Because I didn't know that! I ordered a root beer float and a banana split from one counter, and they were waiting for me at another counter. I didn't know that sweet treats should be ordered and picked up at the ice cream counter, but now you know. You're welcome. This is diner food at its finest. Lots of fried things and malts and burgers and stuff. Definitely come for the food, because it's great. But also come for the decor and atmosphere. Cammack Station is like stepping back into the 1950s, in the best way.

And I definitely do not recommend anyone coming here for meals. Even though the meals when they are properly repaired are pretty good it is completely offsetted by the horrible service provided.
