i can say is thank god, my dog is alive and well. I would NEVER trust this doctor with any of my animals. My dog is now terrified of having anyone go near his backside, even his groomers. This was traumatizing to him, and i never want another pet owner to go through this agonizing torture with this incompetent vet that says he cares for his animals, yet does not provide the correct, and safe attention that they need. read more

We took our cocker to see Dr. Hersh. He has had an ear infection for awhile. It took two visits, once before the covid crisis and once during. Finally he is doing better. The ear is almost all cleared up and our friend is running around happy again. We waited in the car and the employee came out to pick up our pet. Socially distant with our safety in mind at all times. We love this place! read more

Not very happy for had serious lo I'll. Went in for emergency they started questioning eyes ECT when I was there for servers limp which my husband told me neighbor saw her running fence and was running jumped came down and helped since I didn't see it they questioned it.
